    Does the job I bought this cable to work with the AOC E1649FWU 16" USB-Powered Portable LED Monitor - Glossy Black I purchased. Using the cable was as easy as plugging in any other USB cable.There is a disclaimer on the packaging that I'd like to reiterate. If whatever you have plugged into this cable needs power as well as data from a USB cable, this will not work. I can attest to this. Luckily the monitor I bought has a split USB cable (one for power, one for data). I tried to test this active extension cable by itself and it resulted in nothing on the screen. The power that USB cables receive is used to boost the data to make up for the long length.Another disclaimer would be to take a good look at the picture. The female end is much larger than a standard female USB extension. So if it's going in a tight spot, keep account of this.I bought this cable in fear of using a long cable and my PC not being able to transmit the data without some sort of help. Thankfully this active extension cable works and I have a secondary monitor that is 15+ feet away. I recommend this cable. 5It works when connected to a laser printer This is working fine to provide me with around 31ft of USB length. I connect my Brother MFC laser printer to my computer after the printer's ethernet card got zapped by lightning. I might have been better off buying the longer cord one since I did not properly anticipate the extra length needed when running the cable along the walls behind cabinets versus the straight-line laser measurement. I bought a 15 foot StarTech USB cable as the fix to needing more cable length. 4Not perfect, but it works. unpleasant texture and shine; a bit stiff and unwieldy; takes forever to relax its shape; not my first choice for a portable, frequently moved cable. This works great. Seemed to me some people had challenges with using devices that pull power. A powered hub fixes that problem. I'm using Debian Linux that recognizes when I plug devices into the cable and hub. For first install, plugging in from computer to hub worked best. 4Works quite well, even in pro audio situations I was really concerned about getting a USB extension cord, but needed something in my recording studio for USB controllers going to my computer running ProTools, Logic, etc. I was concerned about lag, delay, etc., or poor connectivity.I am happy to report that there is none of that experienced when using this cable. I have an electric drum kit and those triggers must be without delay if I'm going to be able to record anything using that kit. No problem.
