Plastic, not metalRated decently, they seem to be pretty sturdy, but DO be aware, they are plastic, not metal. Some of the pix make them appear to be metal, though it DOES say in the details:"Peg hooks are made with recycled high impact, durable polypropylene..."The lost a star by not making that slightly more obvious, but they still seem like a good value. Just realize you may also want to get some metal ones for the occasional "bendy" need. These won't bend.Update: Another observation: They're a bit thicker than metal hooks, too, so some holes which might fit over metal hooks may not fit over these, and/or the space may be tighter than ideal. Nothing wrong, again, just something to be aware of -- probably good to have a set of metal ones as well as these. There's a good assortment set available which includes a lot of useful alternatives, including four smallish (3"dx4"wx3"h) bins and metal hooks.4I bought the 100 piece to get the 50 "J" ... I bought the 100 piece to get the 50 "J" pegs, even though I didn't care or need the "L" shaped pegs, but all of the 92 pieces that arrived were "L" shaped pegs... makes no sense. I have no use for these, so back they go... 1Push, sweat, curse, push againDidn't realize I was getting 2 different style hooks (didn't read the description) but it worked out. Need the straight hooks to hang more than one item.Used a standard peg board from home depot but really had to struggle to get each leg into the hole, bad thing. Pegs seem to be a touch longer than the holes are space. Good thing, it won't easily slip out.Was able to hold all cooking utensils due to limited drawers in new kitchen.Happy with result.4Very disappointed. Change in design; pegs are now undersized and wobblyI have a bunch of wallpeg brand pegboard and hooks, and most of it works well. I ordered these pegs in August 2018 and it would appear that the manufacturer has changed design. Previously their pegs were 1/4" round and fit very snugly into pegboard's 1/4" holes. Now they appear to be significantly undersized, don't snap into place and wobble significantly once installed. The tiny cross-piece added to the pegs does nothing to stabilize them they are so loose in their slots.1ok for the price and amount of hooksThe main thing I like about the hooks is how sturdy they are, so I am pretty sure they will not break or bend. Once installed they work great, the problem is getting them in depending on the board you are using. I tried them on two different boards and one of them they were the right size, but on the second board I have to use a good amount of pressure to get them to go in and it takes a bit of effort to get them out, I think the holes are a little smaller and a little closer together. Overall I think they are good and would buy them again4Fine. But the act of putting them inThe reason they lock in so well is that they are designed to be just a touch too long - the parts that go into the peg board are spaced farther apart than the pegboard holes. Fine. But the act of putting them in, and taking them out, rips up the peg board since it doesn't really fit. If you put the pieces in just where you want them on the first attempt to organize your stuff, and never intend to move it, then great. Otherwise, get ready to shred your pegboard. I'd rather pay up for metal that locks almost as well but is easier to move.2SturdySturdy and easy to install. I think some people are having issues installing these because they expect them to just swing into the board, but you actually need to swing in then pull the hook away from the board then press the peg into the board. I hope that makes sense. They are a great product and I'll definitely buy more once I run out.5Definitely worth the price!So happy with these hooks. I was a little iffy when I saw they were plastic but they have certainly held up very well. They fit very snug in the holes, so snug that I wasn't site that I would get them in. But they are perfect. They don't wobble, they look nice, and they hold a lot of weight. I tried breaking one and it didn't even crack or show any signs of "stress" (you know how sometimes when you bend plastic it gets discolored where it bent? It didn't do that... because it didn't bend enough because the pieces are very strong)5Bag of Miracles-Must Buy!Was in the process of creating a crafting space in a home short in space. So instead of getting table top accessories I decided to use the empty wall space for storage. I crafted a peg board (my first ever) and I love the end result. These hooks are sturdy & not hard to use. At first I wasn t to happy that the package included 2 different types of hooks. However that ended up being a blessing in disguise! It allowed me to create a small shelf on the board with the the L hooks supporting it. Now my Pens have a home.5Inconsistent fit, not easily compatible with Wall Control pegboardsI bought these for my Wall Control metal pegboard, and these are too frustrating to use, so I've had to order some alternatives. I won't claim to know how these work with other pegboards, but for my purposes they are barely usable.Of the L-shaped hooks, several fit easily, not requiring any force or bending to insert. However, most take effort to get in. It's not the simple "push" described in the product description. You need to get the angle right and force it in, bending the bottom peg as much as possible, which still often results in scraping some of the plastic off. I suspect that wouldn't happen on a non-metal board, though.The J-shaped pegs are worse. None of them fit easily, as if the distance between the pegs is just too far to match the board. Just to install a few hooks, I had to try a bunch of them in the hopes one would be slightly easier.Getting them out is also a pain, and one of the L-hooks broke in the process, requiring me to force it out from the back, which would have been much more difficult had I installed the board to the wall already.These hooks may work for you, but if you are planning to use them with a Wall Control board, I'd look elsewhere.2Perfect for pegboards!I absolutely love these hooks! I found baskets that I loved but only had screws for hanging. These worked perfect to hang all my baskets and then some. I thought they were pretty simple to use. I dont think they wobble at all. I have 2 very large pegboards in my office that I used these hooks on! Would give 10 stars if I could! Thank you for making these so I didnt have to use the industrial ugly hooks my husband got!!5You should absolutely try these! I love these! They stay put way better than the metal ones. I was hesitant about buying these because they're plastic. But they're very strong! Obviously not as strong as metal they do bend a little especially on heavy objects but I have yet to have one break. They're a great price and outstanding value in my opinion. You can even heat these and bend them a little to form for custom hook angle. Would definitely buy them again. 5
