  • Quick Coupling (Green)

Customer Reviews

I really liked my new Grohe faucet but the flow was so ... I really liked my new Grohe faucet but the flow was so limited compared to the original faucet, it was very disappointing. I called Grohe directly and was informed there were 2 different couplings that didn't restrict flow, this being one of them. Other then having to clear out the under sink cabinet so as to be able to get to the old coupling, this was an easy replacement; no tools necessary. Just don't over tighten, hand tight only. And the results; greatly improved water flow. Only irritant; spending over $30 more to get the installation "complete". But it works! 5Improvement to the Yellow Quick Coupling. Our old yellow quick coupling cracked in half and created a puddle under the kitchen sink. I did some research online and saw that the green quick coupling (46315000) is Grohe's update to the yellow one (46138000), but nothing official from Grohe. Some say do not interchange, some say they work just fine. I figured the green one is called "Universal Quick Coupling" on build.com, it's worth a try. Maybe because it's brand new, but the green one looks and feels sturdier and works perfectly. I probably wouldn't buy a Grohe faucet again, German faucets do not have standard plumbing parts that American faucets do. I'm glad I found this part on Amazon and didn't need to call a plumber. 5OMG! What a difference. OMG!!! I have had a Grohe Ladylux Cafe faucet in my kitchen for the last 10 years. The quality and look of the faucet has been excellent, but my water pressure from the faucet was a joke. There was no adjustment that helped the issue and any visitors would immediately ask what was wrong with the faucet. After considering replacing the faucet, I decided to do a little research first. I learned my faucet came with the red (restricted flow) coupling. I switched to this green coupling and the difference is HUGE. It only took 2 minutes to install without any tools (hand tighten only and do not use plumper's tape on the threads). I only wished I did this 10 years ago. 5Easy fix for low water flow on a Grohe kitchen faucet. For three years I have been disappointed with low water flow from my Grohe Eurodisc Cosmopolitan kitchen faucet. Our neighborhood has low water pressure and the flow from the Grohe was grossly inadequate. I found this Green Quick Coupling on Amazon which allows a lot more flow than the original Coupling which has a Brown collar. After I installed the Green Quick Coupler the flow is like a normal faucet and the sprayer when turned on stays on as designed. Very easy to install! Turn off the hot and cold supply lines, unscrew the Brown coupling. Disconnect the faucet hose from the old coupling. Screw on the Green Coupling (by hand without using Teflon tape) and then attach the faucet hose. It's a 5 minute job and I'm thrilled with the result!! 5Increased water flow My Ghroe pull out hose failed and I decided to replace the coupling at the same time.Installation was simple and there is improved water flow which will allow me to reduce my well water pressure because of improved operation of the spray head. 5Works Great With No Flow Restrictor We have a 5 year old Ladylux Plus kitchen faucet and were experiencing greatly reduced water flow. After doing a bunch of reading online of various possible causes, by process of elimination I determined it was the quick disconnect coupling (mine was red/black) causing the restricted flow. Although we had a red/black coupling I changed it out to this green coupling because of the pdf I found online listing each coupling option. Per the pdf, basically it's this: the yellow/black coupling (46138) is version #1 Grohe offered and did not have a flow restrictor, just a check valve in it. Then version #2 came along, the red/black coupling (12365), introduced in 2006, which had both flow restrictor and check valve in it. Version #3, the green/black coupling (46315) was introduced in mid 2006 to take the place of the red/black coupling and had only the check valve in it. So if you have a red/black coupling, chances are the flow restrictor has become corroded or blocked with sediment as mine was. With the new green/black coupling installed, our faucet has the greatest flow it ever has. It is amazing and the spray option is working once again. One word of caution, as you install the new coupling be sure not to overtighten as the plastic housing on the coupling splits easily if it is tightened too much onto the metal threads of the mating fitting. 5An absolute 'must' for people in any state other than CA. This Grohe Green Quick Coupling is a 'must-have'--and I mean an absolutely MUST-have "Thingy" (coupling agent) for Grohe's Cafe LadyLux if you live in any other state than California. We used to live in California ourselves--I know they've got their water drought problems and my heart goes out to them for that. But if you, like us, live in a 'wetter' state than CA (say, PA for instance, where we often have more rain than we want), then you, like us, would probably prefer to have water that "flows" For Real out of your kitchen faucet rather than dribbles out. And I mean DRIBBLES out. Great-looking faucet but I don't know how Californians can stand living with such low-flow water.I took one star off because--heck, $40 was an awful lot to pay for a "kit" to remedy the "CaGreen" standard when you don't live in California. 4Skip the plumber! You can do this! This little green gadget saved us from an expensive plumber visit. Easy & quick to install. Anyone can do this. NOTE: whatever you do, DON'T don't remove (or let it come off) that extra long springy thing that's on the faucet hose. It'll take FOREVER to untangle. Trust me on this one. 5Made a big difference. Now the rest of the ... Made a big difference. Now the rest of the family is complaining about too much pressure. Not sure the Grohe is worth the price but came with the house. If black pieces of rubber are found in the nozzle this coupling probably needs to be replaced. Definitely get the green one as there are various types. No tools needed except for a bucket. 5Perfect replacement part This replaced the older (yellow) version of the quick coupler on the Ladylux Plus faucet that we've had since 2003. It had been making a buzzing/humming sound for a while now. The new (green) version fit and works perfectly, perhaps better. And it's quiet!PS: Before disconnecting the coupler from the faucet, even though you have the water turned off, be prepared for a certain amount of water to come out of the bottom of the faucet as well as out of the end of the hose attached to the coupler. A bucket and a rag will suffice. 5
