Great Quality for a Small PriceThis is the third case I've purchased from Fintie and I continue to be impressed by their quality. For this particular purchase, the fit is perfect for an older tablet, the Galaxy S Tab 2, providing more than sufficient protection without adding a lot of bulk or weight. They offer a variety of design graphics as well, making it easy to find a pattern or style for anyone. My oldest Fintie case lasted six years. Fintie will continue to be my go to company for cases for tablets.5BUY THIS CASE (over the Samsung branded one) if you are looking for thin, book-type cover!!I RARELY write reviews, and I have been a Prime member since the program began (and never as crazy long as this one)! Note that more of this review is about why not to buy the Samsung branded version (sorry Samsung, I am a very loyal customer and all of my devices are Samsung, but you are huge and should consider acquiring "Fintie", or whatever company makes this branded product). I spent $30-$40 on a samsung case that was very similar to this but had an extra flap that came around the front (about 2 inches) and closed it magnetically (similar concept to many women's wallets i have seen)...I loved it, and when carrying closed, I still do...it is a great looking case. But when I go to use the tablet, it is awkward because the case only attaches via the two little "buttons" (for lack of a better word) on the back of the tablet, so it literally "flaps around" in your hands when opening, then you have the flap that holds it closed that you have to bring backwards (in one way, because of the magnet, provides a benefit over this one...so I initially thought...i will provide a tip at the end). Those of you who have the Samsing case are nodding your head right now because you know exactly what i am talking about, those that don't are thinking what the h*ll is he talking about. Moreover, in addition to the risk of dropping it when the Samsung case is "flapping around" when opening to use, if you do drop it, there is zero protection around the corners and edges; this one actually covers the back and perimeter. While the branded one has 3 viewing positions versus 2 on this one, that value is minimal, and certainly doesn't outweigh the advantages of this one. This case is classy looking, even providing a "leather-like" insert in the back that matches the front cover. I paid $8.99 for this (it shows the regular price at $25.99) and I am considering buying another one in case this wears out, somehow gets a scratch, or whatever (it is actually in my cart now). If I knew about this one, and was comparing side by side (in my hands), I would have paid the 26 bucks instead of buying the branded one.NOTE:. I gave 5 stars in every category which included "durability", which obviously i can not attest to after 30 minutes, but I wanted to make sure leaving it blank didn't create a rating below 5 stars (again, I rarely review, so not sure if it would count as "zero" in the calculation). I am basing this on review of craftsmanship and materials, so there is some speculation...I will come back if I learn otherwise (and have to use the 2nd one I may buy later today).TIP: When i first opened this one, I hold with my left hand which i believe most do) i realized that there was no magnet on the back to hold it flush (the slight disadvantage i mentioned above). BUT, if you fold back at each of the folding points, you actually end up with a better "grip" when holding with left hand. Of course if you are holding with your right hand, this is a non-issue because you are holdind the cover flush to the back. Finally, someone commented that the magnets were "too strong" and causing it to go to sleep. While the magnets are very strong (possibly more than necessary), i tried to replicate the issue raised by the other reviewer by bringing the flap past the edge of the right side (theoretically the "closest" chance of there being an interaction), and I am not experiencing this...maybe check your settings? Or maybe you are accidentally pressing the button that puts to sleep (power button).5Pretty and functional case I've been using my Galaxy Tab S2 without a case for some time - my keyboard case is so heavy and clunky I only use it for luggage protection when I travel. This case is much lighter and prettier - I'll travel with it. The magnet closure works well, the tablet turns on and off at all the right times.Using the case as a stand is kind of "meh". If I want a landscape stand on a table it's OK, although I keep wanting to fold it the other way. It's not useful as a portrait mode stand, which is what I need most of the time.Opening the tablet to hold it on my lap, for reading the newspaper online, is OK but not great. The case lid is slightly in the way, and this case turns a super lightweight tablet into one that's much heavier. I decided to use it caseless at home for my daily newspaper read. 5Functionality combined with striking graphicsTable snaps easily into the cover, no mass or fuss . The fold lets the user prop up the tablet in an economical space. This is my second Finite cover, I also have Starry Night. The first cover has seen its share of prattfalls, and remains in perfect condition. It has protected my tablet despite the abuse it has taken. I actually purchased for the graphics but became a repeat customer because of quality. These attractive covers get lots of attention and requests for "where can I get one" . Great quality at modest price.5Great gift!Got this for my soon to be mother in law and she adores it! She loves galaxy styled things and her old case was getting very ratty looking so I decided to get her a new one. She uses her tablet daily and the case has held up beautifully! Looks exactly like the picture, I highly recommend, she works in a office area and also takes it to church as well and it's quite durable!5VERY FLEMSY When I first saw this on someone else tablet, I was very impressed. So I ordered it for my tablet. This is what changed once I purchased it for mine. It does not have the thickness that I saw on the one that my BFF has. So since her tablet is smaller and different make of Samsung tablet than mine it does not have the protection for mine that hers has. It is just what it says it is a shell and if my tablet hits the floor it has a very small magnet that keeps it closed. Please beware of what you are buying. 1Great cover for little moneyUPDATE - About 1 month.I have been using this cover for about a month and my first impressions have only gotten better. The cover is sturdy and provides adequate protection. I used this cover instead of the other cover that I originally purchased (which is the lighter weight Fintie cover). I was able to store the S2 in my backpack and felt that it had ample protection while flying. I would heartily recommend this cover to anyone. I can not imagine pay almost $70 for a Samsung cover when this cover does the same job very well and cost less than $10.***********************I have only had the cover about a week. These are my first impressions. I had looked at a Samsung cover - $69.95. You must be kidding. I found this on Amazon and figured for less than $10 with one day shipping how much was I losing. Not very much! The cover does exactly what I wanted it to. It protects the Tab S2. The S2 is so light that it feels like it might bend easily in a backpack (my old tablet did and it was much more rigid). So, the cover gives it some support. It is not uncomfortable to hold for long periods. I mainly use my S2 for reading. There is a little stiffness at the fold point which I took care of by creasing the fold with my finger nails several times. Some people complained about the cover pressing the raised button and turning on the S2. As long as the cover remains closed pressing the button does nothing so this does not seem to be a problem. The only thing that could be better is the stand . It can slip and the tablet falls flat. I like an iPad type stand (at least for the minis) that has raised indentations on the front cover and the tablet rests on those. The added benefit is that there are multiple viewing angles. Summary: Great cover for 1/10 of the cost of the same thing.5Perfect fit, super thin! When I got my tablet I was reluctant to get a case, as I hate bulking up such a nice slim product. It was actually sort of awkward without one though, so based on other reviews I ended up buying this case. So far it is amazing - it nicely protects the back and corners while adding very little thickness. In fact, it is easily the slimmest case I have ever had for a tablet. It actually makes it easier to hold. Obviously this is no Otterbox, but I'm confident it will protect my tablet from any reasonable mishaps. Some reviewers said that it was hard to snap on the tablet, but mine was quite easy and the overall fit is perfect.5Beautiful and protective cover that does not encomber the tablet.I helped my wife get a smaller one for her 8" Galaxy Tab s3 and she loved it. I had ordered the 9.7 size of the same tablet. The tablet is unbelievably thin. I hated to fatten it with a case but protect it I mus'. I chose gold and I am so glad I did. It looks Gorgeous!! It look like textured real gold. It shines. It also does a great job encompassing the Galaxy Tab s3 tablet like an elegant glove. Yes, the tablet seems thicker but not too thick. It is well protected and the folds help set the tablet up securely in a 50 and 30 degree angle for viewing and typing. I recommend the Fintie covers.5Not perfect, but it suits my needs When I was looking for a case for my Samsung Galaxy Tab S2, it was hard to choose from a variety of options. This one from Fintie wasn't the top selling or the most recommended. But the price ultimately drew me in to make the purchase. This was cheaper than the ProCase and it had the color Red, so I settled for it.As far as the product goes, I have no complaints over it, except for one. The case is really easy to install, and it doesn't make the Galaxy Tab S2 bulky and thick. The one complaint I have is the somewhat false advertising the vendor posted. The front cover of the case has 3 flaps that bends in two places. You can see in the second picture in the product ad that when just the rightmost flap was bent, the auto-wake feature of the galaxy tab s2 automatically activates. So I thought about trying it, and voila! No autowake feature. The entire front of the tablet should be freed from cover to activate the autowake feature unlike in the picture in the product ad where it shows that even if the front of the tablet is partially covered, the autowake feature will activate. It wasn't a deal breaker though. I have no use for that feature anyway. I just thought about saying that here to correct any expectations other buyers might have before buying the product. So 5 stars for the product quality. 5AMAZING QualityI bought this thinking it was going to be a cheap case that I could trust for the stand and nothing else. But somehow, it has managed to stand up to constant drops on hard wood floors and tile and marble surfaces. I dropped it corner down from four or five feet up on a tile kitchen floor - NOT A SCRATCH OR CRACK! I have no idea what they did right, but I love this case. The dark navy color stays dark and doesn't scratch easily, the microfiber inside cover is good quality, and doesn't stain easily (I use the stand when baking, and it's been covered in flour and dough, there's only a small stain from something). I really can't say enough good things about this case. Although I don't know how many people are buying Tab S2 cases these days... Because it's 2 generations old n all...Anyway, it's a FANTASTIC case. 100% recommended.5Good Case, But Could Use Some Modifications Pros:Let me start off this review by saying I do like this case and think it does an excellent job protecting my Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 (9.7in). I bought the white version of the tablet, so the white version of this case fits well. It feels sturdy and well made, and has the auto-sleep/wake function that I think all tablet cases should have. It's also well designed, allowing complete access to all of the buttons and ports.Cons:The reasons I'm giving this 3 stars is really just because of personal preference. The first reason is I'd prefer if the entire case was white. The edges and corners of the case holding the actual tablet are black. When looking at it from the back with the cover closed, it gives it an inconsistent look. It also looks slightly awkward in my opinion. The second reason is I'd prefer if the cover (when folded into a triangle) would be magnetically held to the back of the case. On my previous case and tablet, it was able to do that, and I thought it was a really good idea. With this case, the cover just hangs loosely when folded up, and when propping up the tablet, it puts it at a very low angle. If it could adhere to the back, it would allow a slightly higher and better viewing angle. Again, not really a big deal on either of these two things, but just things I think would make the case more satisfactory. 3Huge disappointment. Should NOT be advertised as a stand. The stand is SO flimsy... literally the first time I used my (brand new) tablet with this case my tablet screen ended up with a huge crack across it! It's advertised as a cover/stand.. so I assumed the stand would work. (How silly of me.) It does not work as a stand at all. I placed it in stand-position on a table and the first time I swiped the screen the stand gave out, causing the tablet to flip backwards.. landing face down on a ceramic floor. Huge crack across entire screen, plus god only knows what kind of important things got shimmied around internally.. so disappointed. 1Rebought, it lasted two years!!!I LOVE the emerald illusion design by fintie! I honestly have had another (purple in the pictures) fintie case for two years that even held up to a four year old beating the crap out of it, coloring on the inside, and sticky fingers. It held up nicely (although it's dirty). When I bought my tablet back from my now 5 year old nephew, I decided to buy another fintie case because the one held up so well! The new case does not have a keyboard holder flap, and I love it EVEN MORE! The design is elegant and it folds up to a tablet stand. I think any design would have worked, and this indecisive woman cringed when I clicked buy. I am happy with it! I'll be buying more for sure as my tablet will last a long time just for school access. Thanks fintie!5Ugh, is the magnet too strong? The case uses a magnet to signal the tablet to sleep when the case is closed. Unfortunately the tablet thinks the case is closed when it is open and wrapped behind, leading to random sleeping. Very annoying. 1It is a nice case and I have not had any issue with ...Does add some weight, but with such a light device it is hard not to notice. It is a nice case and I have not had any issue with it trigger the home button, even when I grab it on that end on purpose to see if it would trigger. I have not had an occasion to carry\store it in a bag\backback though. When I make my next trip and take it along, I will see how it holds up or if I get unexpected battery loss between uses due to it kicking on the home screen. I also have not used it in a stand mode, not my usual use case for covers. I expect on my next trip where I might be using it to stream movies I will have a chance to see how well it holds position over time when propped up.I certainly like the extra protection that I feel like it provides, though I have not had a drop to test that out. The Tab S2 is so thin and light, I was more worried about accidental damage as compared with the Asus Transformer I had previously.5
