It WorksIt works fine. It's of no consequence to me but the connectors aren't the design shown in the ad -- see picture5Exactly what I ordered and working!The first order of everything I ordered they Amazon delivered it to my Neighbor, when I went to him to get it he said he received no package, but the Amazon driver said he delivered it directly to me, which he did not. Their mistake, got the order again last night and it was perfect exactly what I ordered and all the parts are great! Everything is working as I expected it would! Very easy to install and get working! Also reusable Startech bag to boot!5A short Ethernet cable! Yes!!! My home desktop doesn t look cluttered anymore! I had a hideous yellow 4 feet Ethernet cable and now with this short black cable, I don t even see it anymore! 5It's a CAT 6 cable... not much to review.It works as promised. I'm not real thrilled with one of the ends, which doesn't "snap" into place as it should, but it still works. To be fair, I may have somehow damaged the end while running the cable from the switch to its destination, though I'm not sure either way.4Good CablesSince I just got the cables it s difficult to assess durability or bang for the buck, but they do seem to be well-made. Feels like they may be wrapped (shielded). The colors I wanted (orange and purple) are a bit hard to come by but wasn t much of wait - 1 or 2 extra days and I was advised of this slight delay at the time of purchase.5Dead at the first use but the company sent me another one immediatelyI bought It a year or 2 ago and stored in a box Now I needed it for faster home network, I took it out and connected it between switches only at this time I found it is dead. I should have tested it when I bought it, what a waste! I am wondering if they have ever tested it when it was out of the factory? I used my net cable tester and found 2 of the wires inside the cable are broken.Update: as soon as the company verified the defective cable, they sent me another working one almost immediately. Thirty seconds to hook it up, a few more to put the cable along the carpet edge and I was back in business. No issues, works great.The $46 went back in my pocket the next day. I spent $13 on Amazon.This is yet another example of Best Buy being the showroom for Amazon.5Great patch cables for networkingI wanted to get a better cable run from my Roku box to my network switch / wireless router, and to hardwire the TIVO instead of using wireless. Since this was in my living room, I didn't want any bright colored, tangled cables. I like the off-white color of these cables.I've bought StarTech cables in the past, and like the soft feel, and the way they lay straight and don't twist or stay bent.I bought Cat 6 grade because that's the fastest, for Gigabit Ethernet. Not that the old TIVO HD is anywhere near that fast, but might as well plan for the future for the extra buck or two, as home networking will get faster.Price is much less than they would be at Best Buy, and the quality is better.Quality cable, great price.5
