Customer Reviews

Cuts RFINeeded this to run from my ham radio to my computer. This cable with the built-in ferrite cores cut the RFI significantly when I connect my ICOM IC-7300 to my desktop computer. Very pleased. 5Excellent cable for USB DACs!I ordered this cable to use with my Audioengine D1 USB DAC. The supplied cable was too short for my setup so I needed to get a longer one. I didn't think a quality USB cable would matter, since it simply passes a digital signal, so I used one that I had lying around that came with some other peripheral. While I don't think the audio quality suffered, I could often hear crackles and pops in the audio when using WASAPI mode with the DAC.I ordered this cable in the hopes that it would remedy this issue, and it did! No more crackles and pops! While I still believe that the quality of the audio itself is unaffected by the quality of a USB cable (it is digital after all), a poor quality cable could probably cause errors in the digital signal that would result in the occasional crackle and pop.Don't waste money on stupidly expensive 'audiophile' USB cables, but don't settle for a low quality one either (especially if you're hearing defects in your audio) when you can get a good quality cable like this for cheap! 5Perfect for digital audioMy speakers worked fine for me from the time I bought them last May, but when things started getting colder, I noticed they would occasionally cut out when the heat came on. The manufacturer's website said this was a sync issue caused by RF interference and suggested the optical or analog inputs. I gave up and went to analog. Well, the other day I got the wild idea that a better-shielded cable might help, and a little googling also made me want ferrite chokes. I also figured a shorter cable would also help just by virtue of being an inferior antenna. So I found this and pulled the trigger immediately after reading M. Kong's review where he dissected one and verified the shielding and chokes.Well, this seems to have done the trick. I CAN make them hiccup if I fiddle with my thermostat to make the heat go on and off repeatedly and very, very quickly for ten or fifteen seconds, but with the old cable, I could always make the audio lose sync with fewer than ten cycles, whereas now it takes some work, and I can now listen to music uninterrupted (I have been for three hours now). When I bought it, I hadn't even read the numerous other reviews that recommended this cable for the same reason I got it for, but they're all correct. This is a near-perfect cable for DACs, USB speakers, and USB headphone amps. 5Dissected the cable, and the shielding is confirmed!I bought two, and I chopped one of them up to see how well it was made.I can confirm that there is complete metallised mylar coverage around a two layers of braided wire shielding. The data lines inside the shielding are twisted, like they should be. The chokes are also legitimate ferrite rings.I love it when manufacturers are honest. 5a crappy cable is just thatA cable's a cable right? Well, a crappy cable is just that, a crappy cable. I had a A/B cable that I just found laying in a box of cables, probably from an old printer and used that to connect my external DAC to my laptop. I would have weird power issues on my DAC once in a while and I'd have to unplug and replug the cable into the laptop for it to work. I figured I'd just get a new cable since it was bugging me enough..I found this cable and given the price, I figured it wouldn't be too much of a risk trying it out. Well, I'm happy to say that the cable is of high quality and there have been zero issues since replacing my original cable. I would happily buy more Tripp Lite cables without hesitation. 5Excellent shielding quality!Excellent shielding quality. Used to connect my ICOM 7300 to my computer and I no longer have the computer connection drop when I go above 20W on 30m. Now I can go all the way to 100W with no problems. Would recommend, will buy again. 5Worked great and the built in chokes work well to minimize RF interference.Worked great and the built in chokes work well to minimize RF interference. I use this between my IC-7300 Ham Radio and my MacBook Pro for digital modes. I Had a normal one before (no chokes) and it often caused issues with dropping the link between the radio and computer. Took a while to figure out what was going on. Once I replaced it with this it is much improved. I would also recommend to get the shortest one you need as the longer it is the more surface it has to pick up RF signal. 5Excellent cable for reducing electrical interferenceI'm a DJ and I've been experiencing some weird random disconnects between my controller (Numark NS7 2) and laptop (MacBook Pro). I thought it was a power issue, so I eliminated some factors, got new power strips, but still had it occasionally. The USB A/B cable I was using had a Ferrite choke on it, but I thought adding another might help. It was also nice to go down in length, as I really only need 2-3 feet or so but I was using 5-6ft cords. This has been the perfect answer - less cord clutter behind my controller, and the two ferrite chokes seem to be helping as the dropouts have been minimal. I'm hoping this solves my problems! I've always felt all USB cords are essentially the same, but this experience makes me think I need to get rid of my older USB cords as they may just be too old and not up to snuff anymore. 5Works.Does the job. Nothing special to report. Didn't notice any changes or significant benefits to use this cable over any other cable I already had.I use a pair of these cables for Native Instruments Traktor and a MIDI controller. Again, no noticeable difference when using this cable. That said, that weren't any worse either.I do like that they are double choked and that they are short in length. Excellent for the table with turntables and other equipment. Keeps the table tidy and makes cable management easier. 4Highly reccommended cable for digital scanner.I got this for my pc to scanner cable, I bought a high quality Pro grade Epson scanner, and it shipped with a very long USB cable. I know that when it comes to USB cables. the shorter the cable the better is always the rule. This cable is only three feet long, and has dual ferrite filters (one on each end) just like the cable that epson sent. Due to the massive amount of data that a high resolution scanner sends back to the pc, I wanted a top qulity cable. I feel confident that is exactly what I have. No worries here. 5
