Worth the money ... you get what you pay for ..... Yes, its expensive ..... but worth the money ....... it is well constructed; almost over-kill ....I have two mounted on either side of the MDF platform I placed on my On-Stage Z stand ....... one holds my MacBook Air (it will not hold an old-school 17" heater) ..... and the other alternates between holding my iPad Air 2 or any one of my KORG VOLCA's ......... it will also hold my KORG MonoTribe easily ......The joint clamps are strong enough and able to be tightened enough do as not to let the mount 'droop' when weight is placed on the surface ...... again, it is well built ......The mounting surface is adjustable to any angle and you have the option of tightening it down in any angle so that it wont move ..... or leave it a bit loose so that you can manually turn your laptop or synth side-to-side while on the arm ....This single arm version put both my laptop and iPad in-my-face while attached to my Z stand ......the dual arm version would have been way too much length and would have had to be mounted to the back of the Z stand for it to have worked out ......I like it ..... and, if needed, I would by it again ..... 5Fantastic! I use this to hold my iPad mini Fantastic! I use this to hold my iPad mini. I typically use it on my sound cart. My wife has one that she uses on her easel for painting. Very sturdy. Stays exactly where you put it. My only complaint is that the clamp doesn't like every surface. If it's a flat, thin surface (sheet metal), it likes to fall over. Works best on square or round poles. 5Run the other way. This mount has inferior plastic ... Run the other way. This mount has inferior plastic at critical stress points... Which broke after 3 days of use. I glued this broken piece with construction adhesive. Will see how it turns out before deciding to return . the clamp is ridiculous in design also. I will never buy anything from this Chinese name again. They say heavy duty and it is everything but. A chain is only as strong as its weakest link.... This dumpster-stock product has two. 1Great I bought this to hold my Nexus 7 tablet to my camera's tripod. I bought DSLR remote beta and am using it with My Nexus 7 and my Canon 7D. This little mount is absolutely fantastic. Works like a dream. If you are looking for something to mount your tablet to a tripod this is it.The build is great. I'm sure there are other uses but I was looking for something to mount my tablet to my tripod. Definitely would recommend.Pros: great build...seems very sturdy.Cons: none at the moment. 5Arkon iPad Tablet Mount This is a well designed, very sturdy unit, and you can confidently support an iPad with it. The range of angles and the height are limited, so make sure you need this particular model for your application, since there are others for higher display. But for its purpose, it is superb. 5Arkon C-Clamp Tablet Mount is Great! This product is very well made, and I would say it is commercial quality. I use it to hold Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and a 7.0 tablets, and it works perfectly: it holds both tablets very securely. I did rough up the internal surfaces of the two ball joint grippers, which are metal, at each end of the 10 in. connecting arm with 120 grit sand paper to reduce slippage and increase rigidity (I need to push on the screen to control the iCardio app I use during workouts). The Arkon tablet mount is mounted to the console of my elliptical trainer, and the tablet shows how the workout is progressing. The holder positions the tablet above the elliptical's console such that it is not blocked, so I have now have two 'consoles' to monitor and control the workouts. The elliptical's console has a slightly slanted bottom surface (not parallel to the top surface), and the holder's c-clamp could not maintain the holder's position using the tightening pressure I was comfortable trying. I solved that issue by applying contact cement to the c-clamp surfaces and to the corresponding elliptical console surfaces, and that additional grip holds the mount and tablet securely. The c-clamp that came with my holder had a 42 mm maximum opening (1.65 inches, about 1- 21/32 inches), just enough to fit my elliptical, a Cardio-Zone model. I'd recommend this tablet mount to anyone with similar needs. Arkon has other models with wider c-clamp openings if your situation requires that. 5WORTH EVERY PENNY! I NEVER write reviews even tho I should bc I'm a heavy shopper. But this? EARNED IT!Its main purpose is attaching to the front/leg of my wheelchair and propping straight up to support my sm-t700 which has an 8.4 in screen. This is used to hold the screen while hubby types on a bluetooth keyboard bc I'm deaf and vision impaired so I can only read limited space and not sign language. THIS IS PERFECT theres 2 sets of four L hooks that slide onto the screen holder. They stay snug in place. My tablet is a little smaller but it fits just fine in landscape. It doesnt fit within all four hooks in portrait but still possible to set it that way. I just, either, tilt the holder a tad more so that gravity just allows the tablet to sit along bottom edge and leane against the outside front edge of top hooks. Or u can just remove the top hooks entirely and it simply props up ur device.THIS THING IS STRONGive tried other tablet holders but the bending arms just dont cut it or they are not stable/securely attach to a chair or desk. This fits both very securly with a c clamp and both end of the 10 in bar are very versitile to be able to put it at ANY angle.Building materials used are def heavy duty! And I plan to buy a few more. One to attach to a bedrail to hold tablet up in bed and another will hold my syringe for gravity feeds in my g tube. I'm becoming weak in my left arm so its hard to hold tablet or syringe long. Please feel free to msg me if have any questions or want more info as to how I make this work so well :)UPDATE: 6-2-2016after enough time with both the 10inch and 22 inch arm, still a great item! i just order a third arm, 10 in model, bc i use one 10 in to hold my syringe up high on a pole /shelf to assist in gravity feedings of my feeding tube. this second 10 in arm will go under it down same pole/shelf so it can hold my tablet up while i eat. i use the 22in arm to hold tablet on wheelchair. fyi...you have the set width to hold tablet but i found out that you can also pull/stretch apart the L hooks. at rest, it will not hold the height of my nexus 6 phone. the phone would seem to 'tall' to fit. however i stretch the L hooks farther and it will in fact hold my nexus 6 phone in place securely. you may need to either use all four large L brackets to get the biggest width, all four small or a combo 2 big and 2 small to make your device fit snuggly.A Flaw that ive solved easy:I RECALL READING A FEW COMPLAINTS ABT THE ARM NOOT STAYING IN PLACE, THE VERY END WILL SPIN AND SWAY EASY AND DOESNT SCREW BACK TIGHTLY AFTER A LOT OF USEi took the end apart, theres a screw to help it spin loose or spin tighter. that screw is to short! went to lowes, got a screw twice as long that fits and havnt had the problem again! u can spin it either way but bc the screw is longer, its able to 'tighten up' better so if u have that loose spinning issue? get a new screw! ur welcome lol 5but SO HAPPY that I did Hesitant to purchase at first, but SO HAPPY that I did!! Holds my Samsung 12.2 tablet perfectly on my treadmill. Holds firmly and it's fully adjustable. I highly recommend this top quality tablet mount! This has made my treadmill experience fun - watching movies and loving life!!!! Many thanks to this mfg. for designing this fabulous tablet holder!! 5Fits iPad 2 and iPad mini, with or without case Have you ever been reading yourself a book in bed while falling asleep and dropped the book on yourself? This is even less fun with an iPad 2. :-)I'm using this stand to hold my iPad in the above situation, and it holds it steady where I want it. My iPad stays in its otterbox, and the stand holds it fine, even overnight while I am sleeping. Happy enough with it that I bought the 22" version for my wife, who has an iPad mini. One of the reasons I'm posting this review is because another poster mentioned it wouldn't hold the mini. It's understandable he would think so, because if you held the mini up to the clamp, it looks like one end is too big and the other too small. However, the clamp has a hidden spring, and if you pull it open and slip the mini in, it'll hold it just fine. 4Versatile and truly heavy duty! I bought this clamp to mount an iPad on the console of my treadmill, so I can watch Netflix while I walk. My iPad is third generation, so it's quite heavy, and it's also in a rather bulky fold-over case. I figured: even if this clamp was really strong enough to hold my iPad (at roughly the same angle as the product picture), I would probably have to remove the iPad case every time I used it. But these adjustable clamps are so universal; they grip the iPad quite securely, even with the soft-sided notebook-style case. And it's obvious from the design that this clamp will work with virtually any size device, from a smartphone to the the largest size tablet. Well worth the price! 5
