Customer Reviews

A nice case All the cut outs fit my GTab 10.1 P7510 perfectly. The material (not sure if it's real hide) feels nice for an inexpensive case. The version I received has only 2 grooves, not 3 as pictured, which is just fine.I use my GTab mostly to watch movies that I store on USB thumb drives. The USB adopter and drives cannot be connected to the tab when using this case as a stand, but I already knew that when making this purchase. When reading or surfing, I find it lighter and easier to hold a naked GTab. This case just adds weight and bulk. For me, this case is only good as a stand for watching Netflix and movies loaded to the GTab, and as a protective case when traveling. It isn't perfect for me but it does its job as advertised, so I am not knocking a star off of it.What I am taking a star off is the shipping and handling cost. As well publicized in the retail industry, the "handling" portion of the S&H contributes remarkable margins to a seller's profit. Since this case is sold by a 3rd party, Amazon's free shipping isn't available as an option. The usual S&H for an item like this from a 3rd party ranges from $4.50 to $9.50. That's 25% to 50% added to the advertised price at check out. Keep that in mind when price is a shopping criterion. The shipping time was remarkably fast for a 3rd party. Mine only took 4 calendar days; ordered on Fri and received it on Tue. Kudos to CTCStore. All in all this is a nice case for $24 shipped. I would buy Acase products from CTCStore again. 4Just Right! Sort of like Goldilocks, I went through several cases before finding this one. One was to fat, one was too thin, and this one's just right. I wanted a slim case, leather, which was sturdy enough to protect my GTab in my carryon bag. Finally found it. I like it well enough that I removed the screen protector from my tablet because this cover protects it more than adequately. Stays closed when I want it closed, too. Only shortcoming is that there isn't an opening to charge when it's completely closed. Not a big deal for me since I usually charge overnight. Vipertek makes one that does have a charger opening but it only comes in black (yawn) so this one won out. Definitely like this shade of red; not flashy at all. Highly recommend! 5Durable and well-crafted I bought this case in August of 2011 when I originally purchased my Galaxy Tab, mostly based on Amazon reviews. Nearly 5 months later, the case is still going strong despite going nearly everywhere with me in that time. The leather exterior still looks great, the stitching hasn't started to fray, and the tablet still stays snugly in place. Really easy to get the tab in and out of the case and the stand feature offers three different viewing angles. The case does add a bit of thickness to the tablet but not much weight, and the padding provides a bit of extra shock resistance and insulation while still looking professional. The only drawback I've found so far is that the cover converts fingerprint smudges into three horizontal lines across the screen, due to the stand grooves on the inside of the cover. The material on the inside also tends to attract dust and then transfer it to the screen. Cleaning the screen takes care of the problem, but it's not always practical to have cleaner with you at all times. As mentioned in other reviews, the case cannot be closed while charging or synching the tablet. Holding the tablet in portrait orientation or trying to place it flat on a tabletop with the case on can also be a bit awkward sometimes. However, the quality construction well outweighs any disadvantages. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an affordable means to give their tab a bit of extra protection. 4Wow, this is an elegant case! Just bought this case based on the reviews on Amazon, and boy am I glad! The case is a little thicker than I expected (after reading all the reviews here about how thin it is), but even then, when closed, I think my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 with case is still thinner than the Motorola Xoom or the Asus Transformer. That says a lot about both the tablet and the case! The design and quality of the leather is truly top notch. It makes me feel like $1M dollars holding the tablet now in this case. One of the things I LOVE the most about the case (and the reason I got it) is the 3 viewing angle setting. At the lowest setting, you can easily type on it. The middle and highest setting are great for reading on a desk or in bed. What a great design! As someone who sometimes holds the tablet in bed while reading, I love how easy it is to slide the tablet out of the case so it's thinner and lighter. Yet you can also keep it in the cover for easier gripping (though it does add a little more weight if you're holding it for a long time.I wanted three things out of a tablet case, and they were:1. Thin and light, and serves as a carrying case2. Have good ways of propping it up for different viewing angles3. Easy to get in and out of (since the tablet is so thin, it would be a shame if I kept it in the case all the time and didn't enjoy the thickness and weight better)This case satisfies all three perfectly! 5great case This case is not what I expected, but it actually is very nice. The case is very hard so it will protect the galaxy tab well. It is also a perfect fit for it. When the tablet needs to be put as a stand it requires that the bottom two ends are removed from the case, or unattached. It is easy to do,so it is not a problem to do it often. The only downside to this case is that it does not protect the edges everywhere since there are only a few places where the tablet is held. But as a whole it is protected well. I wonder if the leather is genuine, it doesn't say on the inside. It looks like it is, but it just could be a good imitation. One downside is also that you cannot charge it while closed in the case. They should have made a hole there. Anyway....For the price, I think it is worth it. :-) 5Thoughtful case, build quality could be better I just got this case for my brand new Galaxy Tab that I am using to type this review. I chose this case because I liked the slim design for a case capable of tilting the tablet for watching movies or typing. Some cases use three layers of material to achieve the same goal, but this case ingeniously overcomes that limitation to remain thin with two layers. The interior seems soft and the outside is leather. The notches to enable tilting seem pretty shallow so the tablet may fall over on a bumpy plane ride, but I can't say that for sure. My only disappointment with the case so far is the build quality. The stiching is not straight in a lot of places on this case and some of the margins are not uniform, but this is mostly an asthetic problem. For this price, the build quality should be better. 4Great replacement I was leery about aftermarket replacement screens, especially being so inexpensive, but this one fit perfectly, and was straightforward to install. It came with the self-adhesive backing, which made life a lot easier. Sensitivity and feel appear to be identical to the original, although, since I had a broken screen, it was hard to do an A-B test.No instructions or tools are included, so just search online for videos. Tip: use Good-Off to get the old adhesive off from the broken screen. That's what took the lion's share of the repair for me.This repair is not for the light-hearted. Also note that some early Galaxy Tab 10.1's have two small 3-slotted screws near the charge port, behind two small knockout plugs. Other units apparently do not, and the videos were for devices W/O the screws. I almost broke the frame until I realized mine had screws. After removing, everything when smoothly.Good luck! 5I really love this one. I am using this case with the wifi-only Galaxy Tab 10.1 and the case fits perfectly. I always shied away from getting a case with a covered front because they were usually too heavy and awkward. Based on the great reviews of this one, I thought I'd take a chance on it and I'm glad I did. The case is actually lighter than the neoprene case I used to use that only wrapped around the back. There are 3 positions in which you can set the bottom portion of the tablet in landscape mode:Position 1 (back slot): Puts the tablet in an almost vertical position. Good for watching movies but not very ergonomic for interacting with the tabletPosition 2 (middle slot): This is my favorite one and I use it about 99% of the time. It is perfectly balanced with the base such that it is stable even on your lap. The slight angle upward makes the screen easy to view and to interact with (tapping and dragging are easy). On a table, it's very sturdy and still provides a nice viewing angle.Position 3 (front slot): I use it when I'm curled up on the sofa and I want to use the tablet in the mostly flat position with just a little bit of an angle.A couple of additional notes:*The front flap on this will fold backwards completely and align flush with the back portion. I have found this very convenient when using the tablet in a narrow space, like a book ledge on an exercise bike. I like the fact that I don't have to take it out of the case completely. It also makes the tablet easier to hold.*There is no front protection for the screen when the flap is open. I'd recommend Ghost Armor (or something similar) if you want protection for the screen while the case is open. All in all, I am impressed with the fact that they could make a case this light that still has a professional look to it (the leather is quite nice). I actually bought another one these for someone after they saw mine and just had to have one. Highly recommended. 5Works great but not 100% compatible with the Verizon LTE version of 10.1 There is a reason that some state it's compatible with the 10.1 Galaxy Tab and others that state it is not! The Verizon LTE version of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 is slightly different from what I understand. I have the LTE version of the 10.1 and the "clips" that hold the device into the case definitely interfere with the volume UP button/rocker! I have re-bent the "clips" on the case as a work-around to solve the issue but it's not 100% perfect. Sometimes when I'm holding the tab the volume is pushed and the volume goes up. Also, in order for me to turn the volume up I need to squeeze the tab/clip on the case to work the volume up button. Not a huge deal for me as the case is THAT NICE! Although, I could see how this would annoy some of you out there. I use the 10.1 and this case with no issue on the bus to and from work each day as well as another 2-3 hours a day and it does not hinder me from doing what I need. I only use the volume for listening to music so I'm not really adjusting the volume but a few times a day to be honest.Love the case...best one that I had found for a reasonable price! 4Perfect Case For The Galaxy Tab.... I have had my Samsung Galaxy Tab since it was released and have tried several covers for the unit before buying the Acase model. This case will be the last one I buy since it does everything I need and is very durable. What I like most about the Acase is the easy way you attach it to the tablet. Unlike a lot of the other cases that required you to slide the table into a slot, this unit has 6 "fingers" that hold the tablet in place. This not only makes attaching it easier, it also means you can see more of the screen. Most of the other cases had a band of material around the front of the tablet that blocked a portion of the screen. I also like that the unit can be used in both positions and provide a wide range of support for watching movies or typing. The exterior is a soft material that looks great and wears well and the interior is covered in a soft felt-like material to protect your investment. I travel a lot with work and the Acase allows me to setup the tablet on the edge of the tray on the planes and slide the dinner tray over a corner of it to watch movies during meals. My other cases were far less flexible and required a lot of space to set up. If you own a Samsung Galaxy Tab, this case would be perfect for you to protect your tablet and give you the support you need to enjoy your movies. 5
