Applying it is quite a feat (detailed instructions...)Finally figured out the tricks after 2 failed installations. I have to say the rather generic video on Youtube is not very helpful as it misses the salient points. I've installed screen protectors aplenty and this was by far the hardest (owing largely to the shape of the Pebble and lack of more explicit instructions). Here's what worked for me, good luck:*) As with any screen protector application, go to your "clean room." If you don't have one: take an air filter fan, turn it on low, and work under the air stream from it. (I'm not even kidding, this is exactly what I do when installing).*) For what it's worth, I cut out one of the protectors on its paper backing and tried to bend and roll it to match the curve of the Pebble before applying. Not sure it helped much, but worth a try.*) You should probably do this in the evening because when you are done you should leave the watch and its protector to "cure" overnight. Don't screw up all this work by running around with it as soon as you're done.1) It will make your job much easier if you start by removing the watch band from the Pebble. Find a YouTube video on this because there is a trick to it (I confess I used the metal "spatula" from this handy set Professional Opening Pry Tool Repair Kit with Non-Abrasive Nylon Spudgers and Anti-Static Tweezers, 8 Piece Set b/c I'm uncomfortable taking a knife to electronics).2) Wipe down the Pebble face with the included spray and (any) microfiber cloth--DON'T use some other screen cleaner you might have laying around as it might leave residue.3) Follow the generic instructions: a) Spray your hands b) Spray the face of the protector c) Peel an edge and spray the protector back as you peel it off (less stretching this way). d) Apply the protector to the Pebble (back side down obviously) and slide it roughly into place e) *Gently* squeegee out some of the excess spray (don't stress about trying to remove every trace of moisture or you will wipe the protector right off the watch) f) I'm going to assume your clean-room fanaticism prevented dust from getting under the face...4) *Gently* slide the protector into *precise* position: make sure it is even vertically and that all 4 tabs are centered horizontally over the watch tabs. Manhandling at this point usually results in the corner tabs warping and prying the protector off the face of the Pebble. *) NOTE: the corner tabs will NOT be stuck down at this point, they just hover disconcertingly in midair.5) Here's the key point of failure so I'm going to describe this step in painful detail: a) As the liquid dries you need to periodically--once every 30 seconds or so--ever-so-gently brush the corner tabs down onto the watch. At some point you will have a short window where instead of just springing back up, the tabs become tacky enough to stick onto the watch. Wait too long and the tackiness is gone. I'm guessing this window lasts around 1 minute. b) When I say "ever-so-gently" I literally mean "petting-a-butterfly's-wings-gently." Just enough pressure to push the tab down so it makes contact with the watch. Anything harder than that and you get a warp between the tab and the rest of the protector. c) You are *not* trying to SQUISH the tabs down onto the watch. You are *not* trying to HOLD the tabs down until they dry. Just brush each of them in turn until the "tackiness window" occurs. d) Suddenly and unexpectedly your tabs will stick to the watch during one of these butterfly massages. Calmly and with only slightly more pressure than before, pat the tabs down onto the watch. There should be no white film under the tabs at this point. (There are often white blobs of film on the top of the protector at this point, but don't worry about those and don't try to wipe them off right now).6) Right about this time, you may notice a line of white film along the top and bottom edges of the protector (on the main watch face, not the tabs). This is the moment to gently run your finger along the top and bottom edge to adhere that tiny sliver of the protector onto the watch face. The white lines go away and you are done.7) Set the watch aside somewhere overnight. If you have nerves of steel, you can wipe off any blobs of white film on the front of the protector now. I waited until the next day and just sprayed the thing with regular screen cleaner and microfiber cloth.Haven't had it for long but the material seems good and has stayed on nicely.4Great Product that I would Purchase Again! This is a great product for your Pebble Classic. If you are like me, you don't want to have a bunch of scratches on your watch face. I already have one scratch on the left side of the watch face just above the button. After that first scratch I decided that I better get something to protect it. The ArmorSuit Military Shield is very easy to install. It is very clear and you can't even tell that it's there. I have been wearing my watch 24/7 for the past three weeks with the shield installed, and it is holding up very well so. I would definitely purchase this again for my Pebble watch.5Great screen protectorGoes on smoothly, although had a bit of difficulty getting it down due to the curved nature of the screen. I found that I had the best luck by getting the screen protector where I wanted it to be, then letting it sit for just a little and then gently using the smoother to get the bubbles out, rather than trying to do it all at once. Also, you do get 2 screen protectors in here just in case you screw up the first one. I have no issues with glare, blurring, or pulling from the tabs that stick out.5Ends needed to be trimmed so it would fit.The item was not an exact fit. The four corner segments had to be shortened, otherwise they would have not adhered to the watch body. I trimmed the four segments while it was still wet. I let the shield dry overnight and it set without any air bubbles. If it had fit without trimming, I would have rated it five stars instead. Another plus: you get two shields in the box since the manufacturer assumes you'll screw up the first one.4I didn't follow directions.I did not apply this wet. I have had much better luck with dry applications. Once I learned how to install a protector dry with no bubbles and dust, I never looked back. This protector is not a hard shell surface, it stays a little soft. Normally, one would think that's a bad idea, but it's very tough, and almost impossible to scratch. I had a cover like this for an iPad once, and it was the best I've ever had. (I'd have bought another, but I forgot the brand!) All the hard surface ones will eventually get a scratch, and this one resists very well. Now that I know the brand again, this is what I'll always buy.Edit: 6/18/15 - I've had this on the Pebble for three weeks and with daily wear and there is no sign of a scratch anywhere. Still attached and no peeling.5Pretty good once applied.Works good on Pebble. I wish it was not cut so precise. No wiggle room when positioning. Also this Pebble type has the four corner tabs in an attempt to cover the entire watch top. I think the tabs are too long. Could not get them to lay down all the way. Easily trimmed back with scissors though. Now it sits flat and fine. As far as dust specks getting under the thing. Unless you are in a "clean" room it does happen. Advise applying, positioning, let dry 5 to 10 minutes, then if there is any dirt particles under the screen you can peel up that half or corner and use the spray and wipe it away and put it back down. Stuff is pretty forgiving as long as you don't crease it. That way the thing stays positioned as you go after dust or dirt particles.4Great Protection If It would Ever Stay On I went through 6 screen protectors and all of them had the same issue. The narrow corner strips would always come up. I even tried installing it exactly how the instructions say, then applied a heat gun on it (at a low temp) to help get rid of moisture, but within a few weeks it would always peel up. 2Doesn't lay flat - "tails" stick up and need tailoring.I've used ArmorSuit covers on a Fitbit with good results, but this one for the Pebble is less than optimal. Because the screen of the Pebble is curved and the ArmorSuit material is slightly rigid, the 4 "tails" on either side of the screen where the strap attaches, don't lay flat at their ends. Instead, they stick up a bit and even when you've pushed out the liquid they don't lay flat. I needed to cut off about 2/3 of the tails, then re-position as possible. The material for these protectors are pretty good once cured, too bad this one just doesn't flatten out well to conform to the surface.3It came with a spray bottle of application fluid, ...It came with a spray bottle of application fluid, a cleaning rag, and a squeegee which made the install work first time. There were actually two shields in the box so if the first one grimes up or something, I can just slap a new one on.I was worried about the tabs on the corners but after a week of use they are still properly stuck in place. My only complaint is that shield seems a little bit wide, which means a very small amount of the shield material sticks over the side, making a sharp edge that may eventually capture dust. We shall see.4- don't try and fold down the "wings" of the protector until it has dried and stuck nicely to the face of your PebbleSo very few products do exactly what they advertise and do it very well. This does both, If you take you time with it its an absolutely fabulous product that you wont even know is there apart from the fact that your Pebble stays in tip-top condition. Also, you get two in the box so this will last you a very long time.Top tip:- don't try and fold down the "wings" of the protector until it has dried and stuck nicely to the face of your Pebble, once it has fold them down for a perfect, seamless fit.PROSDoes exactly what it says it will, protects your Pebble and is all but invisible.CONSNone5Lasted About Four Days.I have had this screen protector on for about four days. Initially it looked great. It was glossy, shiny and made my pebble watch look brand new.. Four days later the four corners have now peeled up and I have some very visible scratches. Not a good long term screen protector if you need something that will last more than a couple of days.**UPDATE** I found another screen protector from Skinomi that ROCKS! No peeled corners and went on super easy. It's certainly an option for those of you who are having problems with this protector.1
