great product, definitely recommendGreat product! Bought it to hold a photography reflector.. works well! Has an adjustable base to ensure stability!4Solid and easy to use.Solid nightstand. Works perfectly for my needs.5Studio photography StandI have recently been shooting still life photography and purchased a defuser. I ordered the stand to hold my backgrounds and also to diffuse the light. The Nwwwer light stand works like a charm. The clamp holds the defuser and also fabric for backgrounds. It's a strong clamp but easy to pinch open. It was easy to put together. The wing screw allows easy adjustments in height changes. I did buy extra clamps for more variety but the main clamp is strong and swivels for adjustments.5Strong enoughThe clamp feels very sturdy because the central frame is metal. But be careful with the adjustment knobs as they are merely plastic.This took me a while to figure out, so I will document it here: to adjust the angle of the upper half, loosen the knob just enough to allow you to push and hold it in. Then the pieces will pivot easily. Don't try to force pivot it without pushing that knob in, because it'll move jankily and little fragments of black plastic will break off the inner toothed gear (not a good thing!).4Terrible Smell!Definitely Chinese junk. The rubber teeth/grippers smell so bad, that they would never get passed the Quality Control department in a US factory. Everything else is just fine, except the rubber teeth have a massively terrible odor. I mean, if it smells so bad, why even put it in the package with the rest of the product? No quality control in china.I'm not going to return it, just will throw away the rubber grippers. But I encourage you to find another similar item and buy it instead.1Necessary gear for the filmmaker!Get these for the 40x60 reflectors I recommend EVERYONE who shoots photo and video have!These have been an absolute life saver on projects!My partner has told me on multiple occasions not to worry about bringing my gear but I always bring modifiers and clamps and these have been SOOOOO useful for shoots we ve gone on. They take up minimal space. They aren t tiny enough to not notice they take space in your grip gear bag BUT they are small enough to take everywhere you will be on a shoot with possible conditions where you need to mount something.This doesn t replace regular clamps but they have done the job of holding 40x60 s more times than I can remember and have come in handy a lot.5Flag holder, umbrella mount and elbow adapter all in one!I bought the Neewer Photo Studio Heavy Duty Metal Clamp Holder to hold flags and reflectors and, indeed, it works great at those tasks. It s basically a modified umbrella adapter: adjustable tilt and 5/8 receivers on both ends. The tripod adapter (brass spigot) and clamp are easily removable (loosen t-screws) and you can repurpose it as a umbrella mount, flash mount (add cold shoe) or elbow adapter.I immediately removed the tripod adapter and locked it on an extension arm. The clamp grips flags like glue and is so strong my assistant complained it hurt her hand to open it! Save for the rubber pad on the clamp and the t-screw handles, construction is metal and appears sturdy. It looks similar to my Cowboy Studio Umbrella Bracket (sans clamp). The adjustable tilt locked tight and didn't drift. The umbrella mount hole has a metal thumbscrew to secure the shaft.The only negative thing I can say about this product is the rubber on the clamp smells toxic. However, having owned other products with the same clamp, I know the funky smell disappears after a few months. Great product for small bucks: sturdy and multipurpose use. My only regret is I didn t buy the two-pack.5A Must Have Piece!Another great buy from Neewer!Since photography is basically troubleshooting and problem solving, I wanted to find an alternative telescope reflector holder that wasn't expensive. I achieved that by purchasing this piece and a neewer light stand.Product review:Quality- heavy duty is an understatement! This piece is solid! Of course I dropped it as soon as I took it out of the box and it remained in tact. It's heavy, but the weight of the piece won't slow you down. It has to have some weight to it in order to effectively hold a reflector. There was a strong rubber smell to it right away. I left it in the garage over night and the next day the smell was gone.Functionality:This piece screwed right onto the top of the Neewer light stand that I bought as a separate purchase. It also fits onto another brand light stand that I have. The dials that turn to adjust the angle of the clamp are easy to turn. No matter what angle you lock the piece in place, it stays tight. To give you an idea as to how versatile this piece is, I clipped a white foam board I bought from the dollar store to it. I adjusted he clip in many different angles. In addition, I also clipped a standard 5 in one reflector to it.I try to wait a few months to review products, because I want to use them a few times to leave an honest review.I would highly recommend this piece to any photographer! It's totally worth it!5Easy to setup.It holds foam core and reflectors. Don't abuse it and it'll do its job.5Nice product for holding up collapsing backdropsI have a number of fold up photographic backdrops and purchased a StudioPro background stand to hold them up (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00PLEX7Q4/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_2). It turns out that the clip that comes with that stand has a few problems - the spring loaded gripper doesn't open enough to easily grab any of my backgrounds. It also has a very short arm, so the backdrop is a little close to the stand.This Neewer product addresses both of the problems superbly. The gripper easily grabs the largest edge of any of my backdrops with room to spare. It is easy to use and holds very securely. The clip section is fully articulated, so you can set the clamp at any angle and lock it in place - this will probably work for holding a reflector, although you will need a heavy/strong stand to stay upright if the reflector is not pretty much straight up and down. The arm is 3" long or so when the clip is facing downward - that's far enough that the backdrop won't hit the legs of the stand. There are rubber jaws on the clip, so you won't scratch or cut anything.Great product, just right for holding up the backdrops.5
