  • CCA (COPPER CLAD ALUMINUM) ?? CCA wire offers the same signal frequency and reliability in terms of corrosion resistance to copper wire. The advantage of the CCA speaker wire is lighter and more flexible than copper wire. The cost of CCA vs Oxygen free copper is much lower and you can enjoy the same functions and reliability as copper wire without paying the extra cost for the installation.
  • Tough, yet flexible white insulated jacket is market with a stripe on one side for polarity and is marked with FT count for easy installation.
  • The 43 Strands 0.16mm conductors provide exceptional performance, sound quality for professional speaker and audio connections
  • 18/4 cable rated CL2 for in-wall use, complies with fire safety for use inside the walls of residential class buildings
  • Pull-Out Box with multiconductor cable reduces need to pull multiple wires for easy installation

Customer Reviews

Be aware. SMELLS NASTY.Great speaker wire. Got a lot for the price and it sounds good. The only negative is that this wire smells pretty bad, like chemicals. I know that it makes sense that it would smell like chemicals, however it was pretty strong and kind of jarring in how potent it was.Luckily after a few days the smell gets less noticeable and after a few months it fades completely.Be aware. SMELLS NASTY. FYI 4Good quality wireI'm using this a bit outside of the intended use, but will see how it holds up.Recently ran some speakers to my deck and needed to connect the two with some higher gauge wire with a UL rating. Smaller than 16g is difficult to find with a rating, so this was about all I could find in a short length.Small enough to tuck into cracks....no direct run where these speakers are....but has the additional jacket for a little added protection.I'm concerned how it'll hold up to temperature fluctuations since this isn't really rated for outdoor use, but will see how it goes. 5Not suitable for high end audio quality. In my opinion this wire is not suitable to use for audio wire and especially high end audio equipment. When using CCA and to receive the right results in delivery, audio wire has to have a certain percentage of copper coating. No where in the manufactures description was this stated, which I think is very important and should be to anyone using this product in high end audio equipment. When I was soldering the bare wires the copper cladding came off as soon as low temperature was applied, not a good sign. This wire maybe just fine for other applications but I wouldn't use it for upper end audio. 2Great substitute for monoprice wire without the shipping costMonoprice is my normal go to for any speaker wire but I hate paying their shipping costs for a single item. I figured would give this product a try and was pleased with its quality. My only complaint was that the wire was twisted when pulling it out of the box which just made it more difficult to manage. 4OK for the price, could have been better. The plastic insulation is really soft and bends easily and also breaks easily. When stripping if your not careful you will cut a lot of the wires inside. I thought this might have come with a ground wire, but it does not. It contains a cord to easily cut through the wire insulation that holds all 4 wires from the wrap. if you just need cheap wiring to do some random project this would be for you, but I wouldn't use it for something that is going to last forever since its so soft and brittle. 3Fine Speaker Wire, If You Understand The LimitsIf you are putting in a modern home theater system with height effects channels, you are going to need a LOT of speaker wire. I went through over 300' of this stuff putting in a 5.1.4 Dolby Atmos capable system into a 20x14 finished space. And because I was trying to avoid the wholesale destruction of the room, I had to do some funky runs to get the wires where they needed to be while working around most of the existing drywall. This stuff was pretty easy to work with, you just have to be careful stripping it, lest you take off too many strands, but it is otherwise quite easy to handle. It is also copper clad aluminum, not pure copper, so be careful on the long runs, near the length limits of what 14 AWG can handle. I just bought the 14AWG, 4 conductor version, and ran two conductors to (+) and two conductors to (-) on the longer runs where I was approaching the length limits. I figure 2 x 14AWG is probably more than enough to overcome the increased resistance of copper clad aluminum. Now that the system is up and running, I've had no issues with this wire. It seems to have no trouble driving all of these surround speakers correctly, even at uncomfortably high volumes, and I have not noticed any issues with interference from inadequate shielding, or any of the other kinds of issues you can get when wires are too small or crummy for the job they are being asked to do.So just be conservative in how far you run this stuff, or use the 2 conductors per terminal trick on the longer runs, and, at least in my experience, you should be fine. I don't regret the decision to avoid spending 3X more to get pure copper wire. 4Great for long runs of cable or dropping down walls with less pairsI used these for a media room where I needed to run around 60 feet from the speaker wall to the receiver wall. This was far cheaper than buying #12 CL2 rated speaker wire. I doubled up on the ends for each speaker. Two conductors per terminal. I also ran this down a wall with limited space in lieu of 2 single pair CL2 cables. This reduced the hole sizes and quantities on the double header plates. 5OK for my intercom application. The jacket is a little loose which is not critical to the performance, just an observation. As this is copper clad aluminum wire it is a bit more fragile when stripping meaning that you need to be careful so as to not rip the strands out when stripping it. 3it's okayLast 16 gauge wire I bought only came in a 100ft roll and I only needed half that length so had to settle with this brand which the price was appropriate, half of what the other brand cost. Comparing the 2 wires side by side this wire didn't appear as thick or tough. Not a huge deal for most people I guess but I wasn't too happy with the less than perfect quality. Probably not an issue if you aren't mixing wires or if you're running in wall. No issues with noise and splitting the wires wasn't an issue either. Its just speaker wire not much to say. 4but there is only minor volume loss and the sound quality is good.Works as well as any other in-wall audio cable I've used. I was concerned that connecting speakers over 200' from the amp wouldn't work well, but there is only minor volume loss and the sound quality is good. 5
