I only needed one and the acrylic housing was just a bonus.Well, it arrived with only:2 acrylic piecesa set of screws, bolts and nuts.1 x heat sinkThat's what most people would want, and the quality of the product at first glance seemed good, but that's not why I purchased this listing.I don't often review, and I usually don't give emotion driven one star reviews, but I'm really irritated. I wanted to use this product immediately, and it failed me.1It doesn't workOut of the box, and installed exactly as the picture shows, and connected to the correct contact points, this thing didn't work. It wouldn't even send power to USB devices, let alone transfer any kind of data. I even tried it on three different Pi zeroes: nothing.1The USB Hub HAT turns the USB connections on the Pi Zero off! Only use the USB Hub connections!Everything was received quickly and in good working order. However, setup was hampered as there was no documentation. There was a business card enclosed that was blank on the reverse side. This would have been plenty of room to outline that the use of the USB hub hat renders the USB ports on the Raspberry Pi Zero W inoperable. After installing the hub hat, I started the Pi with my keyboard and mouse attached to the ports on the Pi itself, only to have them not work. Simply switching those connections to the USB hub fixed the issue but it took me some time to realize this.3Cheap, works well with a HATI purchased this specifically because I needed some kind of protector/enclosure for use with my Pi Zero W and a HAT. No other cases I could find fit this decidedly non-standard HAT (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07T31S7TB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) but that's ok; this one was exactly what I wanted. I also appreciate that this case is open-air to promote cooling. The standoff screws were just barely too short to fit above the RJ-45 port on the HAT but there was enough room on them to unscrew the nuts slightly and make the whole thing fit securely.5Nice little case compatible with the MakerSpot USB hub & Pi Zero-W!Makes a really nice little package with the Pi Zero plus the MakerSpot 4-Port Stackable USB Hub HAT. I'm using it with the latest Raspberry Pi Zero-W; no complaints!5Works good, but the spring loaded posts to tend to ...Works good, but the spring loaded posts to tend to slip a little over time. Installation is a breeze and is plug and play. the only thing I didn't like was the plastic standoffs.5Just what I neededPerfect fit and easy to assemble5Best Pi Zero accessory I've bought so farI'm very pleased with this hub; very well thought out! It powers the Pi directly, has an on/off switch on the cable, fits securely with screws, and it feels very sturdy so far.I combine it with a RedBear IoT Wi-Fi and BLE board for a nice tiny full-featured setup with plenty of free USB ports.5Easy Install, Works PerfectlyI purchased two of these to build small Octopi servers. One for a Pi Zero W and one for a Pi Zero 1.3. Both took just a few minutes to put together and they are both working great. I was able to connect my 3D printer, a wifi dongle, and a keyboard (for initial setup) with no problems. The only upgrade I'd like to see to the boards are either activity or power indication LEDs for each USB port. This is a fantastic product.Quick tip, and one that may or may not be needed - since I am running these next to a bunch of EMI noise (including wifi), I did install a ferrite bead around the power pins. Like I said, it may not be needed, but I didn't want to risk the USB connection dropping out during a long 3D print. If you have issues with your USB devices disconnecting randomly, give it a shot.5
