Poor design--Hard to refill.I bought this because it matched the faucet. I wouldn't buy it again because it is hard to refill. You have to reach under the sink and unscrew the base and refill rather than refilling from the top. Poor design.1Works perfectly and looks great... Works perfectly and looks great! Only wish I was able to unscrew it from the top to refill the soap dispenser instead of having to go underneath the sink and unscrew the plastic container to refill it. Good thing is that plastic container that holds the soap is pretty big so I don't have to refill it often at all. The stainless steel color of it is a little darker than the other SS products in my kitchen but it's not off by much and it still looks very nice in my kitchen. 5the top of the item could not be lifted off easily. They said if it broke they would replace ...I feel this was a returned item because 1.) the Delta box label had a white label over it covering the UPC code and the manufactured date, 2.) the plastic bag containing the item had a different date on it, 3.) there was no instruction booklet included with the item and had to call Delta for filling instructions. Upon doing so, the top of the item could not be lifted off easily. They said if it broke they would replace it. Finally did get it off and I think whoever had it could not do so. If there was a problem, item should not have been restocked. Also, should this item have included a filler funnel?3Stunning AppearanceI had purchased the Delta Leland Faucet in stainless steel and a soap dispenser was included. After installing the faucet and it's components, I was very disappointed in the quality and appearance of the soap dispenser. It's design and quality did not match the faucet and just spit out a very minimal amount of dishwashing soap. Thus the hunt for a different soap dispenser began. I first went on Delta's website and after finding the Allora dispenser, I came to Amazon to see if they offered the same one. Well of course they did, why did I question if they would. I indeed purchased the dispenser, it has been installed and I am thrilled with it's appearance and function. No one would ever guess that this dispenser was not part of the original faucet set. I particularly like the way it sits so much taller which offers easier access. Please check out the two different pictures of the faucet with both dispensers and you'll see the differences between the two dispensers. Those are my uploads and shows the original dispenser and the Allora. I would highly recommend this dispenser. I think it would work well with many of Delta's single lever pull down spray head faucets styles.Update: We have just installed two new Allora soap dispensers in the Arctic Steel color. We are installing a new faucet in the Arctic Steel and wanted the soap dispenser to match. The colors are very different and the Arctic color more closely matches all of our appliances. The Arctic steel has more of a clear blue tone while the old stainless steel has a gold tone. With our new faucet's handle incorporated on the faucet itself, it left us with an extra hole in our granite counter top. We are adding an additional soap dispenser that will contain hand lotion. This is my absolute favorite soap/lotion dispenser and if they last five years, I'll be pleased. So far our old one has lasted four years and still working fine. We'll donate it to Habitat for Humanity Restore.5Pricey but worth it ....Could have purchased cheaper soap dispenser but paid extra to get this unit, which matches the Delta faucet in my kitchen.Installing it is straight forward and the top part will come off if you pull on it gently but firmly.Metal O-ring at the base where the pump detaches gives it friction-retention.Top access to refill is a must since accessing the bottle at the base underneath the sink is a royal pain.If this unit did not detach at the top, it would have been a deal-breaker for me.4Product previously opened and partially assembledPerhaps my experience is a one-off, but the faucet supply hose leading to the nozzle had been opened out of its plastic packaging (as were other components) and someone had coupled the nozzle to the hose.In addition, the product was cheaper in construction quality than the original identical model this was to replace.I will deal directly with Delta Faucet to obtain what we need.1Matches our Delta faucet and seems sturdy and pumps reliablyMy first soap dispenser of this exact model finally broke after several years of use, but I like the style enough that I bought the same thing to replace it with. The reason the original broke may have been my own fault... the bottle of soap itself snapped off at the neck where it threads into the pump part. I was under the sink trying to remove the bottle and I may have tweaked it wrong. Whoops. So that's on me and not a reflection of the quality of this dispenser.4Don't bother Way too hard to operate. Pump itself is very stiff and although Delta and many users swear the top screws off for refilling, I couldn't get the top off. (That little line near the base is the joint where it's supposed to separate with a quarter turn.) Got a much less expensive soap dispenser that I'm much happier with. 1Another good Delta productI have gone through a number of the off brand soap dispensers that they sell at Home depot and Lowes and they keep breaking. Thus I finally decided to give the Delta one a shot and see if it was as good as the facets. Well, it is. I have been using it for a few months now and the pump still works perfectly. It does NOT drip, even when you just pump a little bit out to clean one glass or something. Much better then the off brands, plus you have Delta to back it up if it ever does have an issue. I have only had one issue with a Delta product over the years, and that was a new faucet that had a pinched O-ring. I called their 800 number and they just got the model number and such and sent the replacement part out immediately via overnight mail. That kind of service is worth the cost of a Delta product.4Pretty but refills are tedious This is a pretty and hefty pump. Although, I wish I could refill every 3 days without squatting down, unscrewing it, standing back up, filling it through a tiny hole, squatting back down with a flash light, and screwing it back in gently so its not too tight for the next refill. 3I don't recommend at allThis is the 5th or 6th time I have puchased this same Delta soap dispenser...... because it is the matching dispenser to my Delta faucet. It simply just will not stay fastened and when I pump soap from it, it loosens and spins around. Very frustrating. This time however, the finish is peeling off. I don't recommend at all. I am just going to buy a completely different soap dispenser and hope there's one that can match my existing faucet.2Broken (again)Two of these have broken. The top is made of 2 pieces. The top piece comes off for refilling but after a while naturally soap and water get on it and its hard to remove. Finally the cheap platisc clips that hold it together break. If you are going to design it so people have to pull on the top to fill it, it should be made of 1 piece.1Can put in soap from above the counter!Bought this pricey little gem because it matched the motif of my new kitchen design. It was slightly larger than I had expected it to be but looks nice none-the-less. The best part about the whole thing is that it snaps off at the base and it can be refilled without crawling under the sink and unscrewing the soap tank. This one has the option to refill that way if you want but it can be refilled from the top too. Because of this feature it feels slightly less stable, which I thought would be a major annoyance - but two weeks in and I haven't given it a second thought until I was writing the review today. The first one that arrived was shipped in a bubble wrap line bag (no box) and it had shipping damage. I was quickly sent a second one with a special request that it be shipped using a box and it arrived that way in perfect condition.4
