Very good but consider Just got this. Works really well, the lighting focus and clarity are excellent. I like the heavy base, but a better design would address the following: (1.) the small, built in "touch" switch is not as easy to locate as a knob or rocker switch, so when you're tired and want to turn it off that's a problem. Also the switch is sensitive, so you tend to "cycle through" the three settings. A knob switch with an adjustable range rather than three fixed settings would be better; (2) the LED lighting module can't be replaced. It's rated for 30,000 hours which is plenty, but why should we have to throw the lamp in the trash when the bulb stops working? Otherwise it does the job, as a night-reading light or a desk lamp. Good lighting. 3Great Little LampI did not expect to like this lamp as much as I did. I'd been using a halogen night light for years and didn't like it - so bright and very hot.This lamp is great because it has 3 light levels so you tap the first one and it is perfect for the middle of the night and not feeling you are being interrogated by police. It is very well balanced and small but sturdy (doesn't feel like a hollow plastic thing about to tip over)The only thing I have to get used to is having to tap 3 times to turn it off (but maybe I'm missing a trick lol) but it is worth it for the plusses. The only thing I don't like is the neck isn't smooth but gets little bends in it, the down side of its flexibility.Overall I like it so much I'm buying another for my desk. Form meets function at a great price.4Not your average Gooseneck (adjustable) lamp. Truly great lamp. The 3 brightness settings are very useful. When I am repairing something intricate and want intense bright light, this is the lamp. The best adjustable I have ever owned. The lamp stays where you bend it; no sag or spring back. The base is heavy enough to keep it from tipping over in any position.Only bad thing... I have to buy another, my wife stole the first one. 5Just What I Wanted... Great little lamp. I wanted a light source for a beautiful amethyst piece that I have displayed in my living room. I looked for a light that I could conceal and fit into a small space. The LED quality is nice - with a warm color light. And the touch control at the base is super when I want to show people the details of my lovely sparkly rock. The base of the lamp is heavy, and doesn't tip. The goose-neck adjusts to any position I want. This light is bright and focused, with a pleasing neutral color, not too blue and not too yellow. Bonus points for the USB port so you can charge your devices without hunting for an outlet. This lamp is just thing to bring a pop of red to your room without being overwhelming. Love it and may purchase more!5Lots of light!Perfect desk light! This doesn't take up a lot of room, but sure does throw a lot of light. The lower settings are nice for reading. This is so much better than the low light battery operated lights I've had in the past. The only negative is that it has an operating life of only a few years. I hate to throw things away, but since there is no way to replace the bulb in this, I will have to. Not very nice to make us do that. Even so, I think it's a pretty good value for the time you get, and I'll get another when this burns out.5nice design...but a little too large which is my fault for not measuring and envisioning how it would appear where I wanted it on my smallish bedside nightstand. If the base were 3/4 the size and the lamp head a bit slimmer/smaller it would use it there.I ended up placing the white lamp on my white kitchen countertop on the far side of the room from the sink, next to a toaster and microwave.The only lighting over there is on the ceiling and I don't like to illuminate the entire kitchen early in the morning so this lamp is perfect for when I need to monitor the toast. The lamp head can extend up under the cabinet or I can bend it behind the microwave for indirect lighting. Low setting is best for early in the morning. I may have to mark the on/dimmer/off with a sharpie to help find it and I wish I could swipe up to turn it off from the initial dimmest setting instead of having to run through medium and brightest setting to turn it off.4Great lamp, would make a great gift.This is by far my favorite desk/ task lamp! It looks great, the soft-touch button about half-way up the base is easy to find with the slight indentation, yet doesn't at all detract from the sleek design. The base is well weighted with no fear of being tippy when the neck is straight out. The whole thing is just so sleek and smooth from tip to toe, and even the flex part feels like a thick high-tech rubber that shows no marks of the flex metal below, and looks like it will stay that way a long time.The thin black cord coming out of the electronic "brick" power supply plugs into the lower base opposite side of button is only one small thing I wish were different, like if it were a bit shorter, or recessed, or plugging into the bottom, something like that, and if it weren't the shiny stiff thermoplastic variety which lays kinky, but rather the higher quality type that comes with some devices that lies flatter and straighter. But this minor detail still won't keep me from giving five stars.With button taps, the light goes from about 1/3, 2/3, full power. Mine sits on a shelf at about eye-level and an arms-length away next to my comfy chair and spills a very even pool of light onto my lap with not hot-spot whatsoever, and no light shining in my eye. I like watching TV in a dark room, yet this puts the light down only. Low feels like a 15 watt bulb and is perfect for typing and general, and high is bout a 60 watt bulb great for reading.Also works great on the bench while working on electronics where I can get the small head right down in there, without being too harsh, hot, or blocking my view.I'd be proud to give this as a gift, as I think anyone would find a good use for it in any room in the house. And the high quality, sleek design would fit any decor.5Love This LampI love this lamp and it is exactly what I wanted. I was staying with a friend who had a similar one but it was the cool, bluer light. This one is the warm light and more yellow than blue. We compared them side by side. My friend preferred the brighter blue light but I wasn't looking for the brightest light. I preferred this one for the warmer light. It plenty bright for my living room needs. My friend uses her for bedside reading and, therefore, wanted the brightest. Hope this helps with your decision. Beautiful modern design, well made and the "neck" really can be twisted into all kinds of configurations without hurting it. Beautiful, subtle and nice light. The three settings are distinctly different from one another and these, as well as the on/off are slick and easy with a brush of the hand over the slight indent on the front side of the lamp. The base is under 4.5 inches - that's all the room it takes up. The cord is removable from the lamp base, the plug itself a small "box." There's an added bonus: a USB charge port in the base.5For my purposes I love this lampFor my purposes I love this lamp. The light is very bright, but be warned it's more of a spotlight. I use it to light up my little corner of the couch when I'm coloring or reading. It lights up a book beautifully, but it doesn't light up a very huge area. Oh, and it does plug in, I'm sure that's in the description, but I myself was always confused as none of the pictures show a cord. The cord is very tiny, kind of the size of a headphone cord, and plugs into the back side of the lamp.5Love this lightReceived a similar lamp from my brother for crafting. The red color pops, the goose neck works great and is long enough but skinny enough that I can bring forward between a few monitors, to light up my desktop space. The bottom is weighty (lamp is heavy enough) and it easily resides on a little platform I have it on (i.e. cable cover box.) Fantastic that the bulb is going to last so many years. Really love the quality of this item, and at a great price, too. Because of the high quality of this item, I'm going to keep an eye on the manufacturer/seller to see what they create/offer next.5
