Customer Reviews

well-madeThis is a solid, heavily-shielded cable suitable for outdoor use. Ignore the molded boots in picture -- this cable comes with high-quality compression connectors. The threaded part doesn't turn very easily, but that's typical of water-resistant connectors -- the metal parts fit tightly together. (Drip-loops and a weatherproof enclosure is still a good idea for any outdoor connections.)I used Vanco 2', 6', and 50' cables to do the outdoor cabling for a UHF TV antenna, pre-amp, and lightning suppressor. Signal quality has been superb and consistent, with less signal loss than I'd calculated. I wish I could replace all the indoor cabling with this stuff. 5Good CableI'm using this quad shielded cable inside for my longest cable run (100 feet total). It's running from a 3way splitter with a 7db reduction from a dual rooftop antenna array which is why I wanted the quad shielded supposed higher quality cable. These cables price at about 27 dollars at Lowe's so this was a seemingly good buy. Would it hold up outside ? I don't know(my primary is a dish network line layed 15 years ago when copper prices were lower) but it is working on my longest cable run inside so I must have received a good one. I didn't cut it exactly to size (there is at least 5 foot extra) but it's working fine. I have no complaints. 4Not like the photo!I don't know details about coaxial specs so I bought this product based on the photo. It had 60 degrees Celsius stamped on it. I noticed these past several weeks when the temp gets around 90 degree's Fahrenheit my air-antenna reception was breaking-up making watching t.v. impossible. This was the 1st and only (documented) temp rated coaxial I have seen so I bought it. UPS dropped it off today and the 1st thing I noticed was it didn't look all shiny like the photo and the temp rating isn't on the cable. I gave it 2 stars because the photo is deceiving and now I don't know if I got what I thought I bought.Update since the above (original) write-up. I decided to still give it a try instead of returning it since I know what I had wasn't quad cable. I have 2 HDTV antennas. The main one is mounted where most antennas are...about 5-6' above the highest point of the house and is similar to the one Lowes sells. And the 2nd antenna is one of those built-in amplifier types that rotates. That one is mounted on the backside of our house and doesn't clear the roof. The main antenna I replaced the 3' section w/ a 12' Vanco Quad that goes from the antenna to an amplifier located in the attic. The 2nd antenna I replaced a 30'with a 25' Vanco Quad from the antenna to the power box that came with the antenna, also located in the attic, side-by-side with the other amplifier. I did the 2nd antenna 1st and also replaced the coaxial going to my sons t.v. with a 25' Vanco Quad. Don't know how long the original was but the 25' is shorter by a little and it was a good fit getting to both amplifiers. The temperature got to 97 and the reception was crystal on all stations except PBS. I have twin toddlers so PBS is our main station during the day and it was still breaking up. The next day I replaced the 3' section on the Main antenna and swapped my sons t.v. to that antenna. The temperature exceeded 100 degrees F. and all the stations were crystal including PBS.I also think PBS isn't broadcasting a strong signal anymore like they use to...reason being is because PBS is breaking up again this morning (Saturday) and all the other stations are coming in strong. I live 30 miles NW of Houston and PBS broadcast inside Houston city limits at Rice University and all other stations come from another town located maybe another 30 miles South of Houston.End of story...Vanco Quad made a huge difference and was worth the extra bucks. And I also updated to 4 stars. I'm still upset the picture didn't match the product. 4Fantastic Coax CableI bought this cable to go from my wall jack to my modem and hopefully minimize any interference with data transmission along the way. It does just that. It's a well-made cable worthy of the price with solid connectors and it has just the right balance of stiffness and flexibility. One note: I believe that Vanco switched out compression connectors for new ones as mine are different than the picture. They are Gilbert 6Q coax connectors. 5High Quality RG6 Coaxial CableI purchased (2) two of the Vanco 200-007-12 RG6 Quad Digital Coaxial Cable with Premium Gen II Compression Connectors for a terrific low price on Amazon! The quality is beyond belief. The compression connectors are strong, solid and are very securely attached to the high quality cable. I attached these cables to a new high definition directional TV antenna. (I live in a rural area) The antenna has a rotation motor built inside of it. The antenna has an adjustable signal gain booster that sits next to my Flat Screen TV. I flip a rocker switch left or right to turn the outside antenna utilizing the rotation motor. The rotation signal travels through this RG6 cable from my living room to the antenna mounted on top of a pole outside to change antenna direction and I receive the High Definition digital signals from the antenna to my TV through the same cable! The antenna can pick up TV stations up to 150 miles away. I know this is not an "antenna review" but explaining my use of these cables seemed important. 5solved my cable extension problemI got the needed extension cable for another room 60 feet away from the service outlet of our unit. The Vanco 200-007-25 RG6 Quad Digital Coaxial Cable did what I expected it to do. The last time we subscribe to a cable service was more than 10 years ago. The old coaxial cable was not designed to carry HD signal making the reception to blank out intermittently. The Vanco 200-007-25 RG6 Quad Digital Coaxial Cable eliminated that. 5well-madeThis is a solid, heavily-shielded cable suitable for outdoor use. Installed from grounding block on a roof in Los Angeles to satellite splitter under the house (so one side is exposed). We'll see how it lasts after a year but connectors seem nice and solid and well protected. 5Nice, heavy duty cable.I purchased this cable to hook my radio to my rooftop antenna. The cable is serving its purpose very nicely. It is a solid core cable so it is a little stiff, but that gives you better image and/or sound quility IMO. The connectors are very nice and have a good feel to them. This cable does not feel cheap at all.**UPDATE** - I am getting ready to purchase another one of these cables. Today is October 28, 2012 so it has been nearly a year since my original purchase and I have to tell you this cable is like brand new. The section of cable that is outside and attaches to the Rooftop antenna shows no sign of wear. This is an excellent product and I have recommended it to family members. Again, it is a SOLID CORE CABLE of very good quality. I just wish picbuck would have read more carefully before giving this cable only 3 stars.**UPDATE** - Today is July 16, 2014 and this cable continues to work perfectly with no signs of wear. Again, I highly recommend this cable. 5Met expecationsFirst thing to note is that this was actually a Monster brand cable (unlike the 100' foot cable I bought from Vanco at the same time). I would never pay a premium for a Monster cable but the price was right on this one. It's a very good cable which I used between a DirecTV LNB and grounding block on a roof in Los Angeles. I didn't use any sort of weather protection on the connectors but pretty confident it will last. I made sure to tug on the connectors and they felt firm and as good as any compression connector I've used (or fastened in my previous life cabling for a living). 5
