Customer Reviews

better than I thought it would beignore all the bad reviews on this wall mount because they are full of crap!!!! this wall mount is very easy to hang and works great I have a 60 inch lg tv that weighs quite a bit and it's been holding up great and for the price you definitely can't beat it!!!!!!!5Great mount for 88 lb Plazma TVGreat mount! Not too hard to install but mount is heavy so definitely will need two able bodies. For me the lag bolts worked fine unlike other reviewers. Instead of the 5/32 drill bit I used 7/32 and bolts went in fine and locked down tight. Instructions say to use mount as template, recommend once you find your studs , drill one side and drive lag bolt in until almost tight, use your own level, as one included doesn t work, and on bottom of bracket place a long screw in the middle hole to help you keep mount steady to level and drill hole for the other side of mount. I mounted a 58 Panasonic Plazma Tv weighs 88lbs and no issues been up for about a month.5Perfect for my 32" tv! I needed this to pivot around for viewing a tv so that it is perpendicular to the wall on which the mount is placed. It is perfect. I now can have the tv on while cooking, if I choose to! It is very sturdy; there is no "sagging". We have a 32" tv mounted on it. The first mount that I purchased said that it was for 32" tvs (and larger), but it was not for tvs with 32" diagonal screens. It was for tvs that were actually 32" wide and larger. My tv is only about 29" wide and the piece to which you actually mount the tv was larger than my tv, so it showed on either side. It was also wider than the wall on which I was mounting it. This mount works for a tv with a 32" diagonal screen. 5F-ING AWESOME. nuff said. This thing is f-ing awesome. This the first articulating tv mount I have owned. I did massive amounts of research on just about all of them. Product vs price, this is untouchable. I went massive amounts of stores Hi end and Low end to compare. And I tugged on the "their" name brand articulating mount it a screw fell out of the damn thing. Then I went to go see how heavy it was by lifting the box and was no heavier than like 5lbs. How am I supposed to put my faith in an extremely light mount to hold my $2,000 tv. And the price on that was $350 + tax. Oh yea, that one had a bent arm. I did find one as good quality as this. But they wanted $449 + tax at the high end store. I love this thing. I can turn my 55" a complete 90 to either side. This thing is heavy. That's what's nice about it. You will need a second person to help you. I'm a very handy guy and i had my brother help me. I could have done it myself but I would have been scared sh!tless at first. I'm plan on buying 2 more for my man cave and garage. 5The best mount type for big / heavy tv'sI bought 3 different 55" tv mounts, assuming we our 3 big tvs would vary in hanging needs. We first tried using the ML531-BE. Our living room tv area is in an alcove above the fireplace. If that's what you have, THIS IS THE ONLY KIND OF MOUNT YOU WANT!!!!! The Ml531-BE only hangs on 1 stud and can't adjust vertically. We have an outlet on the center stud which limits where the mount hangs if it only has the center stud mount. We tried 2 tvs & lowering the ML531BE mount and raising it. Nothing worked and by the time we were done, that stud has to be like Swiss cheese! So we got out the MI-326B and tried it. Boom! We used the 2 studs that don't have the outlet on them and put it right where we wanted, first try. And since it adjust up & down as well, we put it right where it looks best. A couple days later I turned the tv to face the kitchen while I cooked. That is awesome! Our handyman is a licensed general contractor. My brother has worked every kind of construction and for the last 20 years been a cabinet maker. They both agreed that the MI-326B is the absolute best type of mount. The one that puts all of the weight on 1 stud puts a lot of faith in that 1 stud. If it fails, the tv will crash down. Besides the cost, they feel that's pretty dangerous to adults passing by & children playing below. And for the alcove issue, a mount that doesn't adjust in depth would have been a nightmare / knuckle-buster. When the 1 tv was hung, we all agreed that the MI-326B is by far the strongest & most flexible for positioning the tv. I ordered 2 more MI-326B. We haven't decided if we'll use the ML531-BE. We probably will but only on a 40" or smaller tv.5Swing-away! I installed this TV mount after we moved into our new house almost a year ago. I wanted to be able to angle the TV 2 different directions yet push it back to the wall when not in use. This mount was the perfect solution. It was easy to install. The mounting plate made it easy to hit the studs. Hanging the TV (60" Vizio) was quick and easy. Simple to get the TV in place and secure it. We frequently angle the TV (towards the couches in the family room or towards the screened in porch). The swing arm works smoothly. Nothing has sagged since it was installed. I am really pleased with this mount. And I think I have probably sold a bunch of these as everyone who looks at it loves it. 5great mount don't trust the level installed in the base This is the first time I have used this mount, I found it to be of excellent quality with one exception. The bubble level that is installed in it's base is not level. After reading several other reviews I used a 2 foot level to install the base and the two foot level indeed showed that the bubble level in the base was not even close to being level. Other reviewers noted that once the TV mounted on the mounting face plate the TV was not level. This is easily corrected also. In the mount instructions it shows how to level the face plate the TV attaches to. I used my 2 foot level on the tv mounting plate and leveled it, I then moved the articulating arm to all different positions, the mounting plate held true to level in any position. So level the base with a 2 foot level when attaching it to the wall, then level the plate the TV attaches to with the two foot level and tighten the 4 bolts. Then mount the TV on the attachment plate and you are good to go.All in all this is a great mount, especially for the price. It took me just over 30 minutes to mount a Panasonic 50" Plasma to this system.Highly recommended. 4Strong Mount with good reachWe bought this mount to install a 65" TV in the corner of a classroom. The instructor wanted to be able to nest the TV against a flat wall, but articulate the TV into the corner sometimes while displaying content. The mount was sturdy, even while fully extended (the TV we were mounting weighted just under 60 pounds).Mounting the TV was simple; there are plenty of holes in the back plate to catch a stud; in our case, we managed to attach 4 toggle bolts to 2 different studs, so no worries about the TV coming down.In our case, the TV was able to slide several inches either direction, which allowed us to place the back plate where we wanted, but also 'center' the TV in the space between the corner and the edge of the whiteboard that was in the classroom.Leveling the TV while it was articulated took some time and some tools, and it's helpful to have two people to install this piece. The attached wire management pieces weren't helpful for our application. While attempting to nest the TV, the power and HDMI cables would end up in the way, and keep it from nesting as fully as possible.4Great mount, but there are two different versions. This is a great mount. It's extremely sturdy and fairly easy to install, albeit heavy. I now have three of them: one for a 46" Samsung, a 55" Vizio and a 60" Vizio. I'm extremely happy with the quality of all three. I was able to mount them all by myself, but I do recommend a second person for hanging the TV on the mount; and it would have been a lot easier to install the mount with a second person.Installation is simple enough. 1) Mount the two brackets on the back of the TV 2) Measure where the top or bottom of the TV will be in relation to the mount 3) Mark stud locations and where the holes will be 4) drill holes 5) screw in the lag screws (use a ratcheting driver) 6) Hang TV on mount 7) level and center TV 8) tighten hold down screwsThe only reason this didn't get a five-star rating is because the first two versions of this that I received had a mount plate that was only 19" wide, meaning I had to have studs 16" on center. Not a big deal since I did have that, but to get one of my TVs centered, I had to hang it almost all the way to one side. Not ideal. The third one I ordered has a mount plate that is 25" wide, which is great! 6 more inches made it easier to center the TV. Also, the third version has philips screws for the hold-down screws instead of the crummy hex screws that came with the first two I ordered. Other than the mounting plate and hold-down screws, the mount is the same.I wish they had sent me the third one I ordered for all of my orders, but it's still a great mount.41 for 2 So i purchased my 1st one a couple weeks ago, and its a great product!! So i figured i would go ahead and get my girlfriend one as well and i just opened the package and i was expecting a brand new product instead the 2 mounts are scratched up as if somebody had already used them and to top it off it was missing screws.I'm very dissapointed. I was going to purchase a couple more of these as christmas gifts for the family but due to what i just recieved i have totaly lost trust in this seller..Well I'm on a time restraint and wanna have this setup before she gets home.Luckily for them i have screws left from my 1st purchase or this would be on a one way trip back to the seller, Either way i have to get paint to touch up what looks to be a used or refurbished product, My personal view is if you make a purchase from this seller its a gamble! 2It has held up pretty good. I purchase this mount so I could ...I have had this mount now for over a year. It has held up pretty good. I purchase this mount so I could swing the tv out and pivot it to watch from our dinning room as well. I also wanted to be able to pull the tv away from the wall easily to get to the connections. This mount has worked well for both. When I fist got it, I was moving it a lot and the needed to re-tighten in some areas as the tv would dip on one side. Holds tv close to the wall and is easy to move in and out. We are getting ready to redo our game room and I will be purchasing another one of these to mount the tv as well. Some reviewers are right about the hardware. Get better and longer lag bolts for that sense of security.4Great product and price This mount is well made, sturdy, and really does provide full motion. I have the TV mounted in a room where the bed faces the window with a view. Being able to pivot the TV 90 degrees - perpendicular to the wall - in order to watch in bed while also being able to pivot it 90 degrees in the opposite direction to watch from the couch is hugely useful. Price was right as well.Mounting it was a bit of a challenge given the weight of the mount and the length of the ratchet screws. One of the screws snapped in the process, but fortunately there were extras. 5I would have given this product 4 stars if it had more mobility and better instructions. The extension is hard to pull out ...Overall, it works. The product instructions are simple, but sparse; and so I think that is why some have had issues with the product. Product is very strong, but also very heavy. I expected this based on the reviews. My application is above a gas fireplace, in between two walls (a built-in space that could hold an older tube TV). This mounting arm allowed me to remove the base from the 55-inch Samsung LED TV and make room for the surround sound receiver and other components in the space. It does that job well. The TV is also able to be tilted down toward the viewers, which is an improvement from the base mount. I would have given this product 4 stars if it had more mobility and better instructions. The extension is hard to pull out and push in but the pivoting of the TV works well.Supplement to instructions (2 person job): Note: Like other owners of Samsungs, I had to go the store and buy 8mm x 30mm screws to work with my TV. I had to use the spacers provided. The back of my TV looks "flat", but if I would not have used the spacers the brackets would have stressed the TV. Use the spacers - don't risk damaging your TV even if it looks "flat" on the back. Also, I carefully measured to have enough clearance for my receiver (I needed 6.5 inches under the TV), but when it mounted and extended it was an inch too low. If you are doing something similar, give yourself an added inch or so of clearance to allow some sag when fully extended. For those that broke lag bolts, I did not have this issue. But, the instructions said to use a drill bit that is too small in diameter. Use one that is a couple sized larger than the instructions say to use. Hold the drill bit next to to the lag bolt and the bit should be about the size of the bolt minus the threads or just slightly smaller. This will give you the proper size pilot hole and reduce the driving force. Final tip: Noticed some viewers were complaining that even after leveling (yes - don't trust the built in level - I had to use my own), that the TV was tilted. Again, the instructions are not super clear - but they do mention that you can adjust this by pivoting the front bracket plate (no need to loosen nuts). I was able to do this (don't try this by rotating directly on the TV -- apply the force to the brackets that attach to the back of your TV as it takes a bit of force to get it to turn. It is trial and error until you get it right).3Built like a tank!!I am using a 42" TCL 4K TV for my computer monitor. I wanted something to mount it that would allow me to put the TV/Monitor against the wall for space saving or being able to swing it out for better viewing. As others have said DO NOT USE the supplied level, it is way off!! They have a level app for smart phones and it works well. Don't be too concerned about getting the wall bracket 100% level. There are 4 bolts that hold the plate to the arm (where the TV brackets attach to that plate). It allows some small amount of adjustability after the mount is installed. Overall this does everything I wanted it to do. I will update if any issues show up later!4Beware arms only fully extend to 22" and separate screws required for samsung tvs that have a divot for the screw holes in back.I mounted my samsung 60" tv without too much of a hassle, however it is definitely a two person job. The mount itself isn't light so once you do have the center studs marked you will need someone to hold the mount up against the wall and level so you can mark the spots to drill. Once it's up it's pretty straight forward hanging the tv onto the mount. The main issue i have with the mount is that it only extends 22" instead of the advertised 26". This is a problem for me as i was expecting to be able to turn my tv a full 90 degrees and avoid hitting the wall. However because it only goes out 22" my tv isn't directly facing me. See photo :(*Samsung tv owners take note!* If the back of your tv is flat and has these little dips / divots where the screws go into the screws that come with your mount will not work! They would either be too short or too long (that is also with using the spacers provided). I ended up going to home depot and getting the proper length screws for my tv. The mount comes with screws in 4 different sizes make sure you find the correct size first before going to your local hardware shop. The screws are listed in metric hence M#. For my 60" i found that the M8 screw size was the one that fit, so i just went and bought M8-1.25 x 25mm screws and they worked perfectly. See photo - i bought it from home depot.4AVOID. I ordered this TV Mount from Value Max on 11/21. It was supposed to arrive on 11/25 since I opted for fast delivery. By 11/28 I did not receive the package neither was I ever contacted by the seller that the package would come late (terrible customer service from the seller's part). I had to go out of my way to track the package through the carrier and I was told they had no updated information on my package, beautiful I thought. Nonetheless, the package was delivered on 12/2 (11 days later) despite me opting for fast delivery. Strike 1. When the package came the box was completely beat up. It looked like one of those boxes you use over the years to store something in your attic. It did not even hold the shape or form of a package and the only reason the contents inside stayed inside the "package" was because it was literally taped all around. Strike 2. After a few minutes of trying to dissect the "package" from all the tape that was used around the "package" I was able to open it. When I opened it up , it was clear that the TV mount was used!!! It had wear & tear everywhere! There was paint chips everywhere and there was numerous areas where the paint from the black TV mount had chipped off and exposed the metal. There was scratches on all the pieces of the TV mount that I assume were mad from the previous owner(s). Lastly, the manual to assemble the TV mount was torn and crumbled. Strike 3. Disgusting. When I buy something that is new and with a high price tag, I do expect it to be completely new, or am I wrong here?As for the TV mount, I bought it for my SONY XBR55X900E.Pros:1. It was able to turn my TV a complete 90 degrees which is the reason I bought it for due to the limitations of my room.Cons:1. Everything I said above2. The manual for the assembly had many typos and incorrect grammar. Unprofessional to say the least and makes it difficult to process exactly what you are supposed to do to assemble and mount the TV mount onto the wall.3. The manual was extremely vague, and there was no video you can search online for this specific TV mount that can guide you on how to assemble it(something many other TV wall mount manufactures offer). The only reason I was able to assemble and mount it was because my brother is an expert handyman and we still had to blindly guess our way to assembling it.4. When it was set up, despite the weight and sturdiness of the TV mount, my SONY XBR55X900E did slouch/slant/buckle about an inch downwards. This was only the case when I extended the TV out from the wall. All in all, avoid. Terrible.I will leave this review here until I am offered some type of compensation or solution to everything that has happened to me during this experience with this product. Thank you. 1But I don't want my expensive TV to look like it is saggingFirstly I have several TV mounts thru our my house, this one I used for our big 70" in our living room. and it is STRONG, for all the peeps who said it was heavy, IT IS! But I don't want my expensive TV to look like it is sagging. we keep the mount pulled all the way out when watching tv and pushed back into the built in when not in use. its has a pretty smooth operation and never feels loose or wobbly. If your mounting in sheetrock I would recommend using these: TOGGLER SNAPTOGGLE BB Toggle Anchor, Zinc-Plated Steel Channel, Made in US, 3/8" to 3-5/8" Grip Range, For 1/4"-20 UNC Fastener Size (Pack of 100)the anchors that it comes with is for a solid wall. and my 16" center studs were to far off center to give me a center mounting option. the TV fits in the built in with an inch to spare on each side.5
