Customer Reviews

Ok for what it isThis is fine as long as you know what you're getting. This is NOT as realistic as higher-grade luxury vinyl. If you want wood-like flooring, this ok. If you want flooring that looks like wood, upgrade to a higher grade vinyl. Achim sells a "Sterling" collection which is not only more realistic in appearance, but is environmental safety compliant. The cost difference is minimal, so I'd unreservedly recommend the Sterling collection for both health and aesthetic reasons. I returned this flooring and went for the Achim Sterling in the Driftwood color, and I couldn't be happier. 3AMAZING transformation!!These floors are great!! I uploaded some pictures of our leftover planks for reference. The planks are all the same color, the lighting just wasn't the best. There is a "grain" to the flooring, but the backing you pull off before laying them down has arrows indicating which direction to install them. They have a nice wood-like texture to them, and aren't like those cheap laminate floors that look like a picture was just printed on them. I don't think any of the 10 planks have the same pattern, and I don't think the boxes had the same pattern either (although I'm not 100% positive). If there is a repetition in the pattern it's not noticeable when installed. We purchased two boxes (to cover old flooring in a camper) and mixed the two boxes together before installing (just like you'd do when installing any flooring/tile that is from more than one box) and the floor looks amazing now! The planks are very durable, flexible (great for floors that aren't perfectly level), have a nice thickness to them (2mm), have a great adhesive (some reviewers said they used more adhesive, but we did not find it necessary), are commercial grade quality (great for family of 6), and are easy to install (no prep work, just a clean surface). Cutting through the durable material was actually the most difficult part of installing this flooring. We followed the directions for cutting (utility knife and straight edge) and didn't have too much trouble. We're extremely happy with our floors, and would most certainly purchase them again!! 5Nice, inexpensive flooring fix.I needed an inexpensive fix for the ugly linoleum in my bathroom in order to ready my house for sale, so I decided to give these vinyl planks a try. I removed the baseboards, scrubbed my existing linoleum, and applied the vinyl planks right onto the linoleum. They adhered well, and the floor looks great. The vinyl was easy to cut, but be sure to use a sharp blade. I used a metal ruler to measure and mark my lines and used the straight edge for my cuts. You don't even have to cut all the way through for straight cuts...just score with the blade and snap the vinyl off. Curved cuts, like around the toilet, require more effort, but just go slowly. And, don't forget to stagger your planks. I recommend using the fingertips of one hand to hold the edge of the planks while peeling off the paper backing to reduce the amount of glue on your hands. It's very, very sticky. I periodically "washed" my hands with hand lotion and a hand towel to keep from getting glue on the top of the planks as I pressed them into place. 5Challenging but love them :)I bought these to cover all the 16 year old linoleum in my house. Turned out to be a bit harder than I thought it would be, though that's not the fault of this product. I just had to cut to fit a lot of doors, some angled, and I found that challenging to say the least lol. Made it work and they look great! In the open areas it was a breeze to take the paper off and put them down one right after the other. I will say Goo Gone became my best friend while laying these since I kept getting the adhesive on my fingers. Very sticky which is a good thing! Also put some on the wall in my bathroom, though a couple fell off (gravity, moisture, paint?) so I took brass upholstery tacks and put one on each side of each plank and it looks great in there also. They look very nice, wood like. Adding some pics. Wasn't done totally with the kitchen yet when I took that pic and the bathroom pic is before I put the tacks in. Happy DIYer here :) 5Outstanding Product!Ordered almost 400 square feet of this product. Hard to believe you can order that much flooring and have it delivered free (if you're a Prime member). My little Post Office freaked out. "Are we glad to see you!" they exclaimed when I walked in four (4!) days after I put the order through. In your hands, it's obvious it's not wood. But once it's on the floor, unless you're on your hands and knees, you'd swear you're walking on a real wood plank floor. No kidding. Better than laminate and much easier to install. No complaints here. I'll be ordering more to do another room.**UPDATE, 10/19**We just got finished putting down most of the 400 square feet and so far it's been a breeze. I read a review earlier about the planks not being sticky enough. Perhaps the customer got a bad batch; these suckers have MORE than enough glue on them! Out of the 26 packages we ordered, I'd say no than half a pack went to spoilage. So take that into consideration before you place your order. This flooring is simply amazing. I saw a very similar product at Lowe's the other day. They were charging $54.99 for 30 square feet. The Tivoli flooring was (when I ordered it) around $22.00 for 15 square feet. I see today it's a couple of bucks cheaper. The Lowe's product is NOT commercial grade and it is noticeably thinner than the commercial-grade Tivoli.**UPDATE, 11/14**So far, the floor is still looking like new. We have a lot traffic in our living room and kitchen, including three dogs (two small Yorkies and an overweight chocolate Lab), children, in-laws, and a wheelchair. A word of advice regarding cleaning and maintenance: sweep often, or vacuum. If you get a minor scuff, don't panic. A little WD40 will remove the scuff. For cleaning, we tried a number of products and they all left a slightly sticky film. We finally found the perfect cleaning solution: Armstrong Multi Surface Floor Cleaner. We spray it on the floor, then use a Rubbermaid Reveal mop to wipe it up. 5Retired contractors take.As a retired contractor ,this is the worst material l have ever used. I put it down over sheet linoaleum in my motorhome ( striped, sanded and cleaned with tsp ) . Not. One peace stuck bown properly. After putting bown about 30 pieces it looked so bad I pealed them all off, thay came off very easy and left no adhesive residue on the floor at all. The over all look of the material was terrible. 1Five stars.Great flooring for the price. I will buy it again and suggest it to all my friends and neighbors as to it's quality and ease of installation. 5they look a little funky but I LOVE this flooring over my icky military white tile that ...We live in a hospital white apartment and that just wasn't going to work for me, so I decided to tackle the kitchen as my first focus. I was concerned at first because I had to cut quite a few pieces to make it fit my hospital-sequel military housing. I was equally concerned because some flats had more adhesive than others. Then the adventure started. The directions on the box say to do some weird chalk whacking and start in the center. I tried that and ended up with crooked flooring and had to rip up nearly the entire room and broke a flat in the process. Luckily I had purchased extra, so I started again in the corner of the room and just cut the beginning of every other row with a combination of a box cutter and some scissors. Very professional, I know. If you zoom in closely to the edges, they look a little funky but I LOVE this flooring over my icky military white tile that still remains in the rest of the house. All in all, I ended up with just one small "hole" but thankfully it's right next to the oven and I have a mat there anyway. :) I do plan on removing this when we leave, so I have a thin tablecloth cover under the center tiles for easier assist. Would recommend. 4These planks were EXACTLY what I was looking for as ...These planks were EXACTLY what I was looking for as far as color, thickness, etc. I'm putting them on top of a white base for a DIY coffee table project I'm working on. HOWEVER.....The reason I'm giving only 3 stars (because they're practically perfect), is because the package and the site says there should be 10 in there...There were 6. I made sure that I wasn't miscalculating or anything too. Nope, still only 6 in the package. Now, these comes to a little more than $2/plank right? So I basically paid $22 for 6 planks when I should have only paid about 12-13. Did anyone else run into this issue? Luckily, I only needed 5, but if I wanted to use the other 4, I couldn't...because I don't have them. 3Looks great and easy to install.I was very pleased with the flooring. I did a 16' x 16' bed room. I only had one strip that had any issues. It stuck very well to my clean concrete floor. The floor looks so much like wood, someone would have to get on their knees and peel it up to confirm it isn't wood. It was very easy to work with and put down. 5
