Dont buy productI loved this shower head with adjustable arm but today i was taking a shower it split into i have not even had product for a month very dissapointed ..1Worked great for about 5 months then the side split out ...Worked great for about 5 months then the side split out and water now gushes out the seem on the side, making it useless. The 2 metal pieces that make up the unit are apparently glued together, not welded and will likely fail over time.Also worth noting that although was very comfortable when it was working it pumps out ALOT of water. My hot water in my house was drained every shower in only about 5 minutes (my old shower head lasted about 30 minutes of hot water).1Great for 5 monthsWorked great for 5 months. It started leaking around the swivel fitting. It's not from the threaded area. Definitely the swivel itself. Too bad, I really liked it.1Split at the edge after 5 months.Junk. I was OK until it split at the edge and we had to throw it away. We paid $50 for this thing and it only lasted 5 months. I wish we could have our money back but it's too late. The showerhead looked fancy while it lasted but it wasn't worth what we paid for it.1Serious simple installation for YEARS of MAHHHHVELOUS showers !!!! This is an outstanding value.SIMPLY Phenomenal. Period.Installation takes less than 3 mins. As advertised and has a mirror chrome finish.Story: I live in an apartment. Have for years. (I don't like lawn care and I am an old guy ~ Let someone else worry about the maintenance headaches).Tools and Install: You MAY NEED a set of regular HOUSEHOLD PLIERS AND a CRESCENT WRENCH and maybe A SOFT CLOTH so you don't scratch the finish of your new shower head. My existing shower head had a knurl type screw-on tightener on it which I remember tightening with pliers to ensure no leaks. NEXT: remove old plumbers tape from shower extension pipe (you don't have to be finicky about it, just get rid of loose bits. TAKE PLUMBERS TAPE THAT IS INCLUDED WITH YOUR NEW SHOWER HEAD and wrap the threads a couple times. FOLLOW the instructions in the new shower head box and screw on the extension pipe that will hold your new shower head. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS as to placement of the wingnut on either side of the extension pipe. HAND TIGHTEN THIS EXTENSION ONLY. (No tools needed). Unwrap your new shower head. NOTE that the shower head has a PROTECTIVE WHITE NYLON / PLASTIC screw on cap. Remove that. Look up at your newly installed chrome extension pipe and notice the bare metal threads where you are about to screw on the new Square shower head. Put a couple wraps of plumbers tape on those threads. Screw on your new shower head. NOTE; You will notice 2 flat spots on the nut that holds the shower head to the extension pipe. (this is where you MAY wish to use the soft cloth you have with your tools. NOTE where the two flat sides are on the mounting nut and place the soft cloth over them. Take your crescent wrench and place it over the soft cloth (REMEMBERING where the flat spots are. Tighten your crescent wrench to the flat spots (protected by the cloth). Slowly tighten your new shower head until it is SNUG. Remove the crescent wrench and cloth.Turn on your shower in its usual fashion and check your threaded plumber taped connections for leaks. If there are NONE ... you're set to enjoy your new shower head. If there are leaks ... tighten those connections a LITTLE and retry for leaks. When no water leaks then you have the correct tightness and are ready to use your new shower head.The above directions are for those people that have never done their own shower head before. This isn't rocket science and you can save yourself a LOT OF $$$ by DIY. If you are not sure but know someone that can help you ... then do it that way. Enjoy your new shower head for years to come because this one is made to last quite a while.Cleaning: A microfiber towel is always nice to have for bathroom chrome to keep it shiny and new looking. If you need to clean the shower head itself, remove it and sit it in a pan of Lime Away or something similar. You can also clean it with vinegar and baking soda but that doesn't work as well as the Lime Away which is built for calcium deposits.5good pressure. Would be a better product if they ...Only drawback is the nut that attaches the shower head arm to the water source does not tighten independently of the shower head.Took alot of tape to position the arm correctly without leaking. Works well, good pressure. Would be a better product if they addressed the connection so you could position the shower head, and then tighten the connecting nut.4Works great...even for tall people!So I was a little nervous about buying this shower head mainly due to our low water pressure. I removed the water regulator which was very easy to do. I ordered this with an additional attachment arm because I knew that with our plumbing turned downward and I wasn't going to get the desired effect of it being overhead. With a lot of plumbers tape and a little trial and error, I rigged up what you see in my photo. I'm six foot six inches tall and it clears my head by three inches. It's been up for a bit more than a month and the pressure and overall setup is great. I took one star off due to the nut being fixed to the showerhead which made tightening everything a bit of a challenge. Highly recommend this setup!4It's raining! Which shower head is the best one is a totally subjective question. Do you want a shower head that blasts you with power? Do you want a misting shower head that opens your pores and makes you feel like you just took a bath? Do you want a shower head that drenches you with soft rain drops? Answer that question, and you'll know what kind shower head is right for you.What we were looking for was a shower head that felt like it's was raining down on you, and that's exactly what we got. I was worried that the arm wouldn't extend high enough, but as you can see in my photo, the head will end up just a little bit higher than your current head is located. If you like the placement of where your current shower head is, this extending arm will be pretty perfect for you.I was also a little worried about this new head being a huge water waster, but I was happy to find that included in the package was a 2.5 gpm water restricting washer! The water raining down on you works quite nicely with only 2.5 gpm. Just because you have a huge shower head doesn't mean you have to destroy the planet.First thing you should do before you click buy now, however, is add 98 cents worth of plumber's tape to your basket. You're going to want to have control over how much you need to tighten everything. Tight on the arm could have your shower head shooting off in a weird direction, and tight on the head could push the washers into head and the whole thing will leak. Wrapping the threads with a little strip of plumber's tape will make your install easy and elegant. A little bit of tape means you don't have to crank the whole thing crazy tight to keep it from leaking, so buy yourself a little thing of plumber's tape and make your life easy.Because we were looking for a nice wide shower head that felt like a drenching rain poring over your head, we are loving this new shower head. It has little rubber nipples for each stream of water so you can easily unclog anything if a stream gets stopped up. It's all metal so it feels like it'll last forever. It gives the water experience we were looking for. And, because it's super shiny, you can actually use it as a shaving mirror for small easy shaving jobs (looking up to shave kinda sucks, but if you can do most of it without a mirror, this shower head works pretty well as a mirror for those last little facial hair grooming parts). 5defectiveThis shower head rusted and literally split its seam after 4 months of use. The water shot out sideways. Horrible1Rusted junkAfter 4 months of use the whole shower head is rusting around the edges, cheaply made. I would not recommend to anyone spend a little more and buy a higher quality shower head, this one does not last1Showerhead - YES! Extension arm - NO!The showerhead is terrific! Like standing in a summer rain. Love it! The extension arm is a piece of... very weak. It actually bent in assembly. I am no superman and made a point not to torque the arm, as one would do. Still, it bent... easily. Like a wet noodle. Showerhead, yes!! Extension arm, NO!3
