It worked!!! Did not come with directions ...It worked!!! Did not come with directions as stated but programming was totally simple! I did the key on and off 8 times fairly quick and at first it did not work. So I hit the lock and unlock button on the door a few times then did the on and off with the key eight more times and that did the trick!! Hubby is thrilled!! 5looks exactly like the rest works like a charmI remember when these were three figure items. OH THAT'S RIGHT that's why I refused to replace mine.$5, looks exactly like the rest works like a charm, and the KEY: IT PROGRAMMED IMMEDIATELY WITHOUT AN ISSUE.Happy to be near the real world of driving again. Now I have to find a way to remove keys so I can be coollike all the new car owners. We're so lazy that we are willing to give up the security of our vehicles to have themall electronic. What a shame. Don't get 90 days back on your new car payments! They'll just shut them off and pick them up! 5Does very well at it's function!I most enjoy having an extra pair of these so I can remotely activate my truck's alarm whenever it most embarrasses my coworkers. It's even better that they do not know I have them. They now think that the truck has something wrong with it.The fobs coming in a pair is a real bonus as The boss knows what I am doing, and has the other fob so he can set off the alarm at random too.We also sometimes enjoy locking them out of the truck when they leave it running at the office. They believe we are expert car thieves. 5Don't buy a $60+ keyfib from a dealer; Get this!Bought this thinking it was just the plastic cover. Turned out to be a full blown replacement. One of these costs $60+ at a store around here.If you need a replacement don't buy one of those. Buy this! For instructions just do a quick google search on how to get this hooked up to your vehicle.Mine was for my 1999 Ford Explorer. To get it programmed:* Get in your car and shut the doors* Put the key in the ignition* Turn the key to accessories eight (8) times. (On, Off, On, Off, etc.)* Making sure to leave it to the on (accessory) position on the eighth (8th) turn* Your doors should all lock* Hit the unlock button on your new keyfib* Turn switch from the on (accessory) position to the off position* Your doors should lock/unlockand you're done! 5Worked for 2006 Ford Ranger, Then Stopped WorkingI followed the instructions to program for a 2006 Ford Ranger as follows: enter the vehicle, within 10 seconds turn the ignition to the accessory position on and off 8 times fast. On the 8th turn the vehicle unlocked and I pressed any button on the new key fob. The fob was now programmed. This fob worked for about 3-4 weeks and then stopped working. I've read other reviews on this product and others have had the similar issue. I was able to re-program, but this is still not how this product should function. 2Works, I'm shockedMy neighbor locksmith told me to order a remote online. I thought my remote, since it wasn't a standard one, meant my car had an aftermarket remote locking system. Apparently it didn't. This keyless remote programmed according to the online instructions in my 2001 Windstar, and now all the locks work remotely. Since this car has only two keyed entries--driver's door and rear gate, a keyless remote is especially useful.I only ordered one because I thought it would be a good idea to be sure it works before I ordered a second. It works. Enough said.I did have to print out the online instructions in order to correctly execute the training sequence for the remote in the car, but it did work, the first time... I should never have to do it again unless I lose the remote :-) (again.) 5It never worked, I could only use the plastic case to replace the one my broken Keyless Fub.I bough this as a back up (I already have 2) of my Remote, as one of them the plastic that holds to the key chain was about to brake.Today I finally had to use it and I went to my card to re programming all of them (even my old broken), the new one never worked. I checked the battery, I repeated the programming several times, only my 2 old keyless remote fobs worked.I should have test it the they I got it, so at least I would had get my money back. It's my fault as I trusted this seller. At the end, I'm using only the plastic cage from this faulty, damaged item, a very expensive $7 plastic. So don't get fooled, this product is not worth the $7 you pay for it. 1Super Easy To ProgramWhen the battery finally went out on my original key fob, I went to the dealer and they wanted $27 to replace the battery, so I figured I'd check to see how much these were on Amazon. The price sure was right, but I was a little leery about programming it. Never fear, the reprogramming instructions that come with the fob are incredibly simple. In fact, it took me less than 20-seconds to program the new fob. All you need is your key, the new fob (and your second working fobs you still want to use it as well). I hate to encourage the "just throw the old one away" mentality, but buying and reprogramming a new one is so easy and inexpensive compared to the absurd price from the dealer, I have to say, "just throw the old one away." 5Doesn't hold the programming.I bought these a few years ago and have constantly had to reprogram them until I finally just gave up. Thankfully I wasn't driving the Escape much, so just using the key was no big deal, but now that I'm driving it more, I need something that works. Maybe I got a bad batch, but they'd never work more than a couple of weeks and when I complained to the seller, they wouldn't refund/replace since I could just reprogram again. The only reason I'm leaving a review is because I had to look up what I'd bought previously to make sure I didn't get it again and thought I should warn others. Spend a few more $ and get something that will hold it's programming. 1Great deal!I bought a used truck and one remote worked but the keyring hole was broken and the other remote was intact but didn't work. I found these replacements and am happy with them. Great price, simple directions and now, I don't have to fumble with the door key. One note of warning - be careful you get the right website address. I accidentally chose the wrong one and it was a phishing website that said "YOU'VE WON!" If you get that website, just back out and find the right one. 5
