Fits perfectly, goes on smoothly, enhances display, and reduces fingerprints!It fits my Macbook perfectly, but you HAVE to be sure your model number matches the listing of the product here. The screen protector does not compromise display at all- it enhances it, if anything- and as an art student that is incredibly important to me so I am very pleased. If you have ever placed a screen protector on your phone it applies similarly. Use a lens cleaner and the suede cloth included to THOROUGHLY clean your screen beforehand, and the raised edges of your laptop screen should ensure an even placement. The oleophobic quality is GREAT. I had a great time smudging my hands all over this thing and not one fingerprint showed up! If you apply it slowly and evenly, no air bubbles either. I highly recommend it.5Pleasantly SurprisedKey takeaways:I'm impressed. It's high-quality glass, and the fit and finish are excellent.Protector is sized almost to the exact RMBP screen dimensions. Because of this, don't try to eyeball anything when you apply. Just hold the top edge of the protector against the lip at the top of the screen at an angle. It will just naturally butt up against this lip, and the curves on either side will almost self-center the entire protector. Then just slowly angle down to like a hinge to apply the rest.It might be slightly more reflective, but it also seems to attract much less dust than the actual screen did.Shower method seemed to work really well for me when applying. I have zero air bubbles.The corner radii are tightly matched to the 15" MBP. Fits like a glove.Lid still closes fine.I have a 2015 15" MBP that I love. I actually prefer this model over the newer versions, and am trying to maximize it's longevity as a result. So I try and take good care of it, including the gentlest cleaning of the screen possible. But the screen coating on these macbooks has always been a weak point, and even with the gentlest of cleaning (water, maybe a hint of vinegar, always-clean microfiber cloth, etc), the screen coating was starting to erode at the edges of the screen. Happily, the beginnings of this erosion are as-yet confined to the portion of the glass outside the bounds of the actual LCD, but I do graphics work on this computer, and the thought of having anything happen to the glass that would cause artifacts/issues with viewing the screen were starting to freak me out as the eroded areas grew slowly over time. I couldn't clean the screen any gentler, and I was already cleaning less often (which also meant working with a dirtier screen). I figured my best bet was to try and find some kind of screen protector before it was too late.I bought this screen protector, which looked like the best bet out of not a lot of options. The good news is that it's actually a really nice product. The directions are useless, but I managed to get in on with zero air bubbles. You really can't tell it's there. The reflectivity might be slightly more pronounced than with the actual apple screen, but let's face facts -- that screen is hella-reflective, anyway. Here are my key takeaways after applying this screen: I used the hot shower method another reviewer mentioned, and it worked like a charm. Just run a shower on hot with the door closed while you clean the macbook screen in another room. Once steamy, turn the shower off, close the door, and let the steam settler for 3-5 minutes. Take the laptop, cleaning cloth and screen protector into the bathroom and shut the door. Clean the screen one last time, making sure there are no dust specs. I find it easiest to have your laptop screen flat on a horizontal surface (keyboard raised at an angle). This makes it easier to apply the film without straining the hinge. Pull out the screen protector, and orient it so that the side with the adhesive is facing down towards the floor and the cutout for the camera is oriented towards the top. Remove both sides of the plastic covering the adhesive. start applying from the top, but do it by coming in at an acute angle. Note that there is a raised lip around the screen, and you need to apply the protector so it sits inside this lip. So use the lip almost like a hinge, and just butt the protector up agains the top, make sure it has space on the right and left, and then slowly lower it down to the bottom. This will ensure that the screen is symmetrical along the top edge (where it is most noticeable), and that the camera cutout will align with your camera. Finally, use a credit card wrapped with a a cloth to slowly move any air bubbles to the edges. I would not wait to do this, as it seems to get more difficult as the adhesive sets. I had the best luck moving very slowly. It takes a bit of patience, but they will move. I did wait a day to try on e again and got it do move to the edge, but it left a little outline in the adhesive from where the bubble had sat. This thankfully seemed to go away completely in a few hours.(Note: I didn't use either any of the stickers included with the protector. In particular, do not worry about the alignment stickers. The screen is cut very close to the dimensions of the RMP screen. You won't need the stickers.)5I am happy - tips in reviewThe first unit sent to me was either the wrong box or another monitor shape got into a mid-2015 MacBook Pro box. After I installed it, I could see it was not right. The bottom of the protector had a slight curve to it. As I removed the protector, it snapped in the corner. So 1) it is real glass and 2) be careful.A note to FORITO - you do not need to make the hole for the camera. I think it would be better without it, but still a nice protector.The seller made things right and approved my return. The new unit arrived and it's the correct shape.These can be tricky to install. The first one gave me some practice. First, turn off the laptop. When the screen is on the electric fields generated attract dust. Move to a dust free room. Some use the shower method to fog a room and knock down the dust. I recommend using more glass cleaner than is provided to remove all oils from the screen, then use the dry wipe they gave you, then use a clean microfiber screen cleaner to get all residue off. Look at the screen at an angle and get all the swirls off with the microfiber cloth. Make sure to clean the corners real good and wipe twice as long as you think you should. Remove the protector from the foam sleeve. You will now remove the backing film the exposes the sticky backing. Use the dust sticker to clean any specs off the protector and the LCD right before you apply the protector. If you mess up, you can very carefully remove the protector but you risk smudging the sticky side along the edges and attracting dust as you pull the protector off. I would practice with the screen protector backing on and go through a couple dry runs. If you dilly dally with the backing off dust and fibers will float to the screen. When you install, don't worry about the non-backing side as you can clean it after the protector is installed.Now, I installed it with what I call the center method. Holding the protector on the left and right edges (being careful to not smudge the sticky side) at the mid-points, I slightly flexed the center inward, then rested the center of the protector on the bottom rubber seal around the LCD, then slowly attached the protector from bottom to top only on that center vertical stipe. After that operation I now had a vertical strip adhered from the top to bottom. I then, very slowly, moved the left and right edges towards the screen. This allows the protector to slowly expel the air as it adheres to the LCD screen. Using this method I had no air bubbles at all. For good measure I used the credit card/microfiber method stoking from the center outward. If I have to do it again I could get it perfect. As is, I am off a millimeter based on the camera hole alignment. I have no bubbles and one spec of dust around the black edge, so I'm calling it good.If you remove it a couple times it's not the end of the world, but it will be hard to make it perfect. Do a couple dry runs to get your technique down.The first unit I received did not have the hole for the camera and the camera worked fine. If I was FORITO, I would remove the camera hole. It's not needed.Once installed the protector is great! It should come like this from Apple - wish I had installed it before my new screen developed two small nicks from the keyboard when the lid was closed.5Pretty SimpleI just installed this on my 13 inch MacBook Air. It was a breeze to install and only took a few minutes to get all the air bubbles out. If you have air bubbles just take a debit card and work them out to the edges. Works like a charm. Now I can protect my screen and when it gets dirty clean it with glass cleaner. No damage to my screen makes me happy. :) It seems to reduce glare. The adhesion is good as well. Make sure you have it placed right the first time!5Brilliant ProtectionFor starters, I didn't know if this glass screen protector was going to be a good investment. Because know a days I tend to go after the pricier name brands just to be safe and make sure that I buy something that will be good. But I decided to give the Forito glass screen protector for my 15 inch MacBook Pro Retina Display a shot! Let me tell you that I am one happy customer now. The packaging is really nice, and when I finally put the screen protector on my computer, I loved how it looked and it does not mess up the retina display. So many islands of glue you can see in my pictures all over the screen. These are visible with the screen dim especially if you work in dark places you dim your display and they all pop out. That s the worst part, I have 2 iPhones 8 with screen protectors and none of them have these island all over when display is dim.3. One corner of the display doesn t even stick on. I can t return it because it passed 30 days and I just installed.4. Another corner cracked so easily as I was holding to lay it on the MacBook screen, I very much doubt this is a 9H type of hardness.16.99$ down the pipe.1Looks HDI really love this screen protector! It was pretty thick, making it clear that it is real tempered glass. It came with everything you will need for installation; an extremely high-quality microfiber cloth, two-step cleaning wipes (wet and dry), and clear-cut instructions. There is still a slight glare, as you can see in my picture, but normally without the screen I wouldn't be able to see what's on the screen at all, where I placed the computer in the picture. I wasn't sure it would work to my liking but it did.I didn't use the wipes provided, (one wet to clean the screen and one to dry). They're very small like alcohol pads. I cleaned the MAC book screen (pro retina 15") with a lens wet wipe. It left minor streaks on the perimeter but didn't hinder the application of the tempered glass. I'm a bit OCD with such things but the streaks are only visible upon close inspection. I didn't see it until after the glass was fixed to the screen. Absolutely use the wipes Forito provided! The wipe (labeled number two) prevents wet streaks.Don't use the dry cloth on your screen preapplication. ONLY use the provided wipes, as mentioned above, then immediately apply the glass. It goes on like a magnet. I had to relift it due to one or two large air bubbles. The right corner I picked at to lift it off didn't reflatten nicely but that's common with most protectors.How did I get the glass on perfectly? Slowly apply the glass left to right, keeping it even, top to bottom, as it flattens to the screen. It does so independently. Gently coax it down with the cloth if it becomes slanted as it moves. This prevents and levels air bubbles.I'll revise this review with a photo. Also I didn't use the stickers (accidently missed their presence in the folder) to line/mark the screen. I lined it up with opening for the camera. More often than not, I'm a like child in need of hand holding when it comes to products and instructions. The company definitely takes pride in their products.5Bubble Free Glass Screen Protector for your MacBook Pro!Excellent glass screen protector for my 15inch MacBook Pro Retina late 2013 model A1398. Make sure to apply it in a dust free area! Just run the shower on hot and steam up the whole bathroom, turn the water off and let the steam settle down for 5-10 mins. Get in quickly and start the process!I got two 10mm diameter bubbles and multiple tiny bubble-like imperfections all over after application with no dust trapped inside and tried squeezing them out as much as possible from the center of the screen going to the sides using a credit card wrapped with the provided cloth. All the tiny imperfections disappeared with the screen appearing nice and smooth looking as if there wasn't any screen protector, but the two 10mm diameter bubbles remained trapped half an inch away from the edges. I decided to wait overnight and started squeezing the bubbles again in the morning, and one bubble disappeared. And then I started squeezing out the other one in the afternoon and it also disappeared! My screen looks perfect, you won't even know there's a screen protector on it, not until you look at the oval window provided for the camera.Highly recommended product! The webcam area is been cut out, so it would make cleaning bit harder. There is no anti-glare film, so use with in door with low light. Lack of apply tool, which could use any plastic card as apply tool, but kind annoying.Other: During installation, there is hair line of bubble between the glass and screen all over screen. I manage to removed took it outside (95 degree that day) let it heat a bit and use the cloth rub on the surface remove the air.Overall: It is only one I have find on amazon that is decent.5
