Finally a decent inexpensive option for confidence monitors - updated with upgradesI'm using these for 40" & 42" LCD displays for confidence/prompt monitoring in public speaking events. The only issue is the tilt locking bolt/knob needs upgrading to keep the heavier displays at the right angle.Update 07-05-2017These are working out very well for confidence monitor stands, surviving on the road well. I have four currently in use. I've made a couple upgrades that others may be interested in.I replaced the tilt lock knob with these (Metal M6 Dia Female Thread Adjustable Clamp Handle 5Pcs Black): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015K4AA14/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1They're made out of metal and provide a much tighter lock on the tilt plus the handle angle is adjustable.I also replaced the column adjustment screws/locknuts with these (Sportube Wire Case Pin Pack):https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000F65RK2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1They're a perfect fit and they're black so they disappear. So much easier to work with than a couple of screws and locknuts. It's now a tool-less process to adjust the height.Replacement plugs for the rectangular holes in the bases (RC5030MBBK1 Metric Tubing Plugs for 30x50mm OD Rectangular Tubes - MOCAP (qty20)) can be purchased on Amazon here:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00SW0UDOI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=15Very very good item, just a bit frustrating assembly.Very pleasantly surprised. Did not expect such high quality build for such a low price. Very good deal. I was just looking for the cheapest free standing tv stand like this and was willing to settle for low quality but this one is actually very good. I wanted to give it five stars for how well made it is but there was a pretty major frustration during assembly. Assembly isn't too difficult but they don't label the screws. They refer to the different nuts and bolts by letters in the instructions but not on the pouch with the screws. They use about 15 different types so you're left cursing and guessing which one goes where. That's the only problem keeping this short of being one of the best pieces of assemble yourself furniture I've encountered.4Very Sturdy Stand for the Money!!I purchased this TV Stand to use outside of my RV while camping so my wife and I can watch sports outdoors when the weather is nice.. I already had the perfect TV. I was pleasantly surprised at how well built this stand is for the money. Assembly can be challenging as others have noted so I am including a few tips and pics that will hopefully make up for the lack of directions. First of all, if you lay all the parts out as pictured in the inventory section of the assembly instructions, it is much easier to identify the small pieces needed for each step. The nuts and bolts are all packaged in two bags and are layed out in the exact same order as they are depicted in the inventory picture. So lay the hardware bags out just like they are depicted in the inventory picture and you will know which nuts, bolts and washers. to use for each step of the assembly. Also, the 2nd hardware bag that has many different screws and washers in it are for the many different mounting lug configurations that come with different TVs. So don't fret because you won't even be using most of them which makes the task seem a little less daunting. After I assembled the Center Support (A) to the Feet (B), I noticed that the Center Support (A) does not sit dead center on the feet but is offset toward one end. FYI: Once assembled, the longer portions of the feet are designed to be toward the front of the stand. Also, the Center Support (A) has a slight angle to it (difficult to see) that causes the center pole (C) to tilt slightly toward the rear of the assembled stand. (see pics) This is to allow the poition of the TV to be more centered on the stand and the weight of the TV to be toward the front (longer) portions of the feet making it more stable; therefore, DO NOT tighten any of the nuts until you have determined that the Center Support (A) is installed in the proper direction that allows the Support Pole (C) to be tilted to the rear. I made this mistake and had to take it all apart . Once assembled, I decided to make a couple of modifications. I went to my local hardware store (LO's) and purchased beefier washers (silver in picture) for the TV mount brackets because the washers included were not wide enough or strong enough to keep from bending when tightening the screws. I also picked up two 1/4 x 1-3/4 hitch pins (as depicted in the pic) to make adjusting the height of the stand, or disassembly of the stand for travel a breeze. These pins fit perfectly in the existing holes! Once assembled I was very pleased with the end product. Hopefully it will last for a very long time.5Looks great, is very well made and does a great jobAfter a long search, this looked like it was going to do the job and it certainly does. I looked long and hard for a stand for my indoor bike monitor and this is exactly what I needed. The wheels made the final decision to chose the VIVO because it's easy to move away, won't scratch the wood floor and makes it the perfect height. It's made a big difference to my indoor cycling or the winter.5Perfect For Portable, Low Mounting of A Vizio 40"This Vivo Mobile TV Rolling Floor Stand is a tremendous value. It is strong steel, well finished and just right for rolling my 40" Vizio (which weighs only 17 lbs) around the patio for outdoor viewing at the optimal position and height. It looks great and functions flawlessly. It assembled easily. Though it comes with a sheetmetal wrench and a 4mm Allen, I used my own 8mm and 10mm sockets to speed assembly. And a 17mm end wrench to tighten the caster jam nuts. Sadly, one tiny nut was missing; I found a replacement from my personal metric collection of miscellaneous nuts and bolts. Pay close attention to the graphical instructions. I assembled the base upside down before realizing it was wrong. Easily remedied. Also comes with a collection of TV mounting screws, washers and spacers.I was going to mount the TV on the wall, but being off to the side and quite high, that would very much limit viewing angles and no doubt strain necks. What I really wanted was to have the TV in front of me, wherever I might be sitting and also be able to optimize for group viewing if necessary. This little cart is exactly what I wanted. It has 2" high quality urethane casters that roll effortlessly and silently on smooth surfaces. They aren't cheap hard plastic wheels. Each caster's threaded stem screws into a tapped hole. A jam nut on the threaded stem allows you to adjust the casters so all four are on the ground, then tighten the jam nuts to lock the adjustment. No wobble! You'll need a 17mm end wrench to tighten the nuts. Two of the casters are equipped with all-lock brakes that prevent both rolling and castering so the TV stays put if desired. When I'm done, I can simply roll the TV out of the way or into the house for safe storage. The base measures 18x20 inches. My 40" TV is 36" wide. You might think it would be top heavy or unstable, but it's not for me, especially as I have the mast set to near its lowest position. The sturdy steel telescoping mast allows me to lower the TV so that the bottom edge of the 40" TV is 24" inches from the ground -- a few inches above coffee table height. This allows a very comfortable viewing angle when sitting in my somewhat lower patio chairs. In other words, it puts the TV at a very comfortable height to avoid neck strain. The mount is adjustable and accommodates the 200x200mm Visa mount hole pattern on my TV. It can also handle 100x200 or smaller. Other stands have very large mounting bars. This one is small, simple and compact. Be aware its max Visa mount pattern is 200x200. You can adjust for level and tilt. It can tilt up about 15 degrees. It does not tilt down. The tilt is controlled by a knob. Be aware the TV is more or less permanently mounted onto the mast and the mast is bolted tightly to the base using five fasteners with locknuts: it does not come apart easily. If you want to disassemble this device for travel, you'll need to add thumbscrews.I did not want extraneous things like extra shelves for a DVD player. It's clean and simple. Its price is very reasonable. With all the nuts and bolts tightened securely, there is no wobble anywhere.Couldn't he happier. it's well engineered, strong, lightweight and portable.5Poor QualityWas excited for this product, but quickly disappointed. Seemed easy enough to assemble, but there was no good way to put the mount on. There were no additional screws and when the threading was off on one of the screws I had no option but ship the product back. This would have been great if: 1) There was an easier way to mount and unmount the tv 2) extra screws were provided... I am not sure if my problem was with the screw or the screw hole, I just remember it would not tighten and because of this it would not even mount the tv.1Challenging to assemble but looks greatAfter reading the reviews I was skeptical but this was the only option that would work for me and my budget.Let me tell you, the comments have a lot of great tips for putting this together. It is challenging, I won t lie. I made a mistake or two and had to redo those steps. Here s what helped me.The pieces are sealed in a strip bag. Even though they aren t marked they are in alphabetical order. Look for the Allen wrench to figure out where you are and mark each piece of the bagWatch the YouTube video. It s challenging to get to but it is helpful.Assemble and attach the back plate first. I say that because it may not work or you may need other bolts. It is listed as fits most TVs so this will help to know if it fits YOUR TV.There are 4 different size bolts included for different TVs. So you will have extra bolts. Don t tighten the arms too much. You ll need a LITTLE bit of play to align the arms. The very last bolt is a true pain to put it. But if you ve gotten that far you can do it.Take your time. Don t get frustrated because it will challenge you. When you re done you ll be grateful for your efforts and the money saved on this cool piece.5Simple And Functional -- Recommend ConsiderationVery strong. Small footprint but stable. Not too heavy. I mounted a rotation attachment easily to get landscape-to-portrait movement for TV/Monitor. It is simple, a good thing, like raising or lowering a TV/Monitor. I trialed two other stands and the stands themselves added so much weight that even for a strong person two people were needed to raise the height of TV/Monitor. Also, you can buy the stand with casters OR with feet/pads.5Works Great! Needed Some DIY Upgrades !!I bought the non-rolling for a 32 in vizio smart TV. It works great however after having it I've decided to upgrade it. I put in a set of 1$ cotter-pins to allow it to be on the go adjustable. Next time I'm at lowes or homedepot I plan on finding some cotterless push types. I also have some good nice swivel locking stem castors I'm going to add to it. I will add the pics once I'm finished.5Assembly could be easier / plastic knob s/b metal..Assembly could be better if...... 1. If you change the wrench to an open end wrench would make it easier to get into the smaller places. I had to use my own and it went a lot faster.2. Number the plastic bags to match the instructions. Would take the guessing and time spent trying to figure out what's, what!!Also the " plastic " knob not strong enough to hold tv at a slant. These knobs strip easy and don t last long!!4Sturdy, well-made TV stand looks GREAT Sturdy, well-made TV stand looks GREAT. I made one mistake in assembly but was able to take another look at the directions to correct it before attaching the TV. Initially, I intended to use it for a 32 inch TV I'd bought when we first had to make the switch from analog to digital TV's, but this gift, for my mother who is not tech savvy, was to replace an old box TV she was holding on to because it had a built-in DVD player. I'm a "streamer" but my mother is not. I saw a 32 inch TV at Best Buy with a DVD player built in for a reasonable price, so I purchased that. GOOD THING I DID THAT! I didn't realize that the newest TV's weigh next to nothing! I feel a lot better about the stability of the stand, which holds up to 44 pounds with this 11 pound new TV attached. The other reason is that the configuration for attachment to the stand is based on measurements of where the holes are in the back of the TV. It uses a standard of measurement I'm not familiar with but which was included in the documentation of the TV. The stand tells you about these measurements. All in all a TERRIFIC purchase. I'm not going to get rid of perfectly good TV's I have now, but I kind of wish I could replace my flat screens with some of the new ones and use this stand at my own house. We just refinished my mother's room in the house and did not want to put holes in the wall to attach the TV. I have a friend who lives in an apartment who helped me with a few things. He now wants to buy this stand also! It really is terrific! 5Not easy to assemble or adjust the height, but very sturdy and functional Screws, bolts, washers, etc were carefully packaged in plastic by type. Some coding (color, letters, part name/nbr) would have helped identify which part to use when, but we were able to tough it out. Once finished, we really liked it - it is much sturdier than expected for the reasonable price. One caution: it is height adjustable, but not easily - you need to carry the weight of the monitor while sliding the stem up and down to find the right slots, line them up, and then insert two bolts. We're hoping that the current setting that we have it on will serve most, if not all, purposes. We also plan to get some wing nuts to hold the bolts to make it easier to adjust. The tilt adjustment works great. 4
