Worked Great!These things work great! Drilled through porcelain tile with no damage and made a nice clean cut. They will only drill about 4 holes, if kept wet and cooled. But at the price that's plenty fair.5very happy. I was worried that the 1 inch bit ...I bought these because they were cheap. I really only needed the 1 inch bit, but you never know when your going to "need" the others. Yep, I'm a tool hoarder. I took the advice of other reviewers when I used it. I drilled a 1 inch hole (with a spade bit) into a scrap piece of plywood, and clamped it onto the piece of ceramic tile with some strong spring clamps with non-marring rubber ends to use as a guide. I set it all into a shallow plastic storage container, with some scrap material between the bottom of the tile and the bottom of the container (so that I didn't drill through the bottom). I put the 1 inch drilax bit into the drill, set the container in my laundry tub (could have just filled that up if I had been thinking), filled the container up enough that the plywood was submerged by about a quarter inch, and proceeded to use the 1 inch hole in the plywood as a guide. I started slow, and lifted the bit a couple times to make sure that fresh, cold water was in the hole. It cut through in no time. Very, very happy. I was worried that the 1 inch bit would be too big for the 1 inch hole that I drilled with my spade bit, but it worked like a charm. I have one more hole to drill. The holes I needed to drill were for 1/2" pipe for the bathroom tub spout, and the shower head.4Yes these will cut through liquor bottlesWoop! These do not fit a dremel but that was OK. I was meaning to get a real drill anywho. I looked at other reviews on here and a YouTube vid later and this was SO EASY, COOL AND FUN! I'm so proud, lol! Yes you have to be patient and use steady even pressure. I only had to spray around the area a few times and I did both taquilla bottles in the same couple of hours. The bit is holding up nicely and I think I'll get more uses out of it and the others. So many crafting ideas to pursue. Woo!5Worked WellNeeded to drill toilet flange holes in porcelain tile. Took my time and diligence while using water and patience pays off. 4 holes and no chipping or cracking. Drilled in place after the tile was installed. Applied water held hand drill and started hole. Progressed with more water while using a wet vac to suck up the water at about 1/16 inch increments. While it took about 10 minutes to drill all 4 holes I was impressed at how well the bit worked considering the cost. Don't know how long they would last but I got my toilet flange installed properly.5Keep your coolUsed as directed these bits perform as advertised. I was highly satisfied with the results. With these and all other diamond bits keeping them cool and therefore using water, being patient and lowering speed are everything.5Better than expected! These are great bits. I have used them to drill holes into liquor bottles to make lamps out of them. So far the holes drilled have all been very precise and clean cuts. I would definitely recommend these bits and have been very happy with them myself.UPDATE: I just purchased a second set of these because I lost a couple of them. Still very much a 5 Star product. 5Porcelain tile Is a big negative!Did not work for porcelain tiles. It destroy the bit half way through 1 hole of porcelain tile.Yes I put constant water while drilling very slow with adequate pressure. 3 attempts with 3 different bits.I noticed The water is not to cool down the bit because I was not drilling fast or too hard to cause high friction. Porcelain dust dries in seconds and gets very hard. Water makes the Porcelain dust very soft like water and drips down out of the hole very easily.1Made holes in porcelain tileHave used this set to drill several holes in porcelain tile during a bathroom remodel. No observable wear, but make sure you keep them wet. I recommend building a dam out of plumbers putty and filling with water. Your bit will jump around if you go straight down, so start at an angle to grind out a 'path' that will keep the bit centered on one edge of your hole.5Very satisfied - Worth the money Got these bits promptly. Very satisfied with the performance of the product, so far.Used a 1" bit in a Porter-Cable drill/driver to cut a plug/hole all the way through a 2" thick slab of limestone. Since the bit was not as "deep" as the slab was thick, I had to drill as far as it would go, then smack the limestone plug with a 1/2" rock chisel, then remove that material from the hole, before continuing to drill even deeper. I had to do this twice before finally drilling all the way through the slab.I also kept water on the drilling site by utilizing a used margarine tub into which I had drilled a 1" hole, then used some putty on the bottom of the tub to keep it in place on the slab, then poured water into the tub. Twice I had to add more water to the tub during the drilling process. The total time required to drill through the slab was about three-four minutes. The bit probably would have done the job faster, but I'd never drilled any holes in/through rock or concrete, so I was may have been more cautious than necessary...but, maybe not.After completing the job, I was surprised to find that it looks like there is still enough diamond/cutting material to drill at least two - and possibly - three more 2" deep holes before it becomes useless. Obviously that is just an estimate, as I don't know if the diamond/cutting material that remains will maintain the standard of cutting I was achieving.I'd like to say that I will come back after cutting/drilling more holes so that I can report my actual/final results, however I only needed to drill one such hole, so my thinking is split between the following two possibilities:1) on the one hand - I'll save the bit for the possibility that I might need it for another project, rather than wasting the rest of the cutting/diamond surface just to find out how long it will last, but2) on the other hand - I'm thinking that for just $24.99 for the ten piece set, I COULD afford to test that one bit. And, if I did, it would at least serve as informative for the purpose of potential future purchases of this same set of bits. At least I would KNOW how much drilling could be done before it became too worn to drill/cut anymore (at least when used on limestone). Doing so would allow me to make a more informed buying decision if I need more rock/masonry bits for bigger projects of this sort down the road. 5Success! Must have drill bitsThis is a must buy if you are needing to put holes in glass or tile. I bought these while I was rehabing our master bath. I tiled our shower and now I'm hanging a shower tower, grab bar, and towel racks on the ceramic tile. I bought some regular drill bits with the diamond coating that they didn't work. I read some of the reviews about this set and I bought them. I am so glad that I did. So far I have drilled 4 holes through the tile and not one crack or issue. Just be patient and use water in a sponge and these drill bits worked as advertised. When I got them, I took a piece of scrap tile to put a trial hole through it. I was concerned with the tile cracking in half and I would have to dig the tile out and redo a lot of hard work. But I was successful on my trial run and now on 4 other holes on the wall.5Super cutters at bargain price for realzGotta admit I was not expecting much from these cheapies but was amazed how well they worked. Cut right through 1 granite countertop to install a reverse osmosis water filter faucet. Quite a beautiful thing.5The diamond bit worked fine. I bought the ten bit set to get ...The diamond bit worked fine. I bought the ten bit set to get a 7/8" bit that was not available at the store. It cost less than the price of one 3/4 drill bit at the hardware store.Drillled a 7/8" hole in an existing granite sink to install a new faucet for drinking water. Used water to cool the bit and let it to the work without using a lot of pressure. It drilled a clean hole and did a good job.5Great bits for tile I have used these in 3 bathroom shower tile jobs. They work great and are as good as name brand bits. Must keep wet and cool. You must start hole slowly at a little less than 45 degrees and work to 90 degrees or bit will walk. Bit must be cleaned out after each hole. Finish nail works great 5
