  • 14 AWG - 4 Stranded Conductors.
  • CCA (COPPER CLAD ALUMINUM) ?? CCA wire offers the same signal frequency and reliability in terms of corrosion resistance to copper wire. The advantage of the CCA speaker wire is lighter and more flexible than copper wire. The cost of CCA vs Oxygen free copper is much lower and you can enjoy the same functions and reliability as copper wire without paying the extra cost for the installation.
  • 14/4 cable rated for outdoor use or direct burial
  • Tough, yet flexible black insulated jacket is market with a stripe on one side for polarity and is marked with FT count for easy installation.
  • 99 Strands 0.16mm conductors provide exceptional performance, sound quality for professional speaker and audio connections

Customer Reviews

Aluminum wire was rotten and eroded in less than a month.ALUMINUM Copper Clad deteriorated in less than a month. Can't express my disappointment openly in public. We're having to replace all of it. The jacket is extremely stiff and hard to work with. I hate to give bad reviews, but this wire deserves it.2Terrible product! The wires will oxidize and turn to dustThis should be a zero star. It was bought in April 2019 for an outdoor application. 8 Months later I had to move some of the speakers to a new location. Terrible corrosion. Wires turned to dust. On one of them I had to remove over a foot in length before finding some, almost good, copper. The only thing that save some of them is that I used wire caps with dielectric grease. But anything slightly exposed got attacked. I have low-voltage landscape lights. That wire has been exposed for years and still looks good. When this one starts failing I will possibly replace the audio wires by the low voltage one or something else.1Not a 500' rollMy issue with this product is this. When I buy what is advertised as a 500' spool of wire, I expect to get a 500' spool of wire. What I received was two 250' spools of wire. If I wanted to make another trip to town to get an underground splice kit, I would have ordered something less than a 500' foot roll of wire.Fake advertising, so sad.1Not very flexible Outdoor cable250 feet of cable was more than I needed but the price was good so I took the chance. The outer covering on the cables is somewhat stiff and not very flexible even in 90+ degree weather. I got approximately 120 - 150 feet of cable out of the spool when I notice that the outer covering was cracked in several places the tighter the cable was on the spool. The closer you got to the end of the spool the more cracks in the outer covering. The inner cables are very flexible and appear of good quality. I decided to use shrink wrap to cover the cracks since I had already secured and cut the cabling and finished my project, wiring my outdoor speakers by the time the cracks were noticed. So I m done but have approximately 50 or so feet of cabling with some cracked outer cover. I may have thrown away 10 - 15 feet with multiple cracks.3Don t buy - quality is not goodI m writing this review because I m now about to replace 250 feet of wire I buried with this cable. It is now the second time it failed. The jacked has separations all over it, I thought this was by design, but have now found these separations kink into the wire, breaking and exposing it to one another and shorting it out. The coating on this wire it not flexible and sharp at the broken jacket segments. Find a pvc jacket- it turns to dust- only made it about a month. BUY SOLID STRANDED COPPER, NOT CCA COPPER CLAD ALUMINUM FOR OUTDOOR WIRE!!1The wire coating is nice quality, thick and durableThis is the cheapest wire you can buy on Amazon and I used it for landscape lighting. The wire coating is nice quality, thick and durable. The wire itself is very poor quality. Not a metals guys, but it appears to be a copper coated silver wire vs a true copper wire. The wires that are spun together are very thin and brittle. When using a wire nut, it ripped off the wire multiple times.Once I figured out the best way to cut & connect the wire to my 20 landscape lights, the wire ended up working well. I hope it lasts a long time as I don't have any desire to replace it anytime soon. All my lights work well and the higher gauge allowed me to connect longer wire runs. Would buy again if I need cheap wire, but if you are doing a sound system I'd upgrade to a nicer wire.3Go with low voltage outdoor wire insteadThis wire has suffered from water damage in less than two months. Had to split the wire and the copper oxidized already. I have it spliced to low voltage wire and that wire is holding up without and signs of wear. I may have to now re-wire my outdoor speaker system because I've lost connection twice due to wires getting wet and becoming weak.1This wire will corrode!I used this wire to install a Sonnarray outdoor speaker system last year. We started noticing issues with the speaker system a few months after install but dealt with it as it still sounded good and played loud. We fired the system up for the first time in several months this weekend and only one of the nine speakers was playing. I started pulling wire from speaker to speaker to see if I could find the issue. At 7 of the 9 speaker locations, the wire had corroded and completely separated. I'm in AZ and the wire is located in a relatively dry environment. For it to not last a full year tells you all you need to know about the quality. It's likely not OFC and will be a nightmare to maintain. We're ripping it all out and starting over with better wire!1Low quality cable with serious problemsReceived this item quickly and on time. However I should have heeded the advice of previous buyers. The outer shield of the cable is extremely stiff and hard to work with. Small loops or bends are difficult. The outer cover is easily abraded and does not seem very durable when pulling through conduit. The worse part is the stranded wire material itself. It is NOT copper, but rather aluminium wire with a thin copper coating. Looking at the wire end I could see already dark discoloration at the cut side. After making a fresh cut to take a small amount off (less than 1/4"), one could see already darkening of the aluminum /copper junction within a couple of hours. I hate to see what happens in an outdoor or damp environment.More disappointed followed by trying to solder. The solder could not completely cover the solder joint as the oxidation between aluminum and copper cladding took place immediately. Even worse, the wire insulation is NOT of PVC material and will melt and shrivel very quickly after moderate heat was applied. I am working in the electronics industry for 38 years and know how to solder! If you still insist to splice the wires and put heatshrink tubing over the joint, the heat of the heat gun will melt the insulation underneath the shrink tubing, creating a unreliable connection.I cannot recommend this product, especially not for any serious commercial application. Do yourself a favor and spend a few extra Dollars and buy a better product.1Oxidation!!!!!This wire is horrible it oxidizes and falls apart at the terminals....do nt purchase1
