Not useful for my application. Kids bikes, my MTB handle bars or stroller.Bought this to use as a quick release mount for my kids bikes or mount to the stroller. Using this as a quick release will not work. IT IS VERY TIGHT AND HARD TO TIGHTEN DOWN AND THEN REMOVE. This is made for really large mounting options. It also spins around the handle bars. Normally Arkon makes really good accessories and that is why i went with them. This however is not.1Don't buy it.Problem with the item, it sat around and i finally used it once for 2 hours on my handle bars, it bounced around alot but that wasn't the worst problem. Yes it's tight as others have said, but if you take it on and off maybe 6 times it wears out the tiny plastic fin that keeps the grip in place. Poor engineering.1Doesn't work for my NeedsHate It! I was looking for a quick on/off mount for my bicycle because I park outside in downtown Chicago during work days.I don't consider myself weak but I am not strong enough to get this mount tight on my handlebars and to take it off I need an 'Act of God'. I understand that to work it needs to be strong but this just is not what I needed.2works great on motorcycle forks and has a nice size loopworks great on motorcycle forks and has a nice size loop... seems pretty rugged too, I've taken it off many of times and it hasn't shown any wear yet... thumbs up from me!5Small, Simple, and SecureI looked at a lot of handlebar mounts for my GoPro. This one was by far the simplest. Most other mounts I saw were overly complex, and didn't offer as secure a mount. It's also the smallest and lightest mount I found... which matters if you have limited space for gear.4Worked as designed, may not work as well for a Recumbent Trike.Discovered that 2 different 3rd party accessories for a GoPro camera do not always line up properly ( holes were just a tad (technical term) off) easily fixed by running a drill bit through each so the screw fit snugly. Also discovered the handle bar mounting bracket does not accommodate a smaller handle bar found on a recumbent trike (ICE Adventure). Had to use some ingenuity to get it secure. Worked as designed except for vibrations, shifted when a camera was mounted. Need o work on this, I will get it to work.4... bars and the extra slack of the strap is annoying. They need to add some type of loop ... Doesn't get tight enough on my bars and the extra slack of the strap is annoying. They need to add some type of loop (like a watch band has) to keep the slack in place. 1Poor Design or "Machining" Ruins It.Because this item must be used with half of the GoPro camera bracket, it is very important that it fits it well. It does NOT fit. The "fins" that mesh with those on the bracket are too thick, distorting it. When assembled, the mount's holes do not line up with those of the bracket when it is inserted as far as it can go. Together, these defects make it impossible simply to insert the mounting post that joins them; the misalignment makes the post fight against the holes. This, in turn, makes it impossible for the post to line up with the nut on the other end.I decided I was NOT going to modify the GoPro bracket to try to make it adapt to the mount, so I had to try modifying the mount first by drilling its holes out to 15/64". Even this wasn't enough; the edge of the fins closest to the bracket would have to be filed down. Because the nut sits in a hexagonal "well," one cannot turn it freely to screw the post into it. It now appears that I should NOT have drilled out the bracket's holes, but should have filed down the outer edge and filed off the well that is there to keep the nut from turning and falling off. Also, it would help to file down the mount's fins by a very small amount, keeping their faces parallel and not taking off too much. However, shaping these parts to fit the GoPro bracket should have been done by the manufacturer; nor should the customer have to modify the GoPro bracket so that it fit this mount, but probably no longer fit the other GoPro parts.Putting the mount on was not easy, but it was doable. Taking it off is another story. The first and only time taking it off rubbed off some of the rubber or plastic interface on the inside of the mount where it contacts the handlebar.1... use this on my personal watercraft and it works great!! This thing holds up to the modified ...I use this on my personal watercraft and it works great!! This thing holds up to the modified speeds of my ski and takes a pounding when the surf is rough and hangs tight. if you don't want a to use those sticky mounts this is a great alternative. I have it mounted on my handlebars on the inside grip area.5It's fine. It's not all I thought it would be. It's extremely hard to tighten and it never really becomes super secure. Getting it off the bike is a nightmare too. I use it for a headlight and it does the job, just expected more. It did stay surprisingly sturdy for a headlight, not sure about videoing though.3Does not work on my Diamondback 27.5 Sorrento handlebarHad to return because it did not fit my Diamondback 27.5 Sorrento handlebar because even at its tightest position, it would not stay secure to the handlebar. That's unfortunate because it is made of good quality and would have served my GoPro video needs very well so I will start to look for another type and brand which will.4
