Customer Reviews

WOOSTER WOOSTER! I bought the 1", 1-1/2", and the 2" and they are all three great paint brushes for the price. Oh and they are all made in the USA!Me and my wife painted our kitchen cabinets using all three brushes and are very pleased at how they did and how they held up.None of the three shed not one strand during the whole process. Will buy again and again! 5Good value for the money, but not the brush you want for those jobs that require a high quality smooth finish. I had high hopes that these brushes would provide a fine finish. Unfortunately, they do not. I am not a professional painter, but I do plenty of painting. I usually don't stray from quality Purdy brushes, but I've used Wooster products before that were comparable and thought these might be too. The fact that the bristles are softer at the end makes the brush perform oddly as if all the paint is held in the stiffer part of the brush. Despite having the soft tips, it leaves very obvious lines. Thinning the paint helps, but it still isn't enough to get the glass finish I was looking for on the suface I was refinishing. I'll keep these around for other jobs that don't require as much precision. 3Good Brush before I accidentally destroyed one. Good brush. I had used it to apply flexiseal a few months ago then resin painting on plastic 3D parts later. The flexiseal was applied to both plumbing devices and tools using this. It was then applied to an aquarium rear glass as a background. The brush washed clean with acetone when done with each project.Next, I used it to apply epoxy resin to my 3D prints. It was going fine till I got a phone call and walked away from the project forgetting how fast epoxy resin hardens. The container of resin was rock solid and the paintbrush was sticking up out of the top, solidified to the resin when I returned. I had to discard it. My fault. I bought another one to replace it and it works equally as well. The only reason for giving it 4 stars instead of 5 was because it sometimes drops a hair or two into the medium painted. The thicker the medium, the more hair would end up coming out. I keep tweezers on hand with it to pickup any hairs from the painted surface. I tend to paint with thicker glues, resins, and rubber so its probably puts a lot of pressure on the bristles someone just painting with paint wouldn't encounter.A good brush that works well with thick or thin coatings. 4Used Gold Stripe brushes which in my opinion are the best. Since they no longer sell them I tried ... I have been a Professional painter for 35 years. Used Gold Stripe brushes which in my opinion are the best. Since they no longer sell them I tried these brushes. Don't let the plastic handle scare you from buying. They are GREAT ! Not rough on your hands like the unfinished ones being sold at a higher price.Give them a try, for the money and quality you won't go wrong with these brushes! 5Wooster Brushes -- a wide variety of quality brushes for DIY engineers -- durable, economical, re-useable, practical. I have recently ordered a variety of Wooster paint-stain brushes from Amazon. All have been great for staining. Not reactive to petroleum based stains or cleaners (unlike others). All brushes provide an easy to use, easy to clean and re-use brushes. (They also offer rollers and foam brushes.)Recommended.ps: some low-cost brushes here were a total disaster. Wooster (and Purdy) products are well known quality brushes. More expensive than the cheap imports, but re-useable and effective. 5I used to think all brushes were the same... I ordered a painting kit so my wife and I could paint our bedroom and I decided to order an additional brush because my brother (who is a handyman at a hotel) told me that if you spend the money on them, some paintbrushes could be good enough for years to come.I read the reviews on it and it's why I got it; I hate brushes that leave hair in the paint and you have to pull them out (assuming you see them in the first place) and so I decided to pop for this brush. It was wide enough for what we needed (getting closer to the trim on the floor and the ceiling without actually touching it); an edger got the corners. Painting the area surrounding the shower and most of the bathroom (ceiling was done with a roller). Not once did we see a single hair, the brush remained perfectly complete, cleaned up easily and is now stored away. The brush soaked up and HELD the paint very well during its use; i.e. it did not drip down the handle like most cheaply-made ones do.If you're in the market for a one-time mass-produced, cheaply-made brush from China, this is not it.This is the kind of brush you can feel pride to keep around in your garage for the next painting project!I highly recommend you buy it! You won't regret it! 5Perfect brush for use with oil paints Perfect brush for use with oil paints. Great durability and the bristles allow you to blend color beautifully. The handle is very comfortable to grip as well. I am a very happy customer with this purchase. 5A Very Good Paint Brush This is a very good paint brush. The brush holds the paint really well and then releases the paint just as well. The soft tip bristles provide a nice, smooth finish.MY EXPERIENCEI used this brush for an entire day. I cleaned the brush three times and each time the brush looked and performed like new. I lost no bristles. I had no problems at all with paint dripping off the brush. The design of the brush handle and the balanced weight of the brush allows for hour-after-hour of use without fatigue in your hands. The brush was very easy to clean with soap and water after using latex paint.SUMMARY THOUGHTSThis is an excellent, low-cost paint brush for do-it-yourself projects. This paint brush works very well for trimming. I will keep a supply of these paint brushes on hand.I paid $5.73 for this brush from Amazon on May 25, 2014. 5Extremely impressive, especially for the price I only use Purdy and Wooster paint products.- My paint brushes and rollers are by Purdy- My trays, roller holders, and other accessories are by Wooster. After trying 2 of these Wooster brushes on a siding job (to save money), I was impressed and very happy with the ease of use and the good consistency on the result. They are a little stiff when cutting in, but then again I bought the larger 2" and 3" size.Overall, I see no valid reason to continue spending nearly double for the Purdy brand. Wooster wins due to value. 5mr cheap yea that's what my kids call me all my life I would by the 2 dollar paint brushes always have to tape everything before painting built a new house did not like trim color repainted house for 6 days up ladder down the ladder guess what bought these brushes no more blue tape at 7 9 bucks a roll can cut in like a pro with these brushes bought 6 of these only used 1 for the wole house don't buy cheap brushes these Wooster brushes are super spent 60 bucks on tape never need I roll no more mr cheap 5
