Great Alternative to Apple Smart Case I couldn't bring myself to pay $80 for Apple's smart case/cover. So, I was more than happy to give this a try at 1/4 the price!It's easy to slide the case in, and works great. So far it has provided great protection. I haven't dropped it or anything yet, but it has kept it safe from bouncing around in my bag with other items.It does have an odd smell to it. It seemed to get better with time, or maybe I just got used to it. But, it smelled kind of gross at first. Like formaldehyde.Occasionally, I notice that I have trouble with the case covering the extreme edges of the screen. This rarely causes a problem, but I have had to slightly adjust the case to read the first word in a line of text, etc.It has a "Genuine Fake Leather" feel to it, ha! Yeah, it's not going to fool anyone, but it does have a nice texture that helps provide some grip to it.The best feature it that it doesn't add too much bulk to the iPad Air. It still feels think and light, but with the case fits more comfortably in my hands.Overall for the price, I haven't found a case that can beat it! 4Very Pleased We are very pleased with our purchase. The product looks great - almost like real leather. It seems to be well made and durable. We previously purchased one that was more like plastic and while it fit our Ipad and was very light weight, it only lasted one year. This one is heavier/bulkier but we think it will last longer and it feels so much nicer than the plastic one. Will see how it will perform in the future. We got the black one and looks classy. Not so sure about the sleep mode, don't really pay attention, so can't comment on that feature. 5So impressed with quality this time! Even though I didn't like the old Fintie Ipad 4 Folio case that I bought in November 2013 because of the bad quality, I still go ahead and get this Ipad Air Folio Case in a different color this time, black (last time i got brown). After researching and trying to pick out the one that I really wanted, Fintie is still one of the only few folio cases that has a stylus holder, and is affordable! I'm so glad I gave it a try! I must be lucky this time.Right when I took it out of the package, there was a smelly odor like the other reviews have mentioned, but honestly it doesn't really bother me that much! It was strong at first, but after a while it was not that bad. It's very slim, fits nice, feels right to the touch!! I think for now I like it a lot for only $7.99! The black color is very clean looking! I like this case a lot and I'm impressed with the positive differences compare to the old Fintie Folio case.The only thing i wish Fintie didn't take away is the hand strap! 5Perfect cover for the iPad Air I just received this for my new iPad Air. This is exactly what I was looking for. Very much like the original Apple iPad 1 cover but with a smart cover. It's light weight to match the iPad weight reduction. It holds the iPad very tight and makes it feel secure in your hands. The slotted cover to hold it on an angle works really well. Unlike the older iPad triangle fold. The feel of the material is very rugged. 5Don't trust the ratings, very cheap product UPDATE:So I've had this case for about 14 months and it beginning to fray and can't seem to hold my ipad in place any longer. I will need to order a new case now. However this is longer than I originally expected, so I'm updating my review from a 2 star to a 3 star. Love my case, it's lightweight and fits my iPad Air perfectly. I specifically wanted the folio design because it holds my iPad securely, and provides corner protection. I ordered the Paisley and the colors are true as shown on the website. The magnetic closure is very tight and secure and all of the buttons, microphone, and camera are easily accessible. The clip on the back works great as a stand. I Just wish it had a hand strap on the inside of the cover, but that a personal issue, and in no way detracts from the functionality of the case. 5Secure grip and protection for carrying the iPad Air. I just bought an iPad Air to replace my old first gen iPad and while I was very happy with the improved performance, the thing was thin and slippery and I felt like I was going to drop it all the time. I ordered the Fintie Apple iPad Air Folio Case - Slim Fit to give me something to grip and to provide some protection for when I will inevitably drop it anyways. The Fintie Apple iPad Air Folio Case does this perfectly. It gives my iPad some heft and has a stand that I can use to prop it up and watch videos on it. All I have to do is close the cover and the iPad goes to sleep, then opens right back to where I left it when I reopen the cover. I am very satisfied with this product and recommend it to anyone who feels the iPad Air is really too thin and slippery to comfortably use as is. 5Useful iPad case that is worth the money I like this iPad case and it appears to be well built. It seems sturdy and I think it will protect my iPad from most mishaps since the corners extend beyond the product corners and should absorb the impacts from drops before any damage is done to the iPad itself.The synthetic leather material doesn't feel as supple as others that I have felt, but it's not terrible. The one complaint I would have is when the case is folded back to act as a stand so the iPad can be used upright. There is only one tab on the backside to engage the flap, so there is only one position that it will hold in. It would have been nice to have a couple of tab options so the product can be used at different angles.The cutout for the round button at the bottom is accessible, but the thickness of the case makes it a little more difficult to rest your thumb tip on so the thumbprint can be read. 4Bought for iPad AIR Bought this for a new iPad Air for 99 cents around Christmas time. You can't beat it for the price (although price has gone up since). Case holds the iPad Air snuggly and even operates like a smart cover so opening and closing the cover with turn on/off your ipad (assuming you have that set in your Settings on the iPad). The simple fold flap in the back works nice to hold it at a nice angle for hands free watching. All the holes line up nicely - no problems with controls, camera, flash, or USB connection. My only gripe would be the thickness of the faux leather that surrounds the screen. When using the iPad at the very edges - it can often be difficult to actually contact the screen as opposed to the thick overlay of the case. You get used to it with not much problem though. I would say this is a great bargain case for an iPad Air.UPDATE: After 4 years my 99 iPad case is showing some age. Still much better than many I have seen in half the time. I just purchased my 2nd Fintie case - just like the previous one. They may not be fancy but they serve my purposes well. 4Useful This was a replacement for a different iPad case that my mother had. It unfortunately had the type of system that the iPad had to clicked into some side brackets. it becomes absolutely useless if one of the brackets breaks. This case has a pocket that iPad slips into and velcros shut. I have to say that I like this system better. My mother is quickly getting used to using this case. It is great inexpensive case that does the job well. 4
