Customer Reviews

Holds so much!I love this thing. Great way to organize all my gadgets. Originally bought for an overseas trip so that it would be easy to lay these things out at airport security, but I use it all the time now because it's so portable. Not only is there the strapped area, but also a pocket behind it. I can fit either my iPad2 in the OtterBox defender case or the iPad with attached Logitech keyboard in this area.In the strapped area, I put my iPad charger, Kindle paperwhite, cords for my iPad and iPhone, a tablet pen, small camera, iPad camera connection kit, and earbuds.Very easy to get things in and out, yet it holds items securely because of little silicone-like dots on the straps. No problems yet with straps getting stretch out. The velcro closure is nice, though I might have preferred a zipper. However, this gives extra room to stretch. I can fit all the above stuff in and still close it easily, which is great.5Great idea, but not quite thereGreat product idea, not completely well executed. The velcro on the case needs to be placed differently to allow the flap to cover and close when there are somewhat bulky items in the Grid-It organizer section (the neoprene does not quite stretch enough to compensate.. I may do a little modification of my own to get the placement to work. The tablet pouch is a tight fit for a Toshiba Encore 2 10" with cover. and there's no chance it'll fall out.The Grid-It elastics have a funny smell - this one didn't smell as strongly as the 10-inch organizer (thankfully!) and the smell is now barely noticeable after a month of use.4It's OKI like this case, but it's not as useful as I had hoped as far as my tablet was concerned. I used it on my trip to Japan, and it was fabulous for keeping gum, tissue, a small back-up phone battery and such. My cube battery didn't fit in it, though, and neither did my Samsung 10" tablet, unless I took it out of it's protective case, and I am not willing to take the risk of it falling and being damaged. Over all it will come in useful, but I could live without it, too.3Wrap Case (10 inch) is awesome! I had been looking for a neoprene case ...The Cocoon Innovations Grid-It! Wrap Case (10 inch) is awesome! I had been looking for a neoprene case for my iPad Air for a while now. I was pleased with this purchase. The Grid-it keeps my iPad safe and also accommodated all my accessories: portable hard drive, iPad air power chord and charger, mini USB charger and chord, 4 USB thumb drives, several stylus' and portable power pack. That's a lot of gear to harbor. The Wrap Case is a little bulky after it is wrapped up tight but it keeps everything insulated and snug without any of my gear falling out. Inside the Wrap Case there is a sleeve for your tablet and a stiff board with elastic bands that keep all your accessories tight. The stiff backing also serves as rigid protection for your tablet face. After everything is in place the "wrap" part keeps everything protected. I highly recommend this product. I will be buying additional Grid-It! products soon.5Good for Staying Organized on a Trip or in a Large BagIf you carry a lot of stuff around in a large bag/purse (meaning 99.9% of women), this is a very easy way to keep things tidy and easy to access, without having to dump the contents of your purse out or spend hours searching though the compartments (not that I've ever done either of those things...). The downsides to all the organizing possibilities this offers is that it's bulky and you really can't have your iPad in a case to use this protector. The plus side is that your iPad is well protected and you can actually find stuff.I'd recommend this for traveling as it's a great way to organize all your electronics but for everyday use, it really depends on a) how good or bad your current system is; and b) whether you actually NEED to carry a ton of stuff to require such a holder. I don't use it regularly but I'm hanging on to it for traveling.4Eh. Could be better.I love the concept, but because the wrap needs to be stretched to accommodate a tablet and whatever cords/plugs/wires you have in the grid, you need to have a reasonably strong and flexible cover along with solid, well-made velcro strips. The wrap cover is strong but not really stretchable, and the velcro is really weak and barely sticks. Will it work as a stopgap measure? For sure. But it could be better.3Exactly What I was Looking ForThis was exactly what I was looking for. I ordered a few other cable cases but all of them had the same issue - when you placed more than 1 charging adapter (phone, tablet, etc), it would become too bulky to close and zip up.Not with this. This is big enough to fit all my chargers and cables, without adding unnecessary bulk. It takes up more space, but fits great inside my bag. The other cases would get to bulky and made my bag looks lumpy.5Love this productPerfect for the traveling music student. Use the pouch for my 10" tablet, and store my cables, Amplugs, tuner, picks, AA/AAA batteries and other gizmos in the slots. Because the exterior is velcro friendly, I can use velcro straps to add on any items that don't fit inside (like my tablet stand).Criticisms:1) Could use some velcro straps that stretch around to the back. Sometimes the bulge makes the sewn-in velcro unreachable. I just use two strips of double sided velcro and it's fine.2) Would be even better if they could find a way to build a handle/strap to it.Bottom line: fantastic organizational solution for tablets and accessories.4Better separated. The combination of GridIt and case makes this unnecessarily thick.A slipcase for iPad, plus a separate GridIt is better (I own both this, and the separates). This seems like a bargain in that it costs about as much as just the GridIt. But then you realize that every time you want anything from the GridIt, you have to open this with noisy Velcro in a library and it's a non-starter. Add to that: the Velco will get fuzzy and fail from all the pulling open and shut long before the case will wear out, and one will have a floppy mess in the end.Not fabulous.3Perfect.There are some strings, kinda like fringe comming off the elastic parts on the front, but it is not so much that I think they will fray away. It looks like putting items into the grid and removing them have caused enough friction to loosen the threads. It seems like this is pretty normal as the elastic isn't damaged, there was just some extra threads. I only mention it because it seems at first like the straps were going to fray away to nothing, but once a few strands came loose and worked their way out of the woven pattern of threads and elastic it has been fine. There was a bit of a strong smell (a latex rubber smell) after a few days it lessened. This works really well to hold my camera, wallet, cell phone and stylus all in my bag and easy to find. I would not recommend putting large or bulky items into the grid on the front, the flap won't close. It is great for objects that are pretty flat like a cell phone, pens, eyeglass case etc.... I think this will be great for keeping my school bag organized. I can keep all the things I need for school in it and it fits my ipad in its case securely, it's a little snug but that is keeping it safe, considering I have a fairly thick case I was suprized it fit.5
