Very responsive and durableI previously bought a capacitive stylus for my daughter's Samsung Tab 2...it had the customary rubber tip and as I felt the end of the thing, I was thinking about how many more days that it would be before it would eventually crack/split and render itself useless. On top of it all, I spent a good $16.99 for it with no additional features worth mentioning except that it had a clip on it just like any other pocket pen.I looked around Amazon and came across this pen. I was intrigued by the fiber mesh construction at the tip. I was, however, a little wary about the price that it was going for, especially seeing that it was nearly half what I paid.My fears proved to be unfounded. The fiber mesh construction at the end is more than just a gimmick; it works. Just the feel of the construction at the tip makes me feel pretty reassured that this pen is going to last me quite a bit longer than the other pen. I have tried it on both my daughter's Samsung Tab 2 and my Kindle Fire HD and they both respond instantly and fluidly to the pen's touch with no interruptions/stuttering.Included with the pen are 3 lanyard attachments. Two of them feature 3.5 mm jack plug-ins...you can use the headphone jack of your tablet to secure your pen if you feel inclined. It works, but I worry about the plastic construction of the jack insert. Although it has not happened, I fear that if something were to snap off the cord, then fishing that piece of plastic out of the 3.5 mm jack would lead to a not-so-fun day. The third just has rings at either end. Personally, I don't find myself needing any of them, since I don't find myself in a situation where I need to just have it dangling off the end. I either use the spine of my cover and the pen clip or, in the case of my daughter's case, use the fabric loop that is designed to hold a pen.I highly recommend this pen - great construction, smooth performance, and eye-catching colors to match whichever tablet or tablet case you may have.5Better than the plain Boxwave styli, different clip, same qualityI have a couple of plain rubber Boxwave styli and they're quite good for the price. (See my video review(s).) This is longer and has a tip more suited to sliding across the screen. I keep my screen (actually a Boxwave screen protector) scrupulously clean for legibility, which sometimes makes a rubber tip not skid across. This stylus is the solution. Though I have to press slightly harder to get the screen to register, the tip also slides well across it when I need to draw a pattern to unlock, or scroll a widget. It's more comfortable to use, too.1 star off for the very tight and rigid pocket clip. Where the other Boxwave stylus has a "ball" type clip that slides onto pockets, this "dagger" style is almost impossible to clip to a pocket without holding the fabric or pulling the clip. Small detail, but a regular annoyance. The variety of clip leashes is nice, if you need them. I prefer a mini stylus to plug into the audio port on the go when I need to tap briefly, and leave this stylus at my desk or in my pocket for extended use of the mobile.4Really good stylus12-14-12: I wrote a very detailed review of my last stylus - maybe you can find it in a search. This will be short. I think this is a rubber-tipped stylus with a microfiber cover. The microfiber definitely makes it more responsive. I use an ipad note taking program every business day, and my other styli had a problem where sometimes it just wouldn't pick up the writing stroke and I'd have to use my finger. This gets picked up almost every time. In fact, I've encountered one program not picking up my finger, but it did pick up on this stylus. Its also a good length and circumference - like a real pen, although a little more heft would be nice. The attachments are nice, but I don't think I'll use them.Only minor drawback, and this may be due to my use of a no glare screen protector, is that there is a rubbing. Lise as I write. Not that big a deal, but I'd prefer silence and my rubber tipped styli are silent. Still, this registers much easier so ill be sticking with it.1-6-14: The stylus is starting to "skip." I have not regularly used this stylus for several months now, as I've been using the similar product that I bought from "friendly swede" on June 2013 instead. I purchased the product from the friendly Swede because it was cheaper and I intended to use them as my backups, but they just sort of became my primary stylus for no particular reason. The boxwave is definitely harder to use, as the ipad is not picking it up as easily. I assume the rubber underneath the microknit is drying out, but I am not sure. I would not view this as a warning or a drawback to this product; just be aware that the life expectancy of the stylus is about 2 years. At least for this one. I don't know that the ones by the friendly swede or anyone else will last longer.5You aren't getting this one, Fluffy! (You'll have to take my Kindle too!)This stylus works superbly with the Kindle Fire HD!The fibermesh tip takes the BoxWeave stylus to a whole different level! Far superior responsiveness than a rubber tip stylus. Also more durable, without the rapid decay in firmness of the rubber tips. I was getting tendonitis from having to press the stylus so hard! Luckily, my cat stole the first two types of stylus I purchased, both rubber tipped. This stylus also comes with multiple attachment choices. I use the coiled spring that plugs into the headphone jack on one end. Using a standard jewelry "lobster claw" fastener on the end of the stylus to quickly detach and re-attach was pure genius. Having the stylus attached to the tablet on one end also solves my worry of accidentally scratching the tablet with the wrong end.The clip on the stylus is a bit tight when trying to clip to the folding leather Kindle Fire case Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9" Standing Leather Case, Onyx Black (will only fit Kindle Fire HD 8.9"), but since the jack is pretty secure, I'm not worried about losing the stylus. Finally foiled, Fluffy! (If my Kindle goes missing, will report back.)5The Perfect Stylus! My name is, Mitsy. I have Cerebal Palsy which keeps me in a motorized wheelchair and my left side is worse then my right! And, my right does have motor-control problems and being that I am constantly on my Ipad 3 or my HP notebook and my (all in one - touch screen) desktop and I detest fingerprints I use stylus' all the time. Well, rubber tip stylus' simply rip or break and then you need another cause none of them come with extra tips. So, I went looking for a new stylus and came-accross so many (from $5 TO $100) and they all promised this or that but they were made out of rubber. As, I was looking, I found yours - BoxWave EverTouch Capacitive Stylus, in a ray of colors. And I read the description of how it was made and found out it wasn't rubber but a (fiber mesh) an is unbreakable as well as resistant to tears! I ordered two (jet black and crimson red) the black for my ipad and the red for my desktop. I LOVE THEM! So, if, you need or want a great stylus at your command and that will standup to many years of constant use, I Strongly recommend THE BOXWAVE EVERTOUCHCAPACITIVE STYLUS!THE COLORS ARE: Bold Orange, Crimson Red, Jet Black, Lunar Blue, Metallic Silver, or Rose Red color!5Responsive + useful accessoriesI have been looking for a comfortable, responsive, affordable stylus for about a year now. I wanted one that I could use on my iPad to draw, write notes and other basic uses. I have purchased several rubber tipped styles and found they skipped and became less effective over time. The really cheap ones broke easily and I found most of them to be too short. This stylus evades all these issues and offers a number of bonus extras - and at a Great price! I appreciate the longer length (it's the size of an actual pen which is more familiar in my hand) and the metal mesh tip glides smoothly over my iPads and iPhones screen protectors enabling me to use my DocS app and other notation/drawing apps. There were several accessories that came with it: a curly, stretchy lanyard reminiscent of an old school phone cord only uber tiny, a lobster claw clip on the end which let's me leave the lanyard with earphone jack plugged in while I remove and use the stylus. A lanyard extension allows me to use the stylus while it's still attached to the headphone jack. I love everything about this device and the thoughtful extras that come with it. ESPECIALLY for the price. I've been using it daily for about 2+ weeks now and find it to be of quality make and durable. It doesn't hurt that it comes in orange...I'm particularly fond of orange. It is a win, win, win, win purchase.5Love this stylusI started out using one of the little attachments, but have now ditched those and I just use the attached clip to hold the stylus onto my iPad cover. I LOVE this stylus. I'd never used one with the mesh tip and I love it even better than my old favorite rubber tip stylus. Highly recommend this one.Update: I snagged the tip of the stylus on something...probably one of my cat's claws or fangs because I remember wave the stylus like a toy with one of the cats one night. I thought I was pulling hair or something from the tip, but when I started having trouble getting my iPad to respond, I looked more closely at the tip. The mesh had broken down from being snagged. I still like this stylus enough that I ordered another one and will try to be more careful. I know there are some styli with retractable tips and would recommend that design for these styli to protect the mesh.If you are having trouble getting a response using the stylus, make sure your screen is clean. I'm using a 1st gen iPad so I would assume that the later generations have screens a little more sensitive. I can't imagine anyone having a problem using this stylus. Would have preferred it be a tiny bit longer, but it's better than many others out there, just shy of the size of a regular ball point pen.5Works great but wore out in 4 monthsThis was the best stylus we have ever used...BUT it didn't last more than 4 months. The wire mesh just got "softer" and "softer" and reached a point where it became unusable.I believe that we were among the first users of this new product and I expect more such reports will be forthcoming. It is quite expensive for a stylus - and it would be well worth the price given how well itfunctions when new BUT I CERTAINLY WOULD NOT PURCHASE THIS ITEM AT THIS PRICE ONLY TO HAVE TO REPLACE IT THREE TIMES A YEAR!For anyone doing due diligence before purchase, I would caution you not to be swayed by the glowing initial reviews which reflect initial performance and not durability.Yet again another product that needs to go back to the drawing board!1Best Stylus EVER!Rubber tipped styluses do ok when I take hand written notes or write in a journal on my iPad3; but they never flowed as pen & paper do. But this stylus flows as smoothly as pen on paper...maybe smoother. Now my handwriting on the iPad looks like my handwriting on paper. With rubber tipped styluses, there was never a good flow; it always looked like I was writing left handed (I'm write handed). It appears to be made extremely well. I've been using it for more than a month, and there's no sign of wear at all. A month isn't a long time, but there were comments in other reviews that it wore out after a few usages. Theirs may have; mine has not. The only negative: sometimes you have to press a little harder to push a "button" or link. Not sure why, since you barely have to touch the screen to write with it.Lastly, the length is stellar. Many styluses are barely long enough to fit in your hand. This one fits in my normal sized hand with about an inch extra. This is hands down the best stylus I've ever owned and is worth every penny!5Great stylus!I'm a little surprised nobody else has written a review about this stylus -- it's really good!I have the 3rd generation iPad and have been searching for a decent stylus without having much luck. Most styluses (styli?) have either a rubber or sponge-like tip. I've found the sponge tips to be far too squishy, not providing nearly enough resistance when pressed against the screen, requiring a lot of pressure to get a response. The more popular rubber tip gives a more natural feel by requiring less pressure (depending on the stylus you're using), but dragging rubber across glass creates friction and doesn't feel totally natural. I wasn't happy with either tip type and was looking for a different option when I found this one. The extremely reasonable price tag made it worth a try.The "fibermesh" tip feels far more natural than either the rubber or sponge tips, requiring much less pressure than either to get a response on the screen. Since it's a fiber tip, the stylus glides right along the glass and feels great. It's just as sturdy (if not moreso) than rubber and doesn't create any friction against the glass. If I had to compare it to a real writing implement, it feels somewhat similar to how a dry-erase pen feels on a whiteboard -- very smooth. On the downside, and a limitation that's inherent to all styluses, the tip is a bit blunt. It's the exact same shape as most rubber stylus tips to cover enough surface area at the contact point with the glass in order to register as a touch on the screen. It's not a particular fault of this stylus, but it certainly does not come close to the precision of a pen on paper. If you're expecting something like that, you're going to be disappointed with every stylus.Physically, this stylus is a little bit shorter in length and perhaps a smidge larger in diameter than a standard ballpoint pen. I have pretty large hands and have found other styluses to be too short. This one fits in my hands comfortably and feels no different from a pen from a physical standpoint. Included with the stylus are 3 different clips that attach to the end of the stylus: one short and one stretchy string that plug into a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack (like on an iPad or cell phone) and a standard loop, whose use I'm not certain of, but options are always appreciated. In sum, I've tried quite a few of these from the expensive to the cheapies and find this one to be the best of the bunch, regardless of price. If you're in the market for a stylus, look no further than this one. The affordable price makes it even more of a no-brainer.5
