to make setup and teardown fast and easy. I have the Line6 PodHD 500Really helps tidy up my stage cabling. I created a little sub-snake for my guitar rig with this, to make setup and teardown fast and easy. I have the Line6 PodHD 500, and run 3 XLR lines through the loom to my board. Lines 1 & 2 carry the stereo L/R output, and the 3rd XLR line carries power to the board thanks to a pair of plug adapters that I made. This loom keeps everything manageable. This loom tends to start fraying rapidly when you cut it, so it's best to use a hot knife or run a lighter over the end. I just cinched down the ends of the loom with a zip tie instead, and that's worked fine for me.5BEST Answer for the Problem of a Cable Rat's NestVery easy to use - - and RE-use.I transport a "system" - including 27" monitor to supplement my MacBook, backup drive, scanner, cooling platform, wired keyboard, speakers and other toys - back and forth between desks (on a seasonable basis) and this stuff lets me keep the cable clutter down to the level of an "organized mess" - much better than the cable disaster I used to face. Taking these off and putting them back on is a piece of cake. And it's easy to let one conductor "escape" if it needs to go somewhere different than the rest.Sharp scissors and careful trimming will deal with the potentially jagged edges one reviewer was concerned with. Besides - I don't need "pretty" - - just "organized".MUCH easier to use than the plastic "spiral" design alternatives. Much neater than a bunch of cable ties. I think this is the best solution for cable management.4huge aesthetic improvement! easy to installThis is great for pulling together a small number of wires into a clean bundle. I used these on a home entertainment system where some wiring was visible behind the TV. It looked so much better after I spent 5 minutes gathering wires together with the TechFlex. The material has a natural ability to grab wires and easily follow them, which means you can install this stuff in a matter of seconds by simply sliding your finger down the side of it with the wires in front of it. Once it grasps the wires, it won't let them go until you decide you need one: then you can simply push your finger in, grab the wire you need, and pull!Great design!5Gives your DIY amp install a professional lookAfter installing an Alpine amp in my car (a DIY project I took on due to the ridiculous labor price of my local radio shops) I wanted to give the cables running into the amp a cleaner look. This TechFlex worked perfectly. It is easily expandable & with the "0.50inch split" I was able to wrap around the two 8 gauge wires (my power & ground) easily.Note:The only Con I can think of is that cutting it is a little tricky. Moreover, the point @ which you cut it at looks very rough & shreads. I had to do some finessing (with a pair of scissors) to keep the edges as clean as possible.I posted some images of my Alpine MRV-F300 amp w / the TechFlex cable...5Amzimg stuff for organizing cable runs!Ok this stuff is amazing! The best cord / cable organizer ever. Its very flexible and expands and contracts to perfectly fit the cables you have inside. You need to get the right size to start however as the minimum diameters are just that. We used these to wire our recording studio and figured it would be helpful for people to know what size fits what in the real world. The 1/2 version inch will fit 4 standard extension cords or 5 xlr cables before maxing out.The 3/4 adds about 3 cords to each number. We found both of these sizes useful in our project. And the 3/4 white was awesome for hiding some cable against some finished trim .The 1" was a bit large. You could easily fit 9-10 cords in that maybe more. That would be a serious cable run.The material is a woven plastic that feels like rough fabric. Its quite nice stuff. You can cut it with a scissors just make sure you melt the cut edges with a lighter to keep it from unravelling / fraying. This stuff is indispensable if you want to organize your cable runs! The white would work awesome for home theaters or wall mount tv's if you needed to hide cables!5Best i've ever used.. really.Same review posted on the 3/4 inch sleeve.By far, the best split sleeving / loom that I have used. If you are still using the brittle plastic garbage from the auto parts or big box store, you really should try this. It's very easy to open the sleeve, and it's very forgiving. You can make a larger size work for smaller wires ( zip ties to keep it tidy ) and also a smaller size can work for larger wires, again.. zip ties help.I cut mine with a perforated metal scissors and don't have an issue with frayed ends. If you really wanted to make it pretty, you could heatshrink the ends after you cut, but that does involve more planning, and in some cases isn't possible if you are working with multi-sized wiring harnesses.Between 1/2" and 3/4" Techflex F6 sizes, I covered an entire automotive wiring harness, cutting and zip-tying where needed to cover it mostly with the sleeving. Not only does it look good, it's much easier to handle without worrying about snagging wires. This provides a barrier from the elements. It's breathable, so I wouldn't use it as a heat shield or anything - there are other products which can cover this to protect wires from extreme temperatures.4and I will admit it fits great, and looks awesomeThis gives my wiring harness I made the factory appearance, and abrasion qualities necessary for a longer life . The wiring slipped right in, and was fully covered by the sleeving . I used clamps to hold it to the back of my dash and to the frame on my 1972 Jeep CJ5 , and I will admit it fits great, and looks awesome ! Much better than the factory offerings . I would also like tosay that I received my shipment before the scheduled date, and was packaged well, so Thank You very much for an awesome product !5The perfect solution for my wiring messThe perfect solution for my wiring mess. I had about 8 wires running across my floor, from small speaker wires to standard Ethernet cable, and it was pretty unsightly. This sheath allowed me to bundle them all together neatly. I'm very happy that it had the split down the side...it would have been a much tougher job if I had to disconnect everything and thread it through the sleeve. I got the half inch diameter size, and while it worked well for me, it was a pretty snug fit. The job probably would have been easier with the 3/8" size, but I like the look of the smaller size. The quarter inch would have never worked for me. It's easy to cut into sections, just be sure to melt the cut ends with a butane lighter so it won't unravel. All in all, a great inexpensive solution to getting rid of an eyesore.5Effective and easy to work withDelivery was fast. Photo accurately depicts this product - note that some very similar products do not have the split which I wanted because it makes fitting the cables into the sleeve very easy and once "loaded" the sleeve closes on itself by wrapping up on itself with a spring-like action. Velcro or other adhesive not needed. There are many cable management products like this, but I chose this one because it appeared flexible once loaded and I was not disappointed. I use this to combine and control my instrument and microphone cable in a band setting. I'd guess that if it were loaded to the maximum # of cables, making a tight 90 degree turn would cause the split to open at that point, which is what I'd expect from other similar products. Simple cable ties before and after the turn would easily address that.As to the issue of cutting / fraying: Yes, this material does fray when it's cut. That's why the description clearly says a hot knife is recommended. I simply used a match to melt the frayed end - easy, effective, and it looks fine. CAUTION: like all plastics this is flammable, be prepared to blow it out as you would a candle. Also, when you melt the cut end to prevent it from unraveling, you'll want to hold the end of the tube open - no big deal - otherwise you'll melt it in its closed position (see photo). In the end, I'd buy this again to control cables / wires. I think a tan or other neutral color would be a good idea for use in homes where this would be visible. For my application, black is best.5I have used various sizes of this material to tidy ...I have used various sizes of this material to tidy up wiring on my various ebike builds. This time I got 25 ft of the versatile 1/2" size... tired of using up the 10-foot paks and needing more.I use a bbq lighter to do a quick pass over a cut edge to keep it from unraveling. After that facing the end with some sort of tape or velcro onewrap keeps it looking neat.5
