Customer Reviews

This is a great product. I'm so happy to get rid of ...This is a great product. I'm so happy to get rid of all of those bulky DVD cases and just have the DVD's! It came down between this one and one more. The only difference was this one had binder rings and the other was held on by a small binding. I didn't have faith that one would keep up over time. I only have about 230 give or take DVD's and it's held up nicely. The only downfall to this case is that you have to take off each plastic tab before you can pht the dvd in its slot. It's annoying but worth it if it saves me a few dollars.5The most vile piece of garbage I've ever seen...This thing is so bad, it gives junk a bad name. I would give this piece of garbage a zero star rating if I could. But it doesn't allow that. The sheets are so thin and worthless that they fall right out of the rings even with the rings closed.I unzipped the case and $300 worth of Blu-ray and DVD's hit the floor. Some of them got damaged because of it. I'm very angry of this. I expect better quality than this cheaply made Chinese garbage that Amazon is allowing on the site nowadays. It appears Amazon could care less anymore about garbage vendors selling on their site so long as they make a cut of the profit from the sale.Stay away from this product, or you'll regret it. If you value your DVD's, look elsewhere for something to store them in. I'm going to demand a refund.1Nice BindersThese are well made and nice holders for CD's and DVD's. The only problem I have with the description of them is that after you put your CD's and DVD's in the pockets, it only holds about 250 to still be able to zip it up. So saying it holds 400 isn't true!!! Also they don't sell these binders without the pocket holders so we have to buy binders elsewhere to hold the leftover pocket holders.4Sturdy and secureI have an immense DVD collection, but also live in a small studio apartment. Needless to say, room is an issue. My DVD collection takes up so much room and honestly, I don't need the cases. I keep my collection for a variety of reasons: not everything is on Netflix/Hulu, sometimes internet can go down, etc. - and I needed a good way to store them. I found this to be a good buy, well constructed and easy to move around thanks to the handle. I like the rings on the inside, makes it easier to flip through pages, and by having it split into two sections, it allows the weight distribution to shift better and give better support, as well as look through the case more easily. Very solid.5Durable and convenientSo far so good. I bought two to put my movie collection away. Cleared an entire 7ft bookshelf. I will have to buy a 3rd. One thing I forgot to factor was how many discs are included in my TV show collections. I knew there were more than 2 or 3 discs per case, but Some had 6 - 9.It's a great way to reduce space usage. Durable. It is heavy once it is filled fully. I wish I could have splurged for something more fancy, but at the end of the day I would have spent well over $200. This way I only paid $40. Great deal. One annoying part: the part where you put the disc, in the plastic, you have to remove the opening, so you have all these uterus shaped pieces of very thin plastic, lol. It was more of a nuisance than anything but they are easy to remove and i just kept a tiny trash can next to me.5Feel Ripped Off - Hours of Work for NothingI can't believe all the great reviews. This is useless. The rings aren't strong enough and every time I open the case many sleeves fully fall out or hang by one or two holes negating any convience. I filled this with hundreds of cds (LOTS of work) and now it only frustrates me. I saw one review with this problem - does anybody else have this problem, and if so, any suggestions on how to remidiate it?1Portable large quantity but have patience... or don t buy!I have a love hate relationship with these binders! The Good: I love them because they hold a ton of disks and are sturdy enough to be moved around, our main requirements when wanting to take our DVDs with us. They do easily zip when fully loaded with 400 disks. We have accumulated a collection of over 1000 disks so this large capacity was a must. Given that, we bought three of these binders to take disks with us in our travel trailer and have the collection usable from both the downstairs living room and the upstairs movie room. We have been using the binders for several weeks now and they do perform well to transport large volumes of disks. We are not lugging dozens of smaller binders around so that is great. Also, the materials for the zippered enclosure and binder itself feel reasonably durable for the price point. I m a pay for quality girl but I also like a good bargain and these are a happy medium for me.The Bad: We have found a few flaws that are really annoying if you aren t prepared to use them with patience. The binder clips slip out of alignment so the pages will fall out of one or more of the binder holes. (Good news is I haven t had it happen in transport yet, only when flipping through the pages.) We did expect this to some extent but the extra annoying detail is that the pages don t lay flat because of the close proximity to the other binder clips. You can not just separate the pages and realign the clips if you are at the middle or back of the stack. I included a picture that shows how the pages cover the clips once you flip past a handful of pages. So, to fix the clip, you must finagle all the pages to get to the clips and try to hold them back while realigning everything. This leads to the second flaw of annoyance, which is the binder clips are so close together that the pages don t lay flat once you get past the first few pages of each side.My Suggestions: As you flip through the pages, work the front pages down in between the two sets of binder clips (see pictures) to be able to easily look at the disks towards the back of each side of the binder. You will be able to access the clips if you do this as you flip the pages. Also, pay attention to the clips as you move the pages. You will feel the pages start to slip before they leave the clip(s). Have patience and just don t be in a rush. It helps too to pay attention to how many pages you are moving at once. If you try to move more than 3-4 pages at a time, you will pull the clips apart and pull part or all of the page(s) out of the binder.Overall: I would still buy these again given the price and extra large capacity. This is what I needed and just works for our extra large DVD collection . But, I do have to use a healthy dose of patience when using them and would gladly pay a little more for the clips to have some type of locking mechanism (like a twisting sleeve lock) to keep them from slipping apart.4Won't close when full!I was very excited to get this product. We were downsizing from a huge tub where we had almost exactly 400 CDs to this booklet. As we were loading the CDs into the pages we quickly realized that this thing was never going to zipper back up. I wish we would have known this before buying it. If you're looking to store your CDs and some of the CD case booklets then shop somewhere else. This one will not work for you. I wish we knew that first.1Holds the 400 DVDs well, had to design extra support though ...We own over 1000 DVDs. Wanted to remove the ugly book cases of jacketed DVD's. Bought 2 of these after much research. We have two binders that holds about 300 DVDs. One case is now 12 years old, the other is 10 years old. We could not find one like that so this was the closest fit in our pricepoint.Had to design a support out of cardboard. It is 'c' shaped and surrounds and supports the zipper area. Thats how the 12 and 10 year old cases arrived. We just kept the cardboard support which was a grand idea in hindsight.Threw away the DVD cases/jackets.5Be careful what you wish forI had been looking for a case that held a large amount of cds.I bought this case because it has a large capacity. That is a gift and a curse. The large amount of cds/DVD s that it holds tends to make the rings that hold the sleeves not stay closed. On multiple occasions, I opened the case to cd sleeves falling out of the binder.3
