Basically RGB lights stuck on purple: not actual UV.These lights are pretty cheap but they don't work. I already have a pair of UV LED from a different brand which work great but I needed two more strips to even out the effect in my case, thus I bought these. After installation, at first I thought maybe the effect these provided was weaker than my other UV lights (as my other ones where 3x the price for 1 strip). That maybe the other lights where simply overtaking these and making their effect less noticeable, so I disabled the other UV lights. No UV reaction AT ALL I took these out of my case and inspected them to see if maybe it was a power issue or something, closer inspection reveals these are basically (roll led) rgb lights that are wired to permanently glow purple. That's purple not UV -- save your money don't buy these for UV.I re-wired the lights and they are in fact RGB so now I got some nice rbg underglow on my desk.**UPDATE** This seller has proceeded to essentially steal my pc pictures to promote their non-working product. The PC on the main listing picture is MY PC and they stole that picture off of PC Part Picker share I did. To be clear -- my PC is NOT using their strips. My PC is using a different brand UV lighting which actually works.1Problems with UV - Black Light Version Purchased set in UV - Black Light - color, originally worked great and the magnetic mount was a nice touch. Over the course of two days they slowly turned white, in what looked to be LED failures or the clear coating burning due to the UV. Others seem to be happy with the primary colors, but UV seems to be terrible. Will be going for other manufacturer. 1Purchased the blue version of these. Very blue and bright.They arrived in a very small box and were nicely rolled up and sticking to each other with the internal magnets.Very simple hook up if your just plugging them into your typical molex connector. But I had other plans with an extra power cord to my power supply I wasn't using. Sadly, they are not dimmable. I had hoped to run themat the 5 volt level to dim them down a little bit as they are very bright. But sadly they won't run at that voltage so I had to stick with the normal 12 volt supply.Other than that, the magnets are awesome and work very well. The cords are about a foot each and black so there is plenty of room to move them about. The color is awesome and blends well with my two red fans to give a purple hew to the inside of the case. At this point, I can only hope that they last. As per other reviews, the color ones seem to do pretty well, unlike the UV version. Hope this helps.5Looks good for a few daysI purchased 2 sets of these. The first set looked really good. Almost too good. Made most of my uv tubes glow with 2 but not all. 2-3 days later I began to notice the uv effects calming down and less powerful which led me to believe the kit is... IdkSo I purchased another set and installed it and it looks a little more blue and brighter... Much brighter. Not sure if the first kit looked like this then just dulled down do to power/heat. Guess I'll see in a couple of days. I probably need to buy a better black light kit somewhere that doesn't cost $10 and last a couple of days. I'd shop elsewhere.The first picture is one of the new ones and the other 2 are the ones I purchased a week ago. Still some color but a lot more dim and more darkish purple. It's hard to see in the pictures and I'm normally not this picky. Just looking for full coverage on my uv tubesUPDATE: I WAS BEING NICE BY GIVING THESE 2 STAR, THEY ALL GOT WORSE ALL 4 OF THEM. GARBAGEGO BUY THESE: Nanoxia CoolForce Ultra Bright Rigid LED Bar, UV1Pretty darn coolVery impressed with how much these make the juice glow. $14 for 2 of these gets basically your whole case glowing it s literally the cheapest thing in this chassis and I have to say one of the coolest. The first picture is normal light with rgbs on how I m going to be using it but the second is no rgbs and lights in the room off running only the black lights so you can see these indeed are UV and make the tubes glow quite a bit. We will see how long they last but at this price Wouldn t be much to replace. They plug directly into molecules the cables were long enough to mount one to the bottom and top of my case. Only problem is my chassis is aluminum so I had to substitute the magnet with some double sided mounting tape5I liked them so much I ordered more for my PC! These strips put off a good amount of purple UV light. I had 2 strips on my custom water cooled PC to brighten up the UV Green coolant and it worked great! I ordered 2 more so I could have more of my rig glowing. Really like the magnetic backing so all you need to do is place on the back metal part of your case and plug it in to a molex and viola! Bright UV Light! Buy these you wont be disappointed. 5Really cool lights! These LED light strips are nice and give the computer a nice color touch. I placed them under the computer to give the computer a underneath light glow and it looks nice. The magnets on the light strips makes them good to work with. You can try out different position until you get the position that looks best. 5Not really sure why these have so many bad reviews...I think the key is making sure you have a good enough power supply. I ordered two sets of blue for two desktop builds that I've had together for about two weeks. I have an EVGA 600 w bronze that the light strips are plugged directly into, and they're bright and powerful. I've had no issues with fading lights or the lights cutting on. They're magnetic, so you can move them around in the case where you like. For the price, I'm pretty happy with these. If I have any issues within the next few months of regular use, I will update the review.5Yes the UV Purple is actually UVReading some of the reviews, I thought I was going to get just purple LED's. But as soon as I plugged them in I knew they were actually UV light.I've had UV cold cathode tubes in my system for years and they were huge and ugly. These things are tiny and can hide anyway and they are magnetic!!!!I have 4 strips total in my system. (I forgot to plug one of them in these pics)The UV effect is amazing with all 4 plugged in, especially at night time.These pics were taken during the day with only 3 of the strips plugged in but trust me the tubes are extremely light up and reactive to the UV at night it looks so beautiful5Can't beat performance to priceHonestly there are a lot of complaints about them being crap. I've ordered 4 boxes as of late and every single one of them worked perfectly. Especially for the cash. Only other legit option I saw really was CableMod but their strips are over $50 and are shorter as well. These strips have magnets inside for perfect adhesion to the case. Mom of that horrid 3M double sided tape (which btw if your tape is ever horrible people go out and buy a small roll and do it yourself. It's that easy.) I didn't want an overwhelming amount of UV light in the case because I didn't want it to drown out everything else. Basically wanted it to effect the UV dye in the fluid not everything in the case so they are great. I would definitely recommend if that's your main ay and if you are on a tight budget. I gave it 4 stars total because I'm going to have to find a way to rig up the UV lights to something I can turn off separate from the system because once they are on they stay on until computer powers down. Just a daisy chain molex connection type of deal but that's totally fair for the price. People need to understand you get what you pay for. Everyone expects a Ferrari for like bicycle prices you guys be out of control. Get your ish together. Lol5despite what the bad reviews say... I have had two sets of these installed for over a month at this point. I use my PC a lot. it is on and running roughly 10-12 hours a day. these lights are lit the entire time. They have not dimmed, changed or otherwise faded in any way. Those complaining about yellowing, or lights changing or appearing orange(when the led color is red). this is due to a lack of power supply or improper voltage. take a look at how many things you have plugged into what is powering these. do you have a bunch of stuff running off that one molex connector? the silicone/ plastic housing for these, will yellow over time. though similar sets ive had for years even though the silicone has yellowed the lights are still very red. 4Nice product, but Quality control and packaging not greatPros:-It really is UV. Some reviewers mention it's RGB stuck on Purple, but that's not the case with mine. My UV liquid reacts and I even placed some currency near it and the security strip illuminates. RGB lights on purple can't do that.-Magnets. Makes for super easy install and the amount of magnets and spacing ensures the strip sets flush against a flat surface.Cons:-Way Too Bright in my opinion. 1 strip over saturates the case and makes everything purple. 2 strips turns my PC into the dominant light source of the room.-Packaging. the 2 LED strips are shipped stuck to each other and rolled up. The epoxy coating is very tacky and easily sticks to itself. simply separating the led strips from each other was causing small chunk of the coating to come off. I recommend shipping with some type of material , even thin paper between strips.-Quality Control. 1 of my sets came with a magnet missing out of the mold and wouldn't sit flush as a result. Had to return for replacement. replacement had all it's magnets.Other thoughts:-This product's saving grace is that it's the only product of it's type with magnets in the strip. The magnets made it desirable to buy this over spending a measly $4 more to get a comparatively huge 16' roll with remote. The magnets also swayed me to stick with the product through the noted cons.-Worked around the intensity issue by soldering a 33Ohm resistor to the 12v line. This takes the intensity down to about 20% of what it is normally. Picture is with the resistor in use, gives enough UV to make reactive liquid fluoresce without saturating the case in purple visible light.4One StarArrived late. Both strips failed to work.***Update. The company sent me replacements. Thank you. Unfortunately again neither worked....but.... I decided to tinker with them and found that the reason they did not work is because in each unit, the cables are in the wrong location in the connector (they have the 12v power and the ground cables in wrong). So,if you buy these and discover they don't work, and you feel like doing some slight modification, you can remove and reverse the 2 pins in each unit. Both work fine now and look good.1Don't Read the Negative Reviews - This product is outstandingI was skeptical buying these because of some of the negative reviews. But amazon has a great return policy so I figured it be worth a shot. These are the best LED light kids I have ever purchased, hands down. They were incredible easy to install. The magnets are strong enough to keep them in place. The lights are super bright, some of the brightest LEDs I've seen. I love the spacing in between the LEDs on the strips. Because they're so close together, you don't really see the points of light reflecting off parts of your computer. Instead you get more of a glow effect which is exactly what I was looking for.Been running these lights for about a month now with absolutely no problems. I'm starting to think all these negative reviews were due to user error, with a weak power supply most likely being the culprit. I'm not sure what you should have for a power supply, because mine is a beast 1100 watt unit, so power isn't a concern. But I'd say if you're running a PSU below 650 watts, you might have some problems with the strips. DO NOT pass up on these lights. I'm a professional PC builder and I frequently solder my own LED strips together. These lights are fantastic . One of the best general PC purchases I've made.5
