Far far better quality and better functioning than the older Ideal RG6 compression connectors!Far far better quality and better functioning than the older Ideal RG6 compression connectors!PROS1) The nut on these Klein compressors actually swivels far easier.2) I like the yellow color, as it highlights the connector more readily in dim lit areas.CONS1) I still strip back more of the jacket, 1/8" to 1/4" more than specified to ensure the copper core extends adequately at the user end of the connector.2) Still can over compress the sleeve, causing the sleeve to split. 5Good, Solid Coax Compression Ends!I have a Klien compression crimper, and I really like the Klien compression ends. I've used the f type, BNC, and RCA connectors. They all crimp on very easily and leave a good solid connection. The RCA connectors have been discontinued, and are super expensive as a result, but these F connectors work really well. 5Easy for beginnersEasy to use. The price is higher than some others, but it works great every time in my Klein tool. Great connections with low interference. For someone that never used compression tool or fittings, these were easy to use right out of the box. Much cheaper than having a contractor install. 5Very good compression connectorVery good compression connector... if you use one of their compression tools, preferably the simple VDV212-008-SEN Compact F-Connector Crimper. There is no need to buy their more complicated crimper, if you stick to these connectors. Competitors' trick is to offer attractive, inexpensive connectors that work only with their expensive crimp tools. Klein appears to be pretty reasonable, in offering the choice to buy a simple, good, and inexpensive compression crimp tool for their connectors. 5in order to test if it was actually any better than the twist-on kindThese things make running coax cable an absolute breeze. I purchased a kit with the tool, and a few ends a few months back, in order to test if it was actually any better than the twist-on kind. I have to say, this completely blows those out of the water. not only is this a much faster way of crimping the connector on, but it also seems to make a MUCH better connection to the strands inside the cable. A little pricier than the alternative, but in my opinion, well worth it. 5Beware with broadband, had an issue with ingressFor Comcast commercial internet, used these along with a quality double shield cable. Had issues with Internet not syncing afterwards. Had to unscrew the coax off the edge device and then reattach. This happened a few times daily. Meter read ingress leaks and swapped out all the Klein connectors with PPC connectors and everything is now in spec. 1Good connectors - quality.Good quality so far - worked like a charm and all 10 wires i set up tested clean on the first try. This was my first attempt at making coax terminations - and it was super easy.Lots of videos on youtube show how and for sure it just requires a bit of patience and care.Used the Klein tool that goes with this.Used for my indoor cables (outdoor connection i got a sealed fitting). 5Top of the line RG6 quad compression fittings...Yes, these cost more than other brands of compression fittings. That's because they are the best out there. The superb quality is instantly obvious. I used a Klein Tools VDV212-008-SEN Compact F-Connector Compression Crimper to install them, which is dirt simple to operate. These fittings work fine with RG6 quad coax, which is the largest diameter of RG6. 5work for RG-6QI made up 10 cables with this today (20 ends) and they worked perfectly with RG-6Q. I have a Southwire compression tool that looks identical to the Klein version (VDV212-008-SEN) except brown. These connectors in conjunction with that compression tool and the Klein stripping tool (VDV110-095) made the job super easy. If I didn't already have the other tools I would have bought a Klein "combo". My feeling is that when the price difference between good quality name brand tools and no-name stuff is so little, it is worth it to avoid the annoyance and frustration. Don't pull your hair out and spend twice as long trying to save 5$. Eat cookies instead. 5Klein quality = great productI've been doing crimps for years, and this was my first batch of compression connectors. I bought it with the Klein compression tool. I have no other point of reference. But the finished product feels like a factory-assembled unit, and I have very high confidence in the quality. Very nicely machined threads and quality finish all around. I will never go back to crimps! Klein has never disappointed me with their quality. 5
