Customer Reviews

Would give ZERO stars if i could...I bought 2 of these for my kids to use during wrestling tournaments. Only one worked at all. The other just turned on, but showed lines across the screen and wouldn't play. The other would only play if the chip was held in with electrical tape and pressed hard! RIDICULUS!!! Even with that, it only lasted about 2 hours then was completely dead....1Dont buy this Don't waist your money this thing wont charge , the light comes on then starts flashing and then stops charging I believe the battery is defective very disappointed 1Aweful product! Do not buy!Won't charge, doesn't show up as a device on my laptop so I can not download any music to it, didn't come with what I needed to make it work (a sd card) which they said in response to another customers question that they do provide, and it did not even come with an instruction manual! I bought 2 useless MP3 players from this person! Will never buy anything from them again and will tell everyone else not to!1A bit underwhelmingThis product is a bit disappointing but only because my expectations may have been a little high. It does exactly what it says it does: it plays only MP3 format. Unlike more expensive players, it does not support MP4, WMA etc. The earbuds are a bit "cheesy" but they work OK and fit within the product price range. The SD card adapter is a good feature. The description says that it supports SD micro card 1 - 8 gigs. However, I can't find any micro card smaller than 16 gigs but they work anyway. The instructions leave a lot to be desired. Specifically: charging. It charges fine but only if the player is switched to the "on" position. I could not find that tidbit in the instructions. Maybe I read it too fast but I did have a lot of confusion over this issue. Also, instead of an instruction sheet, the instructions are printed on the inside of the package and are hard to read without perfect 20-20 vision and lots of light. This product is worth the "reduced" price but I would not pay more for it unless an SD card was included and it had better instructions.3Don't buy it! Junk!Don't buy it... never worked right... battery died immediately after charging. I think it never shut off because you could charge it and it would die after 10 minutes. But... then I purchased a cheap android phone for around $20, loaded all the songs on it and use it as an mp3 player. It has no service (cheap pre-paid phone) but I can stream pandora when at home with wifi and then use it offline with the pre-loaded songs when away. I had to download a player from the google play store (free) to play. So now I have an mp3 player with a large battery for around $20. You may ask why I didn't just load it on my smart phone. The player is for my handicapped grandson to listen to and I didn't want to tie up my phone. Plus if he wrecks it, I'm not out much.1Cheap materials. Broken. Does not work. This is the cheapest, lowest quality product I had seen for a while. It feels like some sort of a knock off for something else. Cheap materials. The player broke the first time that I tried to charge it and it never worked. I added memory to it and it simply did not work. A waste of money and time.1Overall a good mp3 player, I guessThe mp3 player is just a little messed up because the headphone jack inside has to be wiggled and stuff to get good quality sound otherwise it'll sound like an almost broken mp3 player. I liked the SD card adapter and the charger works but the headphones kinda suck.Edit:The MP3 player is cute and all, but the headphones weren't good and the over all quality of everything was low. But if you are looking for something this cheap, it gets the job done.Just don't expect a long battery life from it, I had about an hour and thirty minutes with it until it died. The red lights didn't turn off and they were annoying.3Great player for the money, just don't expect too muchIf you're looking for an exact replacement for a ipod shuffle you're going to be disappointed. The advantage it does have is that it's only $7. And if you're expecting more than $7 worth of music playing out of this you're fooling yourself. I will say that it does have its uses and if you work around a few of the problems with it it is a great little player. For starters I didn't use the card reader. I tried and it didn't work for me right off, so I just used the one I already had. If I messed with it more I could have probably gotten it to work. I didn't use the earplugs either since they felt cheap and I already had some that I liked. That being said, the usb charger cable worked fine using an iphone wall charger that I already had (it doesn't come with its own wall charger, just the usb to mini-usb cable). It is definitely awkward to charge. I managed to get it to charge by leaving the switch in the on position. Plugging it into the wall charger with the cable and then flipping the switch to the off position. The orange light flashes while it charges and the next morning the orange light was solid indicating it was fully charged. The charge lasts for about 4 hours I think is the most I've ever gotten out of it, and I noticed it takes just about that long to fully charge it.It does not have a shuffle feature. From what I noticed it just plays the songs in the order in which they were added to the card. Also note, you have to buy your own micro SD card to use with it, it does not have its own memory or come with its own card. I formatted a card to FAT32 and uploaded just fine. After I realized the order it plays the song I changed my approach.Round 2 I downloaded a program called "Random Copy" that you can download for free. I played around with it for a while and basically found out how to get it to upload songs from my computer to the mp3 player in a random order. This basically gave it the effect of playing in shuffle mode. With 8GB of music playing random songs in a fixed order, it was hard to tell it wasn't in shuffle mode. Some annoying things with it are that it won't remember the volume setting (always starts roughly medium volume). There is some static at lower volumes and with the headphones I have (in ear) I had to play it at the lowest settings. So the static was annoying. It saves what song you were on last, but not where in the song you were. So, I wouldn't recommend this for audio books. For me, this works great for what I needed it for. I have it hooked up to an FM transmitter to play on my work van stereo. It's always plugged into power so the battery life doesn't matter to me, nor how long it takes to charge. I drive a lot, so 8 GB of music was all that I needed. I've probably driven several hours with it playing and can't really tell that it's not shuffling with how I have it set up.Like I said in the beginning. If you want all the bells and whistles of a ipod shuffle, you'll want to pay more money and get one. Otherwise, if you're willing to work a little extra to get this to do what you want, $7 is well worth it.5The third would not hold a charge on the battery like the battery wasn't even presentI purchased 4 of these before getting 2 that work okay. The first worked as advertised. The second was assembled incorrectly and ate my micro SD card. The third would not hold a charge on the battery like the battery wasn't even present. The charge indicating LED on the 4th doesn't work but everything else does so I'll be keeping it.This player does not play random selections it plays according to the alphabetical sorting of the song titles.3Okay, but not for everybody, and battery issuesThis product might be hard to understand; it is not plug and play as sold. You must buy also a micro SD memory card, copy MP3 files onto it, then insert the memory card into the unit.Like an iPod Shuffle, all I wanted was a tiny player to play random recordings. It worked fine for this - for a short while. The rechargeable **battery**, however, seems to be shot. I leave it plugged in for ages, but when I take it off charging, it only plays for a minute or two before dying. I haven't investigated replacing that yet.2Pretty good, pleasantly surprisedI ordered 10 of these to use as party favors. All of them arrived on time, but three arrived with their cases crushed. After charging all 10 of them, I popped in a Sdhc card and tested them for functionality. All of them worked but just about every one of them had to have the headphone jack wiggled to get the sound was right. I have no idea how they will work in the long term and cannot speak to how the battery holds a charge but I can say that all the kids were very excited to receive these in the goody bags.4
