Expectations Met.A fine budget tablet with keyboard included. Could very well work as a light-duty laptop replacement, depending upon application.Tablet performance is commensurate with the specifications and price-point advertised. With HDMI output, a full-size USB port, another OTG USB port, a touch-pad, two options (internationally as well) for charging with the included USB charging brick, these features are slightly above average for this level of technology in one package. Keyboard's key travel is fairly short, the feel is solid. A bit weighty for the combo, the keyboard seems heavier than the tablet, which is a nod to the overall sturdiness of the unit. Tactile feel is very acceptable for the materials used in their construction.2MP and 5MP front- and rear-facing cameras, respectively, adequate for the design at this price and should not out-perform their specifications unless software, either included or obtained afterwards, can overcome certain inherent limitations. Sound can be heard from both sides of the tablet, discernible stereo capability is questionable, but should definitely be discernible from the 3.5mm output jack using earbuds, headphones or supplemental external speakers. CPU and GPU processing power works well with the included Android operating system. 10.1-inch screen size and video quality does exist, lag is generally application-dependent. 2GB of memory is fine for the intended purposes, the supposed 32GB micro-SD card limitation for the storage upgrade path is reasonably cheap.Pros: Switches and ports are clearly labeled on the back side at the top and right, easy to identify. Cons: Switches and ports are clearly labeled on the back side at the top and right, slightly degrades aesthetic symmetry. After several years, wanted to upgrade from a 7-inch tablet to a 10.1-incher and retain the use of an HDMI output. Seems prices have dropped and quality has gone up. Simbans TangoTab fits the bill.5OK value for the price, but max volume is not loud enough and is areal drawback. This was my first venture into the tablet world, except for my Kindles. I bought this mainly so that I could watch stream video subscription services away from my computer in comfort. I am very happy with this tablet and believe it is a good value for the price. It was a snap to get going and I had my apps up and running in no time.I originally gave gave this 4 stars rather than 5 mainly because the max volume is barely loud enough. This is the only real drawback that I found. A more minor drawback is that the battery life is only listed as 5 hours but it seems I need to recharge before 5 hours.Dec, 2019 - I am updating my review down to 1 star. very disappointed with the poor volume output on this tablet. I usually watch movies when the house is quiet an I can still hardly hear the speaking. I am starting to go back to watching movies on the 4 inch moto phone rather than the 10 inch TabgoTab because the phone has much better sound and video quality. I did find a bluetooth speaker which helps some but the tablet is just not ideal for what I bought it for. And music? Forget it, as sound quality is awful. Sorry, TangoTab... really nice specs but product does not deliver for me. I wish I could return this. I did contact support and they did reply with complicated instructions to reboot or reinstall the OS. Since the volume has been poor from the get-go, I am unwilling to go thru these hoops.1Does everything I wanted in a tablet for a great price. I gave away my Kindle Fire because ...Does everything I wanted in a tablet for a great price. I gave away my Kindle Fire because the Comcast/Xfinity App. is no longer supported on Kindle. I loved my Kindle but it always had it's limitations. In order to use the Amazon Prime Video App. on this Android tablet (not in Google Play Store) you have to download from Amazon and enable third party applications (slightly tricky but not too painful). FYI this has a Mini HDMI cable feature (not the Micro HDMI). Now all of my Apps work!5Great BargainWorks almost as good as a full-blown PC. Brilliant screen, fast and not bloated with unwanted software. One may also specify that the SD card be used for apps and data for YOUR machine only. Speakers have the most volume of any android tablet I have. This machine also comes with ear buds.5Makes loading and using apps a cinch!I wanted a tablet for two reasons. One, I was completely out of room on my phone and wanted to test how easy it was to use apps with the Android platform on the Tango tablet. Second, I was looking for something that was lighter weight but seemed to be easier to read. This tablet satisfied all my requirements. I turned it on and had it up and running within minutes. Using my wireless network, I was able to grab all my Android apps from my phone and copy/move them onto the tablet. There was a built in feature on the tablet that did this for me. I have arthritic, shaky hands but took a high-quality clear picture within seconds with the built in camera. The quality of the screen display was clear and beautiful. I was able to attach the keyboard to the tablet very easily. I found I personally liked using the touchscreen more than the keyboard. The touchscreen was much more responsive but I used both. I tested the sound quality and the ability to play a heavier video games. The game (Runescape) played the same on this tablet as on a phone or computer. We listened to YouTube music videos which sounded great. There seems to be plenty of space and ram for my purposes. When I need more, it appears I can easily do so with an SD drive. The only downsides I found were that the battery took longer to charge than my phone so I wish that was faster. Also, when I was using my Chrome browser, I would accidentally pull down the menu (at the top) displaying charge left, etc. I wasn t sure how to move this to a different side of the screen.Overall, I would highly recommend this tablet for work, school or pleasure purposes.5Amazed and surprisedAmazed and surprised!I read the reviews. The only negatives experienced are the slight lag after selecting something, speaker quality and with a few live TV feeds from my cable provider there is a video lock up after a few seconds..The lag is slight for me. With key press sounds turned on, I know the selection is coming. The speaker quality is unimportant because I use earbuds or a bluetooth headset. The live feed TV video freeze is a bit of a bummer. However, quality is otherwise surprising. The keyboard and protective, magnetic case are impressive. Overall video quality is superb imho. I am use to my Android phone with the 6.1 version. The Simbans tablet is android 6.0. There are few features that I miss; one of them is the adaptive lighting along with a short list of other adjustments. The complaints pale when the incredible low price is considered.. I only wish I had bought the version without the keyboard as it is used infrequently and the touch screen keyboard is quite adequate for 95% of what I need. The additional memory might cure my video freezing. Speaking of video, I downloaded about four hours of it from Netflix. I watched nearly all of it with one charge in battery saver mode. I am not experiencing any short battery life and to the contrary it last nearly as long as my phone. My phone takes about 7 hours to charge when under 10%. The Tango takes 4 hours. As for the system crashing, freezing and becoming unbootable. I have experienced none of that. Other than a couple of live TV feeds the tablet never skips a beat. Alas, this is my first tablet. I could be missing something better without knowing what "better" might be. That said, I would recommend this item in one heartbeat.5Hope I got a lemon... UPDATEI spent weeks researching Android tablets with Bluetooth and finally chose this. The selling points were the keyboard and reviews. Package arrived a day early. Wonderful packaging and thought as advertised. I was supposed to get the bonus items which were a cover and screen protector (I thought) but didn't receive either. The screen already had a decent scratch on it but thought oh well. It seemed to perform well out of box but after about 30 min it began to drag so bad it was unusable.I rebooted and seemed ok and thought it was perhaps a one time thing. No, it slows to a crawl after about 30 min constantly having to reboot.I wiped all apps and tried to troubleshoot yet nothing seems to work. On start it performs fine until I open an app.I am fairly certain I may have received a defective tablet. I've had it for three days and have given up using it.I plan on contacting tabletmart to see if they can send a replacement. I will post update telling how my experience with customer service goes.I hate to rag on tablet until I try a new unit bc I'm hoping I just got a lemon.Updated review to follow.UPDATEI contacted Tablet Mart and they said to send back and when received they would send a new one. Amazon sent a replacement right away. Not through TM. It arrived within a few days and I honestly hoped I had a dud. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. This tablet had issues right out of the box. Took much longer to set up. Dragged and froze with little application. Then the wifi connection became non existent or very erratic. I reboot home router but to no avail. Not to mention I have a household of devices running with no wifi issues.I'm not sure why I received two "lemons" but I am not taking a chance with a third, lol. I will be sending this one back as well. This was my experience. There are many great reviews so who knows. I may dish out a few extra bucks and try the Lenova.1Good Buy and Easy To UseMy 64yo mother was able to set this up herself with minimal support (I just helped her create a gmail account) and she loves it! Excellent buy and super easy to use. It's a great pad for playing games that don't require HD graphics or for browsing social media and checking email. Just what she needed.5Good Deal, Well No, A rotten deal really.Shipping was a little slow but still arrived on time. Tablet seems to be well worth the price. I would say it's a good deal and recommend it to others.Edit, About a month later. After about two weeks of receiving the tablet the detachable keyboard stopped working. I contacted Amazon technical support. Nothing they said to try worked. I contacted Simbans and the sent me another keyboard. Tracking showed it was sent from Hong Kong. When it arrived it was in a very thin card box with absolutely no protective packing material whatsoever. Fist thing that came to my mind was that they didn't think it was worth the expense of packing material. Anyway, It was DOA. Nothing worked. The power light would not even come on. I contacted Simbans again . They said maybe there was something wrong with the tablet itself. They wanted me to wipe out all my info from the tablet, box the tablet and both the new and old keyboard and ship it to them with tracking. At my expense. To be repaired or replaced at their will. Six weeks turnaround. Or I could pay $30 and they would send me a new tablet. To me that's not right. I paid for a New, Working, Tablet And Keyboard. Not repaired And Not one penny more. I will throw the keyboards in the trash and use the tablet as long as it works. Then I will find another. I guarantee it will not be a Simbans. I will never make that mistake again.1Don't waste your hard earned money on this product...The battery life does not hold up for business or school work and if you're only passively using it, you'll be more upset about it too. I get it, you might say "well you get what you pay for." Well, this is one of those situations where you're right but you're also wrong... you don't have to brake the bank in order to get a good value for your buck. The materials are of low quality and it looks very cheap when compared to tables of around the same value. I got my child a tablet (Insignia, Windows based with intel hardware Mo.# NS-P10W8100) for his personal use while in H.S. and when compared to this tablet the differences are extreme. When side-to-side although the price difference is not by much, (I actually paid more for this tablet than for thr other one ) the asterisks of both devices are very different. While the Insignia tablet look and feel sturdier, when I pick up my tablet (Simbans TangoTab) I feel it must be handled with care, because it feels is going to brake apart on my hands and although there's no reasonable or positive comparison between these two tables. I cannot reasonably recommended. The operating software is very much different and don't get me started on every single difference because we'll be here for a very long time . The question now is whether or not should I keep it. Unfortunately, it cannot be returned .1
