Durability failed meDurability is a zero. I went with this over Vizomax to save $50. I now have a broken Tv ($1000) and a broken screen protector ($250).My son with special needs throws remotes. We use Vizomax on the other TVs but thought I could save $50 when we upgraded our family room tv. Well that little savings cost us in the long run.I ll add a picture for context.1Viewing assured. My TV specs:Brand: SamsungSize: 40"Type: UHD 4KModel: MU6290 6 seriesWell, to start off, this protector initially arrived with no problems. Packaging included some Velcro stickers, installation guide, one microfiber cloth, and a larger velcro strap which is the primary way of securing the protector on the tv set. It took a little while to set up to my preference which I have no complaints about as I tend to be very patient. Velcro stickers are not required for installation. Simple enough to align. I recommend you use a dry erase marker when installing if you decide to use the Velcro stickers. I suggest you start off with first sticking the adhesive stickers on your TV set. That way, you can then align the screen protector in place, and then mark the area where the sticker lines up. This makes the installation of the stickers spot on when placing the other Velcro stickers on the screen protector. Asside from that, the larger Velcro strap goes through a slot on the top middle of the protector and then wraps around the bottom of your tv set or in my case I wrapped it around the back of the tv mount. The protector is slightly larger than my tv set. Bottom area of the protector is 1/2 inch larger, but thats ok as it makes certain to cover the screen area. So far nothing has hit the tv set so I could not elaborate on how well this protects the screen. Which is a good thing as I wouldn't want to go through another broken screen situation. But I can say I feel assured and more comfortable with the extra screen protection this offers. I will say, however, the glare can be bothersome at times in a well lit room. Otherwise, I would rather deal with glare only on some occasions than deal with the inevitable death impact of the sippy cup. Great buy, a little pricey, but surely may pay off in the end.4Expensive but probably worth itUsing this on a Sony xbr55x850d. This protector covers the whole TV edge to edge. It has some overhang on the bottom, about 3/4 an inch but isn't noticeable and looks fine. It does not interfere with the picture of the TV. It may add some glare but I think it's acceptable. The included velcro is in narrow strips that "just" fit the frame of my TV. The velcro strap is just "OK", I feel this could be improved some. The included velcro strap could be higher quality and be a bit more "sticky". I have the TV wall mounted and I wrapped the strap around the mount. It is kind of expensive but overall I'm happy with it and if it keeps my kids from breaking my TV it'll be worth it. Not only the cost of replacing a broken TV but saving all the time and effort of getting a large TV to your house and mounting it, etc. This is probably the best solution for protecting your TV, I do feel though that the product could be updated for newer TVs like mine that are now smaller and thinner. That's why I'm only giving 4 stars. They do include small square "blocks" that are supposed to be used for thinner framed TVs. You put the two padded "blocks" on the top of the TV and hang the protector on them. I think these are frankly useless. They are too large for the thin frame of the TV and I think it would not only make the protector more unstable it would make the TV look not-so-good.All in all, I would buy it again.4Definitely something to consider having if you have small children. After my previous tv met an unfortunate end at the hand of a Thomas the tank engine toy (just like another reviewer, it's amazing how much Thomas the Tank engine spends time in the air considering he's a Train Engine.) It does its job. and has protected against additional flying trains.it's not an eyesore, but it doesn't look super smooth either. the velcro on the side stands out.it's a little expensive, however, i had thought about making my own version of this with a DIY i found online. I looked at buying all the applicable materials it came out to be only about 20-30 bucks cheaper to do it myself. i factored in the time i would have needed (and finding a friend with all the right tools) it was worth the extra 20-30 bucks to just buy it from someone who's already done all the work.Definitely worth buying if you have a small child who likes to through things. (or a a large adult who likes to do the same)4Works great!I've got an ADHD kid who likes to throw things when frustrated. This screen protector has intercepted a half-dozen projectiles (from Xbox controllers to wooden blocks) and saved the TV every time. The protector is extremely clear, and doesn't degrade the image. A casual dusting from time to time keeps it clean; dust really doesn't accumulate on the inner side.5ASD son broke atleast 5 tv's before this thing.... THANK YOUThis is expensive but necessary if you have a child that throws objects. These new thin screened tv's are way too fragile for that. Nothing like the sturdier Tube tv's that still lie intact under tons of trash in our dumps across the world. My son was so destructive for a period of time, as I watched everything in my house become rubble....chairs broken, every glass covered picture in my house, every glass cup, every screen (I still don't carry a cell phone), and every TV for a period of time shattered. It was very discouraging, very depressing, very dark place for me. Though my kid has finally outgrown the throwing object behavior...I keep this cover on, because it doesn't effect its look, the picture clarity.5Cheaper than a replacement TV!!Life saver!! My son has broken TWO televisions in the past year. The cost of the screen protector is a bargain!! We have some overhang on our 50" TV because it is basically edge less, but you forget the screen is even there.I don't notice a difference in the screen quality, and our television is right by a giant picture window. I would highly recommend this to anyone with small children and a TV within reach (or throw):5Inconsistent productI ve bought this product twice - the first time it fit my 24 monitor perfectly. The second time I was replacing the first one after it broke. I ordered the same exact product but got a different protector - this second was was too small to fit the same exact monitor (an full inch narrower than the previous one), had a much less robust Velcro attachment (little dots instead of strips) and mismatched and too few of those attachments. Kaly really shouldn t be selling such different products under the same listing. Returning the second one disappointed and won t be buying from them again.3WORKS BUT TOO EXPENSIVE!First off I will point out the "Con's" before the "Pro's"The high price is ridiculous! ITS PLASTIC!!!! Likely cost them under a dollar each to make. I know, as I work for a manufacturer. So they should lower their price. This cost more than my 65" UHD HD Smart TV did!!! I had absolutely no choice as this is the ONLY company I found that carries something to protect my screen as my little destructive toddler threw a hard cast iron toy straight at my old tv with a running start!! I took away every hard toy he had until this arrived. I would say the other 2 "con's" is that its heavy, so if you're mounting your tv, make sure its very secured in the studs. Also, don't allow the plastic to touch the screen as that is too close and can still break. Use every single spacer they provide and even go to your local hardware store like Home Depot and get more foam spacers and place them all around the screen so that the plastic has a good gap. PRO'S: When installed properly, this protector is a Godsend and will protect your investment around your little ones as well as any clumsy adults . Easy to clean, foam spacers can easily be found and replaced when needed. Smart purchase...but the price is honestly ridiculous. PLASTIC should never cost more than the tv its protecting!!! Would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the price!!!4it works but somewhat pricyLike many others, we bought one because our kids have broken 2 TVs in the past 4 years. Considering this is just a piece of clear plastic, it seems somewhat expensive. However, if this keeps the TV's screen from being damaged until my kids are out of the house (10 more years!), it is probably worth the trouble. So far it seems to work well that it does not seem to affect the image quality. When the TV is off, the screen does reflect, considering the screen itself is black and non-reflective. It has not been a major issue for us since we usually turn off the lights behind us. If your room is well lit, try before accepting it for good. Our TV is of 58 inch (Samsung 7100 series) and its stands have legs that stick out. Thus the protector needs to be raised so as not to sit on the legs to keep it from bending. To raise the protector, the package includes two 3x1 in. (ish) foam pieces that can sit on top of the TV. The weight of the protector helps it sitting on the foam spacers. However if your TV has thin bezel all around, this is not a secure way to install it. You need to use the provided Velcro strips (with sticky tape) to secure the protector on both sizes, and you can add more Velcro if so desired. After all is done, I found that the styrofoam piece that came with the package can also work as spacer, and due to its length, it may provide an even more secure way to raise the screen. So you may want to experiment before proceeding. Once you get it set up, you may not want to mess with it too much or the tape may come off. Velcro is used so in theory you can remove the protector for cleaning. I hope I don't have to do this often ...4
