AmazingI have a light post in the front of the house which has an automatic eye to turn on/ off- well the light stayed on which means I had to replace the eye, after numerous attempts to do that it was so intertwined with wires I thought I needed to replace the hole light- however I saw these lights and it a miracle , screw the light bulb in amazing it works off in daylight - on at night. This one little bulb saved me a lot of money.5Does as Advertised...I was hesitant to purchase having not used this product before or knowing if it would actually work, but it was well worth the purchase. Now I don t have to worry about coming home to a dark yard ever again and I don t have to leave the garage light on all day. They turn on at the appropriate time in the evening and turn off at the appropriate time the early AM. So far so good. They are also compact enough to fit inside our exterior lighting fixtures. Another plus. At first, I was concerned that they weren't bright enough ( lacking lumens), but after picking up the newspaper in my driveway at 5:30AM when it's pitch dark, they are just fine. About the same lumens as the LED bulbs I replaced these with.The real test comes a year or so from now. Do they still turn on/off? Do they still work?The product appears to be well made.5A better solution than a Smart bulbWell, this bulb is smart because it goes on/off if it's light/dark. A great price that solved my problem. I was tired of coming home to a dark house and was looking for an Alexa or smart app programmable light bulb. After much searching I ended up finding this. And it's not a smart bulb - as it doesn't integrate with a wifi hub or alexa. Can't voice control but I have one above my kitchen sink and one in my outside patio light and now I never have to remember to turn the light on or off. These lights stay on at night and turn off when the sun's up. My problem solved with a much cheaper solution than other ways I thought I might solve this problem. I knew I'd love it on the porch but I didn't realize how cool it is for my kitchen sink light so it's on in the early morning when I get up and wake coffee or wander in the kitchen at night but it turns off when it's light enough (and I don't use that light during the day). I recently installed two of them over our front porch and both turn on reliably at twilight and off around sunrise. They have a nice soft white tone as advertised and provide just the right amount of light without being too bright (they re stated to be equivalent to a 30w incandescent, which seems accurate). The enclosed fixtures they re mounted in are about 10 ft apart so the lights auto on/off circuits do not interfere with each other, which could be an issue if mounted veey close together. Of course you do have to remember to leave the light switch in the on position, so I purchased an inexpensive switch cover to prevent accidentally turning them off.
