Customer Reviews

DissatisfiedBought this for my wife for Christmas and just installed because it s been so cold here in Massachusetts and I must say I m very disappointed!!! The aux plug doesn t work without having to wiggle it around till I find the sweet spot!! Very annoying!1Volume issuesDoes the job fairly cheap. It is installed on my acura mdx 2008. I expected it to interfere with my CD input but was pleasantly surprised when it worked with the aux input. The biggest complaint is, over the course of a few days the volume gets lower and lower and doesn't start working again until I reset my phone. Not sure if it has to do with my phone (doubt it) or the adapter. It's more annoying then anything.3Works great with Bluetooth adapter on 06 OdysseyMy 2006 Honda Odyssey EX-L doesn't come with an AUX input, but the stereo has an XM/AUX button. I also wanted Bluetooth to not have to deal with cords, so I bought this adapter that takes USB power and an AUX input. Plugged the AUX adapter into the back of the stereo, and then plugged the other end into the Bluetooth adapter, hid all the cables behind the climate control panel. Followed a YouTube video. No drilling needed and everything has been working great.Idea from this reviewer: https://amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R1QD0M3OEVU3SFBluetooth adapter: https://amazon.com/gp/product/B00YPATOEE/5It doesn't happen all the time but enough to be very annoying. I don't use it much because of thisI installed this on an 06 Acura TL. There's some weird feedback / glitching noise when plugged in. It doesn't happen all the time but enough to be very annoying. I don't use it much because of this. Also even if your volume is all the way up on the phone it's still low through when going through this device. Also Also if you shut your car off when your in the CDC mode (in the car stereo) and then start the car up without the phone plugged in you can't turn the radio on or change to a different input. I've found that if you shove a tape in the tape deck it will turn the stereo to tape mode and then from there you can get into the other modes like radio and CD.2AUX adapter for the CD input on HondasI bought this for my Honda Goldwing GL1800. The 1800 has the capability of having a CD player on it but mine did not. This adapter plugs into the CD input plug under the seat. I then routed the cables up to a location to plug into my XM radio. (My GPS uses the AUX input on the 1800 radio) Works great! Good volume control. The USB plug supplies 5v and is "Hot" all the time, so if you plug something into it, it will remain on even if you turn the ignition key off. I would recommend putting a freezer type bag over the unit and tape it closed to prevent moisture and dust from getting into it. Overall good value for the money.5Some dismantling of the car interior is required but easy to installThere are great videos online to show you how to install the AUX cord. Prep work. 3/10 skill level required. Just be careful and sometimes pull hard to pull clips loose. Actual install. 1/10 skill level required. Maybe equal to plugging in a USB cord into a laptop without looking while the laptop is sitting in your lap under a table. This thing is working really well in my Honda with my cell phone and my old gen 5 iPod. I do have to turn the car volume up to about double what I set it at for listening to CD's and the radio, so I bust an eardrum if I forget to lower the volume before flipping back to my car radio. Really glad I bought it.Update: There is some intermittent electrical/static interference that seems to be from the aux cord. That static reduces the sound quality to that of a non-digital A/M radio station. Still better than local radio on hourly song repeat cycle and annoying commercials5I dont have a CD changer and it works just fineI installed this in my 2006 Honda crv. I do NOT have the CD changer in my radio, you do not need the CD changer only confirm that you have the honda 2.4 white plug on the back of the radio. It's truly plug and play. Depending on which model car you have removing the radio can be a pain but the crv is a piece of cake. Plug it into the 2.4 white plug on back of radio, route to your desired location (I routed mine through the center pocket under the radio) plug the cable into your phone, choose music and push the CD button on the radio and you got music! It isnt quite as loud as the regular cd or radio but it's close and the quality is the same. I added a ground loop noise reducer (about $8 and plugs inline with the aux cable/jack..also gives you an extra 6in or so which is nice) as some reviews complained of humming or buzzing. My only complaint is the USB charging port is worthless; I plugged a high quality cord into it and my phone said slow charging. So I left that part behind the dash panel...if you plan on trying to use the USB port, make sure to plug your cable in first as they dont give you nearly enough slack for the end of the port to be outside of the dash. Otherwise it works perfectly fine :)4Great productWorked perfect once it remembered to turn the car off then restart it after I plugged it in used this then an adapter that makes it look factory and it's awsome I use it every day. On the 05 honda accord.5Half volumeThis device limits the volume of your factory stereo. Also mine was damaged right out of the box. It is listed as CD quality but it is only half volume. Not good on a stereo that is only 10 watts to begin with.12006 Honda RidgelineProduct worked great, sound is quality. 15 minute install if you've taken the dashboard off before. For the aux out, I drilled a hole into the top of the "not an ashtray" and the cord has sufficient length for the phone to be accessed by the driver (not that you should drive and mess with the phone).5
