Bottom part broke, but still using after 3 yearsI bought this snap-on case in matte grey blue when I got my early 2015, 13-inch MacBook Air. I would describe the color as a pretty blue that s a bit darker than sky blue. I love the color, but I chose it partly because the keyboard cover it came with was clear, haha I don t like the way colored ones look on the keyboard.About a year in, the bottom piece broke I didn t realize it cracked until I cut myself on it. I threw that piece away, but I m still using the top piece and the keyboard cover, 3 years later. The bottom piece seemed a bit tight, and I was worried about it scratching my laptop when taking it off. I haven t taken off the top piece since I put it on, and it s easy to clean just wipe it down.I haven t taken off the keyboard cover, either I actually haven t typed on the keyboard without it before, haha! Some people might not like the feel of it, but I don t mind; I don t type very fast and I would rather my keyboard stay clean. After 3 years of use, there s a bubble in the middle of the keyboard cover, but I don t really mind. If it starts bothering me or gets too dirty, I ll just get a new one.The case is nice to protect from dirt/crumbs/small spills or to just have some color/personality for your laptop, but I don t know how well it would protect your laptop from a drop because it s pretty thin. If you use a laptop bag it might not matter, though. I bought the case with the intent of using a laptop bag/neoprene case along with it, but depending on the bag your laptop might not fit with both the top and bottom piece of the case on. Since I just have the top piece one now, my laptop fits perfectly in both the laptop bags I have!After 3 years, other than the bottom breaking, the case and cover have lasted pretty well.4What you should expect for the priceI love this color, it really is what it looks like online. Its pretty bright and really cute. However, it was a bit difficult to get on and I've had several other cases like this, so I'm usually pretty good at putting them on. At some points it felt like it was gonna snap before clicking into place. Also, I'm really careful with my computer and rarely bring it anywhere with me and it is still scratched up and places have cracked off. It doesn't even really do anything now because the bottom piece can just slide right off the laptop if I pick it up or move it at all. I think this is a good case to prevent scratches, but I'm pretty sure if you were to drop the laptop at all, that this would not help protect it. Its a pretty cheap case, but still pretty good, but I wouldn't expect it to last very long. I haven't even had mine for a year yet and it needs to be replaced.3I bought the case to protect my 13" MacBook and it does a great job. I have two things I would like ...For $11 you can't go wrong! I bought the case to protect my 13" MacBook and it does a great job. I have two things I would like to see improved. First, the rubber feet on the bottom do not stick well to the case. I've already lost six of them. They do ship with a spare set of four but I went through those within the first week of use. Now I'm down to only two and the machine sits uneven and slides around. Second, the front edge that makes contact with your wrist if very sharp and actually hurts when used in a certain position. It'll leave an indentation in your skin. But again, it's only $11 and does a good job of protecting my $1,200 MacBook. I would definitely buy another one.UPDATE: I should have updated sooner. I reach out to the seller about the feet and they sent new ones out right away. Also, I'm still using the same cover on my machine - it's held up well!5Excellent product and better then expected!Purchased the GREY / BLUE for (2016) 13.3" Mac Air.For less then $10 I was expecting something to be wrong with this product. Maybe it won't fit correctly, have a port covered, look stupid, something. I am very happy to say that not only the hard cover but the keypad cover fit and function perfectly. I am extremely surprised for the money I paid.COVER: A perfect fit! No ports were covered up. It looks great and is very thin (yet plenty strong) Looked good in reviewer's photos but I was worried in real life the cover would look like a cheap, typical "snap on cover." This thing fits so perfectly and it's so thin, it looks like an Apple factory option. In fact, you really can't even tell it's a cover because it fits so perfectly, it actually looks like the computer's color itself.KEYPAD COVER: I have owned a few of these silicone covers in the past and this is by far the best one. A light "massage" and the cover will fall into place, covering all of the keys to perfection. This cover is very soft and thin, it's clear but a lightly "frosted" clear. My only complaint of this entire set is the keyboard cover feels a little too grippy. If your a real "ASDF" typist you may have some trouble. Since I just peck the keys however, I do not have any problems.Looks great and the lighted keys shine through easily.I am amazed this set is less then $10 and works so well, a solid 5 stars.5LOVE IT !!!FYI, I purchased the Masala Red case (which is like a burgundy/wine color). This is a fabulous case. I love it. Bought many of these cases in the past, and I've got to say this is my favorite. Fits perfectly; has a smooth finish to the outside of the case. I also love the fact it comes with a clear keyboard cover so I can still use the backlighting of my keyboard which I love and demand on any laptop I buy. I know, I know - you don't get a pretty color to spread all over your keyboard, but for some reason, those colorful keyboard covers always color the lettering with something that is remotely readable so you can't see the lettering at all, which makes it a "NO" for me. I think you'll be very happy with this case if you decide to give it a try.5You won't regret it!Good price for a great product. I love how the case has a matte feeling. It does get dirty easily but it's not a problem, things get dirty all the time. I cleaned mine with some dish soap and a sponge. The keyboard cover was also nice because it was thin and blended well with the MacBook's keyboard. You can see it in the picture. It was hard to type with but I guess it just takes times to get used to it.5Good price for this combo!This fits my 13" MacBook Air (mid 2013). I can't remember the actual model number (it's A-something) but make sure you check before you order (to find it just look at the bottom of your laptop). I got it in hot pink and it's not opaque like I wanted it to be, but whatever; this case is a good price. I know because I've had 2 cases like this so far over the years (they were basically the same as this one, just a different color) and they were all around this same price (even 5 yrs ago).Keep in mind, cases like this don't actually offer much protection. They will help avoid minor scrapes on the outside surface but you could still get a dent in the frame on the sides (don't expect any other case to do much better though).The downsides of this case are: unless you get it in black, it can stain and look dirty easily. My old cases had the same weird "rubberized" finish as this one. I really hate the way it acquires dirty-looking scuffs, smudges, and finger marks on it (some of them were like permanent dirty stains on my old cases and I can already see it will be no different with this one). Wiping it down occasionally helps, but I only use water (I remember using lysol wipes once and I think it did something to the finish that made it even MORE prone to staining).Another downside can be that cases like this are sometimes impossible to install (if you happen to get a defective one--which happens) or impossible to remove without injury to your laptop once you "install" them (consider this before you lock it into place!). This one feels a tiny bit more flexible than my old ones, but I just tried to remove it out of curiosity and yeah. It's staying on there. If you have all the little tabs clicked into place or even just most of them, just consider it permanent (until they finally crack and break).The keyboard cover this case comes with fits REALLY WELL for a cheap keyboard cover, so i'm really happy with it! I consider a keyboard cover to be essential because my old MacBook Pro (that I only had for a few years) had so many crumbs in it that I used to hear it crunch when I typed and sometimes the keys malfunctioned (I've often wondered if it was why it malfunctioned in other ways too). The letters and numbers all match up (even on my old laptop!) but they're all slightly off center on this cover, so there's a tiny bit of a blur. It's barely noticeable. I can't stress enough that it fits REALLY GOOD and it's the perfect texture and thinness! That's a rarity in my experience (even the more expensive ones suck sometimes). I didn't realize how much my old one was slowing me down until I got this one (they tend to loosen with time so if this company sells them separately I will probably by an extra one).4Nicest price for twin product but the discription is misleading.Your description of "Ruban - AIR 13-inch" is misleading:CRYSTAL CLEAR & RUBBERIZED 1. "Rubberized Hard Back Case, I agree it is HARD (Front & Back) but I can't feel any of the "Rubberized" parts 2. Keyboard Cover is frosted & definitely not CRYSTAL CLEAR !5 STARS: I like the BACK CASE because it looks like glass & I can put pictures the family I love! So, I decided to keep it for my laptop because it is the same QUALITY & MAKE as my friend s who paid $10 more. Hers came with a sleeve which has a stinking smell that didn t go away after 4 days of using Febreze & emptying the whole container on it, she ended up throwing it in the trash.3 STARS: I did not like the KEYBOARD COVER because it is frosted & obstructs the letters. I put it on my coffee table for anyone to take!That s how I gave it 4 STARS!4The color is pretty, but I'm disappointed in the quality.Update after a few months of use:It still looks pretty, but I'm disappointed in the quality. One corner lost a chunk about 1 inch long (I'm not sure when, nothing traumatic has happened to it and I didn't notice it until later). This isn't a big deal, it is a small piece and the rest of the case keeps that piece away from most surfaces anyway. What is more of a problem is that the bottom clips keep "unclipping" with the slightest pressure, like having my hand on the trackpad and my wrist near the case, which is very irritating. Also the key cover developed a "wave" in it, so while most of the keys fit snugly, a couple don't, which is distracting. The cover does make typing a little more difficult, but I think this may be the case with all covers.----So pretty! Easy to install and protecting my computer well.2Crystal Clear option isn't "rubberized"I was under the impression this case was "rubberized" but apparently if you order the Crystal Clear one its just a hardshell case...which is what i specifically DIDN'T want. There was another seller that was selling this exact product with a screen protector for the same price but it specifically said "Hardshell Case" so I opted for this one because when you click through the colored options, they all say "rubberized" except for the Crystal Clear option which I unfortunately didn't realize until AFTER I received the product. Other than that little misunderstanding, the case fits my Macbook Air perfectly and looks really sleek. The case is super shiny, which I don't care too much for, and doesn't seem like it would protect my laptop if I were to accidentally drop it. There isn't any kind of rubber liner on the inside of the case so I don't see how it could absorb any kind of shock if it were to hit the hard ground unexpectedly, but it will definitely protect from dirt and scratches, so that's a plus. I guess. The keyboard protector fits perfectly, however, I was under the impression it attached somehow. The rubber just kind of lays on top of the keyboard to protect it from dust or crumbs I'm assuming. There's nothing stopping it from just falling off if you were to pick your laptop up and hold it at an angle or something. And the "clear" keyboard cover isn't really CLEAR its kind of opaque and doesn't look very sleek. I will probably order another case from this company in the future but next time I'll be sure I'm ordering the rubberized version.*EDIT* I've had this case for about a month now and the bottom left "tab" or "clasp" that holds the case onto the bottom of the laptop has already cracked. I haven't dropped it or anything like that and I was also very careful when putting it on (I haven't taken it off since I bought it) so I'm a little confused how this happened. If there's a way I can send this one back and receive a new one that would be great. I do like the case even though its not rubbery, I just don't like that it has already cracked for no reason.3
