Kitty proofI bought this shortly after I adopted two male kittens. I am on oxygen 24/7 and this tubing has been amazing. Although it took a bit to get it all on, the cats cans now bite and play with the cords with no punctures. I chose the red so that others in my home could easily see the cord running through my home. Very Happy!51/4" split loom tubing smaller than usual.ELECTRIDUCT : Responding to your request for photos. See the comparison of the two colors that I recently ordered. They do no fit my oxygen tubing as the previous orders always did. (See the yellow one bought in May 2017-it is the correct size). I have already requested replacement of the red one. And today received the gray one so will be needing to return that one as well. Also sending photo of the bar code on each of those orders, in case that will help narrow down the problem if a bad batch. Looking forward to your reply if I should reorder and hope the new order is the correct size, or order elsewhere. Thank you for your help.WILL UPDATE REVIEW AFTER SELLER RESOLVES)2In-House Shark DeterrentThis has been completely effective v.s. our in-house "shark", Bella the cat! My husband pooh-poohed it until he discovered she'd bitten through his brand new phone cord. He ordered this today! Hah! Listen to the woman.5More Expensive Than Others, but Apparently for a Good Reason - Because it is Better Quality...and You Get What You Pay For!Finally - a high quality, OEM-style wire loom for automotive applications. Other split tubing wire loom I have purchased here on amazon has been made of incredibly thin plastic. It's worked for what I have needed, but this stuff is hands-down a far better product. You pay a little more for it, and it appears that there is a reason for that - because its actually quality stuff - thicker plastic, clearly more substantial than the others I have used - finally! Thanks to whoever makes this stuff. I ordered 100 feet of the 1/4 inch in both black and white, will be ordering the 3/8 shortly!5Saving money despite my chewing catThis is my 2nd purchase of these wire looms. I buy them to keep my cat from chewing up electrical cords. They are MUCH cheaper than new cords. A little tricky to get on without making your hands tired, until you get into a rhythm of sliding them on. Then they went on great. I bought the wider opaque ones this time to hide multiple cords and run it against a light colored wall. Not invisible, but good enough.5Tangle tamer! This made my life easier. I needed to have 4 ethernet cables run from the jack on one side of my studio, to the bulk of the machines using them on the other side of my studio. 4 tangly cords + about a 35 foot distance + my OCD need to keep things non-dusty and at least marginally tidy = this was perfect. I could even choose a color that matched the paint on the wall so it didn't stick out. To keep things even neater, I used pipe straps like these: http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IBMONTS?keywords=two%20hole%20pipe%20strap&qid=1456945482&ref_=sr_1_2&sr=8-2 to hold them next to the baseboard, tucking one edge of the strap between the baseboard and the drywall. That keeps it up off the floor and safe from being crushed by accidentally setting something on it or sucking it up in the vacuum cleaner and me safe from getting my feet tangled in it. The plastic kind will work too, I just had some leftover metal ones on hand. The only downside is that the edge of the tubing is a bit rough, so if you're feeding long lengths of wire into these looms it wouldn't hurt to wear a thin pair of gloves (I think thick ones would make it too difficult to work). After using all 25 feet of this, my fingers were very sore and scratched from pushing the cables into the opening. Still, it's a one-time job and that's a minor quibble. It's a nice loom and I'd re-purchase if I need more.5It works GREAT! and the price is reasonableI am on Oxygen 24/7, and my cats repeatedly bit through the plastic tubing. When this happened I would get less oxygen flowing through the tubing to me. So this was a medical concern, not just a convenience. I researched the internet trying to find something that could be used to cover and protect the tubing. I could find nothing for my purpose. Finally I found 1/4" Split Wire Loom Tubing that I could wrap around my oxygen tubing. It works GREAT! and the price is reasonable. It keeps the tubing pristine all month. I can honestly say that I am not a fan of having to be tethered and dragging 50' of all this behind me. But it is what it is.If you buy it, be sure to get a Wire Loom Installation Tool (1/4" - 7/16") to help wrap it onto the oxygen tubing...otherwise the job is long and tedious and your fingers wont like it either!UPDATE Nov 28 2018 - Still using this product for covering my Oxygen tubing. Still works great! I change it out twice a year, using 50' each time. Also, visiting Home Health providers etc liked the idea and are offering it to their patients as well.UPDATE March 23 2020 - Still using this product, still works great to protect oxygen tubIng from cat bites !4RecommendedI have a cat that loves chewing. I tried spraying a deterrent on the cords and covering them up as well as I could with blankets. After my cat chewed through 6 cords in less than 2 weeks, I decided to get these since the other methods weren't effective. I bought 2 sets of 50 ft and they covered most of my cords. This tubing is sturdy enough that he leaves bite marks but hasn't been able to pierce through and get to the cords.Pro tip: if you're frequently unplugging your cord and it's falling through the tubing, put a mini binder clip on the end of it (the pic is 1/2" tubing; I haven't tried with any other sizes, but I'd assume it would work if you used a bigger clip)Update: this is still working well for me. I saw 1 review that said a kitten was able to chew up theirs and another that said that the bigger diameters seem harder for the cats to chew through. I've purchased both the 1/2" and 3/4"; my cat has put bite marks in both, but hasn't chewed through them. I'd agree that anything smaller might not work as well if you have a cat that chews aggressively.5A Picture Speaks A Thousand Words.Awesome Product. I used a few of these(1/4", 3/4" and 1.5") to help clean up the area behind my TV Entertainment Center in the middle of my Living Room. Walking behind it to the bedroom or bathroom looked so ugly, so I had to clean it up a bit. Since a picture speaks a thousand words, I thought that I would upload a couple of pictures, Before and After. If I really want to be a perfectionist about it, I could do it even better. But, I think it looks awesome now.P.S. - A special thanks to the seller(Electriduct Inc.) for their understanding and patient Customer Service in helping me get these orders expedited because of my desire to get this project done.5Good, and badEasy to work with, seemed durable, bright color at first.I had this installed on my Honda Ruckus scooter to protect wiring harness without floorboard installed. It looked really cool when it was brand new. Within one month of on and off sun exposure it has faded dramatically into a faded yellow color...similar to the "submit" button color you see while writing a review on Amazon.Skinny:If you need a decent split loom for protecting wiring that easy to work with... You found it. If this product is destined to hold any cosmetic value in your project consider a black color, or another product.I was in no way compensated for this review3
